He is truly the most exceptional dentist I've had in terms of fully explaining your options, bed side manners, and follow up (phone calls on weekends, written thank you notes, etc). My dentist determined I needed a root canal and referred me to Dr. Folk. Everyone in his office was great! I had to split the appointment into two, to deal with an infection in my tooth. Dr Folk throughly explained everything. Such great bed side manner! He asked what tv channel I wanted to watch during the procedure, Oxygen. And he remembered the channel I liked when I returned a few weeks later for my 2nd appointment. He also called me the following morning after my first appointment to see how I was doing. Never have I had any dentist follow up personally, usually it might be one of the office staff, but no it's Dr. Folk who takes the time to call and follow up. A week after my second appointment I received a nice letter thanking me for coming to him for my procedure. I hope not to need any more root canals, but if I do, I will go see Dr. Folk! read more

My dentist referred me to Dr. Folk because x-rays indicated possible resorption. Dr. Folk's front office was pleasant and professional. They worked with my schedule and got me in to see him within a very reasonable time. They also explained in advance the payment options. I very much appreciated this information. As for Dr. Folk, he is clearly an expert in the field and spent a great deal of time examining the tooth and then showing me, using the scan, the issue with my tooth. We discussed for a considerable amount of time all my options. His recommendation was what was in my best interest even though it meant I would not pursue a procedure that would make him money. Dr. Folk is amazing! I went for a failed root canal done elsewhere and he did a retreatment - which is basically a second root canal. He was thorough, personable and explained all my options in detail. He's a super friendly person. I wish he was a regular dentist so I could use him all the time. I got a small refund from this endodontist because my insurance paid a little too much. You read that right. I've never ever have this happen to me before. It just speaks to the integrity and honesty of this clinic. Not only that, Doctor Folk literally oozes professionalism, skill, and bedside manner. Office staff are nice and helpful. The root canal price was very reasonable and was as initially quoted over the phone. No gimmicks, games, or nickel and diming. Dr Folk takes his time to make sure that everything is done right. It is rare to have a dentist that place is a priority doing the right thing as opposed to making the most profit. He will take care of you and make you feel completely confident and at ease. I was referred here for a consultation regarding a root canal, the diagnosis without 3D imaging scans was to have the tooth pulled. I went to another establishment for a second opinion and really glad I did. The tooth was heavily analyzed and determined that it could be saved and should last me a lifetime with proper care. I did not have a good experience with this office. I just had shoulder surgery and when I asked for help filling out forms I was scoffed at and was told to fill them out on my phone with my other arm. They are not contracted with Delta Dental and I was asked to pay 100% of the root canal up front which was $1675. I explained that I wasn't prepared to pay this and offered to pay $700. After my insurance paid a portion, my out of pocket fee was still $971 with my PPO plan. This is double of what I've paid everywhere else. I won't return. read more

Dr. Folk and his staff are superb!! My husband had an emergency and they made room for him to be evaluated and even planned for possible dental surgery! It turned out what he had was not tooth related but trigeminal neuralgia! Dr. Folk could have taken advantage of us (it's happened before with other dentists) but instead he was honest! Thanks dr. Folk , my husband got his root canal done and had to go twice to finish the process but I was pleased that my husband was so happy with the treatment and everyone. Was referred to Dr. Folk by my dentist for treatment of tooth abscess. Appt made promptly. Office staff was courteous and efficient. Dr. Folk was prompt. We had long discussion over the issue and the x-rays. He completely explained the procedure, and I consented. He was very gentle in all phases of the procedure and explained what he was doing every step of the way. When he was done, he gave me explicit post op instructions before i left. I really enjoyed my time with Dr Folk. Although getting a root canal, or any dental work for that matter sucks, I really enjoyed the follow up I got from this office. My dentist sent me to Dr. Folk yesterday for an Emergency Root Canal. Last place I would have expected to be Monday afternoon. I can honestly say this Doctor and his assistants made a horrible situation a thousand times BETTER than it could have been. What a gentle, professional, kind doctor. I was in agony with my tooth abscess. I was hurting badly. I felt instantly comfortable and safe. He was very cautious numbing me until I felt nothing. This was NOT fast. Not for one second did I feel rushed or uncomfortable. The numbing shot was painless (a miracle) because he took his time. I agree with everyone's reviews of the great work Dr. Folk does - sadly, I have had many root canals in the past, but this is the first time I can actually say it was a pleasant and easy going experience. Dr. Folk is very skilled and makes the whole procedure as pleasant and quick as possible. He even follows up with a call the next day to see how you are. I've had a few root canals done by Dr. Folk, the endodontist referred by my dentist years ago. I've since moved to another city but I will never forget this doctor. There is a reason that every review here has 5 stars for Dr. Folk. I had a filling performed by my regular dentist that brought severe sensitivity and pain and was thus referred to Dr. Folk. Dr. Folk was apologetic for the pain, intently listened to my concerns, and walked me through all of my options. When we decided to go through with a root canal, something that I appreciated that he did was talk to me through each step during the procedures. He would say, "Ok, now I am going to do XYZ." He really made me feel so much more comfortable as a result. That way I had an idea of what he was about to do rather than just feel like a random person laying on a chair being poked and drilled on. He made it personal. Want to know the best part? He himself called me the net day to check in on me and see how my pain was and if I had any questions or concerns! I agree with Ronald. I am a medical professional and I love how he takes time listens to me and explains everything very clearly. His thinking skill is very sharp. He is very organized and he can think about mechanisms of conditions, lists up appropriate differentials, and solve the puzzle and founds out where is the pain coming from. I also like him not being too aggressive. He knows when to do what procedure. I worked with dentists who could be very aggressive in the past and told me that I need to do this procedure that procedures, but Dr Folk is not like that. He truly considers what is best for his patients and he is honest and upfront about it. He is the best dentist that I have ever seen! highly recommended! read more
