Who knew the company that installed my ac would cause me so many issues creating holes in my vents, and opening my crawl space. Thank god all the rats were gone. I then contacted the company again because of spiders and other bugs that started coming into my house. I also had slight termite damage. I contacted Jesse again and he explained the process of tenting. Jesse set me a YouTube video of how to prepare and what to expect. I know I was a bit much with all my questions, but Jesse from Ikill pest control didn't show any frustration and answered all my questions. I had forgot To bag some things and some expensive medication before we left for fumigation, and they actually did it for me. They were a lot cheaper than a lot of other company's I inquired about and I feel like as much time as they spent talking me through this issues, they are underpaid. Here's an honest take of pros and cons though: Pros: - Super nice service and the workers who did the tenting portion of the job even did their best to clean up and fix up our landscaping since we had to rake away gravel and mulch to make this work. - Very competitive pricing, and was actually one of the lowest ones we had out of the few companies we quoted. - Billing is via credit card without any fees, so that was a nice change from the typical check asks. Note handled via phone in terms of credit card billing. Cons: - We still had a few broken tree branches after tent removal. Not removing any stars for that, but more of a watch out to any homeowners who have landscaping or are particular with their gardens to be sure to do all the necessary prep work and hire landscapers after the fumigation to ensure everything is back in order, because your landscaping will be changed up for making fumigation work (or at least that's what happened to our house). During the process, I came in contact with about a half dozen team members, all of whom were friendly, professional, and personally concerned with our wellbeing. That was important because I found that ridding a home of rodents is not easily achieved. The initial step was to survey the house, seal potential entry sites, then set the traps. The HS team completed the process and set up an appointment to check the traps. after a couple visits, we still heard the vermin scratching around. So, HS brought in a senior inspector who found a few open areas I never would have thought to identify (openings between the outside wall and the foundation that were tucked up underneath the visible area). Those areas were sealed and within ten days, we no longer heard anything. I check of the traps today revealed a large intruder had been eliminated. Home shield performed like partners in our quest to eliminated rodents from our home. They came back as often as needed without complaint and escalated appropriately to assure our problem was solved. And importantly, they never once questioned our reports of hearing critters.
