Followed all…read morerules given by Nike security, but SF Nike store manager Raquel Collazo was on a power trip & removed us from front of line & refused to give us wristbands. Raquel Collazo & her team were giving ppl conflicting info for the Nike x BTS collab event. We were the first ones to arrive on 7/4 & waited for over 16 hrs. Security told us to wait in our car & line up at the entrance when they set up stanchions on 7/5 11am. They confirmed multiple times on 7/4 & 7/5 not to line up in the unofficial line across the street bc it would not be honored. 7/5 approximately 10am: Raquel, Mel & security guard exited the store & walked across the street to the unofficial line at "the Square." Other employees brought out the stanchions, so we went to line up at the entrance. However, the employee had no clue what to do & had us wait there so he can radio his manager. We waited for a while, & were passed to another employee named Mel, who also didn't know what to do. Then, Mel passed us to Raquel. We told her we needed wristbands bc we were the first to arrive on 7/4 & have been waiting for 16 hrs. However, she was rude, dismissive & refused to give us wristbands. Raquel was on a power trip & kept repeating, "THEY REPORT TO ME" when asking ARMY's who advised us to line up at the Nike entrance. We even offered to show pictures that we took when we arrived, but she said no and ignored us. So, ARMY's who followed the rules were punished & removed from the line for no reason. Nike, please retrain your employees! Raquel Collazo lacks empathy & accountability & did not apologize for their misinformation. This goes against Nike's core expectations for Nike's Code of Conduct. Also, Raquel Collazo claimed she spent 30 days training her team for the BTS x Nike event, but it was poorly managed & executed. Many of us ARMY's spent our days, money, time, energy, & gas traveling to SF for nothing. Unfortunately, a highly anticipated event that was meant to be sweet, fun & memorable turned sour. NIKE at SF, do better. It's embarrassing. We're longtime Nike customers & spent lots of money on Nike products, but we are never returning to this location. This negative experience has tainted the Nike brand's reputation. We will be taking our business to competitor brands that have high customer satisfaction. Of course my daughter asked for the North Face 1996 Nuptse for her birthday, and we figured it had to be a woman's small... ...but she's petite, and we wondered if the black youth XL might work. By some miracle we not only found it in stock at Footprint (that coat+size is IMPOSSIBLE to find), but also maybe just a 40-minute drive in to the Taraval store! Through both the ordering process and picking it up, I was struck by how professional and helpful the staff was. A 5-star experience. We also had some follow-up questions after the purchase, and Footprint's customer service team went above and beyond to assist. After placing an order, I reached out to check on shipping status and received a warm, timely response letting me know they were looking into it. I really appreciated that they didnt' just send a generic reply - they followed up with updates and kept me informed. absolutely the worst company I've ever dealt with. I ordered a north face jacket 5 days ago and was expecting it to show up today or tomorrow and they send me an email today saying they oversold the jacket and can't fulfill the order. so how does your site allow you to do this in the first place and then how does it take you 5 days to communicate to the custimer that this had happened. Thoroughly impressed with my first visit to On the Run Shoes. It's been at least 20 years since the last time I had the kind of full service shoe shopping that they provide here. I arrived on a Saturday around noon, was greeted immediately upon entering, and was asked if I was in to browse or if I needed assistance. I chose the latter and was assigned very promptly to the sales specialist Will. He had me sit and asked me questions on what I was looking for. I told him about my new work situation and he asked what kinds of aches and pains I was experiencing in my feet at work. I told him it was primarily in the arch and ball of my foot and I was mostly worried about my knees and lower back. My job involves shipping and order fulfillment and I work out of a converted home in the city - all day long I'm either standing, carrying boxes up and down stairs, or running around doing various tasks. It's rare that I sit unless I'm on my lunch break. Will also had me take the shoes I was wearing off and walk back and forth in my socks so he could analyze my gait. Then he measured my feet and turns out that my shoe size is more of an 8 or 8.5 - I'd been wearing size 7 for years! After the consultation Will brought out three pairs of shoes for me to try. HOKA, New Balance, and Brooks. He put them on me and laced them up, then had me walk around in them and give him feedback. I figured out pretty quickly that the New Balance shoes felt the best - the other two were a little too roomy and wide - I like the feeling when a shoe is hugging my foot and is secure. I was also recommended to get special cork insoles for greater arch support and stability. Will put those insoles into the shoes I chose and had me feel the difference. I ended up purchasing both the shoes and insoles. Total with tax was just a little over $240. It's the most I've spent on shoes in decades but it's worth the splurge being that I'll be wearing these at least 5 out of the 7 days each week. At checkout I was told of their return policy - only store credit and the shoes have to be in re-sellable condition. I doubt I'm going to have problems with these after the very thorough consultation and selection process. Thank you to everyone and especially to Will for an amazing experience. I'll definitely be back and also highly recommend anyone to go here if you want happy feet. I take public transport in the city and the 44 MUNI drops me off literally across the street from the shop at 9th and Irving.

The best way I can describe it is like Olivander's in Harry Potter but for running shoes. This store stocks stylish footwear and I always find something that is comfortable too. It had been a few years since I had last shopped there and I went there today in search of some ankle boots. I immediately noticed the liquidation sale signs in the window. However the store still had a good selection of ankle boots along with shoes and sandals. I ended up buying two pairs of boots! Both were on sale with an additional 20% off of that sale price. I was sad to learn from the owner that just this week he had been given 60 days notice that his lease is being terminated - this is after he has owned the store for 40 years. It's such a shame because after I left the store with my purchases, I wandered down the rest of the retail section of union street and I noticed several empty store fronts with For Lease signs.
