The mighty club is hands down the best club sandwich in Omaha. It's definitely big enough to share. Reasonable prices and plenty of seating. The people that work there are always friendly. I always feel like foodies is underrated, it's not the fanciest place and sticks to the classics but I think it deserves more credit for being consistent and affordable. The menu included Italian, pizza, Mexican, sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups, smoothies, desserts and a kids menu - nice! My group of four arrived at the end of the lunch rush, so we were told at the counter there would be a 20 minute wait for our food. The wait paid off because the food was delicious. My mahi mahi taco plate ($10.99) included generous portions of fish and toppings on fresh tortillas with Spanish rice and cole slaw. The meal was very flavorful and filling. Weekend trip to omaha and our hotel luckily happened to be right across the street. The restaurant was very bright and clean, treated quickly and ready to order. This place has been here for as long as I can remember and just recently I happened to be in the area and was happy to see that they opened at 10am! Perfect! I was just coming from getting my hair trimmed and popped in to see what specials they had. I almost opted for the special that day which happened to be the shrimp alfredo but instead went with my tried and true mahi mahi street tacos! I also ordered the tiramisu to finish off my brunch. The street tacos were prepared and served to my table in a fair amount of time and looked just as amazing as the first time I tried them. The sauce on the tacos is tasty. If you wanted there's room for a little bit of kick too. I love that they serve the coleslaw on the side as well. The Spanish rice is a nice touch with the tacos as well. The fish is always cooked perfectly. To me, it never tastes too fishy or too dry. After I finished my meal I finally enjoyed their tiramisu. I absolutely loved it! It was delightful and just the right size. It had the perfect blend of flavors but wasnt too sweet or overpowering. If you enjoy tiramisu you'll have to get a taste of theirs. It's completely worth it. The street tacos were wonderful too but for some reason on this day the tiramisu outshines my love for the mahimahi street tacos! read more

I had a morning eye appt at Malbar next door and when finished, I decided to drop in at Foodies for lunch. Fortunately they opened at 10am and I was able to have an early lunch before getting back to work. They have a big menu selection, it was hard to decide what to order but I ended up going for the 10" Thai Chicken Pizza with some fresh brewed ice tea. It wasn't very busy yet so I was able to enjoy some quiet time in a booth by myself and finish my library book. The thin crust pizza was really good and flavorful! I was only able to eat about 2/3 so I got a to-go container to eat the rest for dinner. This would be a nice place to have lunch with a friend. The music was really good and so was the ambiance. I really really enjoyed the food I got from here tonight. I've heard of Foodies and have driven by it so many times I decided to get take out tonight and give it a try. It was so good! I would compare the menu to Panera but better and fresher and homemade. Plus they have a Mexican menu I will be back to try. I love that the potato soup had bits of carrots in it. It was so delicious! I picked up my food 15 minutes before they closed and I didn't feel like they gave me bottom of the barrel soup or old lettuce that was sitting out all day. Everything was so fresh and flavorful. When picking up my food I noticed their dessert cabinet and I WILL be back to try their cheesecake. Today, takeout was ordered for a dinner meeting. Chicken tacos on corn tortillas was selected. The chicken meat was tender and tasty, however the corn tortillas broke off upon touching the materials. I really do not like this place. There prices are very expensive , they are a casual dining set up with Dine in prices. I got an Ice Tea and Brought my own insulted tumbler. The very rude cashier lectured about how charge more for reusable cups I .00 more for Ice Freaking tea . The cheapest drink in the dang world. This plant hating jerks have a Keurig machine for coffee. making a pot of coffee is to hard them apparently. Their drink section is disappointing to to say the least . The tea quality was lack luster Do not go here if you are tree hugger. I don't mind pay more for expectational food. This is clearly not executional. The owner of the place is extremely rude. He doesn't care if he has your business. And if you need any extra plates, be prepared to pay ALOT of money. I took an order to go because my daughter was in the hospital, I asked for five extra plates because I had a large order, and he charged me an extra $15. When I questioned him about it, he told me to "F" off and get out of the restaurant. I have never been treated like this in my entire life. I was absolutely disgusted. The food was not even good. I will never recommend this place to anybody, and I would highly recommend you run away fast if you're thinking about going to this restaurant. the food is terrible, the service is 100 times worse. I rarely drive past this shopping center, but when I saw the name of this place I was intrigued and decided to check it out. I'm glad I did. The menu is extensive and the prices are very good. The only things stopping me from 5 stars are the employees' demeanors and the fact that they don't understand what a "wrap" is. The employees were two of the most miserable men I've seen in a long time and it showed in their every word and movement. I don't know if they were very busy that day (there were only two tables of customers and a group of three ahead of me, but maybe I missed the rush), but from the employees' attitudes you would think they worked in a prison cafeteria. People who I assume were regulars based on how they greeted them came in and they weren't any nicer or friendlier to them than they were to me. I've been searching for a chicken Caesar wrap since I moved here 2 years ago (apparently it's not as common here as it is in NY), so I was really excited to see it on the menu. What I was given was definitely delicious, so I'm planning on returning to try their other sandwiches, but it was essentially an open-faced pita with seasoned chicken. There was no cheese, very little dressing, no croutons, and the lettuce was all at the bottom so I didn't taste any until the last bite. Came to Foodies because I needed a fast meal before work and it was a average meal. The service was great and efficient so that made the experience 2x better. I had ordered the "Loaded Chicken Enchiladas" with no coleslaw. The tortilla of the enchiladas was a bit hard like it was cooked too long. I wasn't very pleased with the enchiladas filler, it was quite original and lacked a certain flavor. Overall I give it a 3 and I do recommend, maybe not the enchilada. read more

We were across the street and feeling a bit peckish at lunchtime, looked up and wondered what food fare we would find at Foodies and it was a major score. There is a little bit of everything you might be craving for a noon meal... sandwiches, soups, salads, pasta, pizza, and tacos... YUM. I ordered the carnitas street tacos and they were very tasty, loaded with great flavor and all the fixins. Also snagged the sweet potato fries with the chipotle aioli and shoveled those down until they were gone. I took a bite of the shrimp pesto pasta and I'm not too sure about that one... I make a pretty good pesto myself and I like a bit more garlic and Parmesan in my pesto. Didn't try the beet and goat cheese salad this time, but my dining companion enjoyed it and recommended it for future visits along with the tomato soup. And our fresh food meal was served fast and was so much healthier than other fast options. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area. read more

Stopped on in today for a quick casual lunch with a friend, and was pleasantly surprised with Foodies, a place I'd not have gone to on my own (probably) because of the aggregate Yelp reviews. It takes a lot for me to give 5 starts, but their Thai Peanut pizza, damn near blew air up my skirt so I settled on 4.5 stars. So easy to call and put your order in. You'll be asked what time you want to pick it up, and it's definitely done by then. I was unable to go inside the establishment due to my job (essential), but I was told it was quite cozy in there for if/when dining in comes back. I will definitely be trying more items on their menu! The small (aka 6 pieces) was $10.99 and a perfect split when you snag another small, from a different pizza place to share. read more

I have wanted to try this place for awhile. But they close kind of early so the hours don't always work with my job however I was able to make it work one night last week. I was greeted very warmly allowed the time to look over the menu and figure out what I wanted ended up just going with a basic ham and cheese. Foodies is a great little hidden place. The atmosphere is nice and servers were all friendly. I got the Mesquite smoked Turkey Paratha Wrap. The wrap was really good and quite filling. It had provolone, tomatoes and lettuce and had it with house salad. The Sandwich was great with plenty of smoked turkey. The mesquite flavorite was perfect and matched the crisp fresh vegetables on it. The house salad was a decent size and had a great mixture of flavors.
