I decided to call Pomerado Endodontics based on the great reviews and despite the negative reviews- hey! there's always 2 sides to every story.. My first interaction was with Lily- she was so kind and did everything in her power to get me in as soon as possible for a consult. She sent me all the paperwork to fill out and they were able to fit me in the very next day. The initial appointment consult was fast and efficient. Dr. Kenny was able to find the problem and explained his plan to make it better. I booked the soonest appointments to get started. The second appointment was a root canal. They made sure I was numb and got started right away. I've had one before and I couldn't believe I was in and out within an hour. The third appointment happened 2 days later-surgery to save a tooth that had a failed root canal. I've never had this procedure done before so I didn't know what to expect but his team explained everything thoroughly. Despite all the work- I managed to survive with minimal bleeding and swelling. My last appointment for this series was to remove the sutures which was just fine. I'm about a little over a week post-op and I feel great. He was able to do the surgery and remove both teeth with the speed I comfort I never experience before. It was just "top, top and pull" and the tooth was gone. Wow, it was amazing and Dr. Miner is amazing and absolutely the best! Today, I'm still doing great, no pain and no bleeding! I think Dr. Miner is the best oral surgeon in the San Diego area. A few weeks later, I received a call from the office stating that I now owed the consultation fee, which was frustrating since I was previously told it would be covered. I was later informed that the issue stemmed from an incorrect billing code being submitted. Understandably, this left me feeling uneasy. What changed everything was a call I received today from Dr. Lim himself. He apologized sincerely for the confusion and explained that he is working to improve the system to avoid these kinds of issues in the future. Thankfully, the office was able to get me in significantly sooner due to my pain. When I went in, due to COVID-19, I called the office and they told me to come to the front door and wait. Lilia greeted me wearing her mask and took my temperature and asked me a series of COVID-19 related questions. I was then led to the office and taken to the exam room right away. I filled out paperwork (you can also do this online prior to your visit) and then met with the dental assistant (I'm sorry I forgot her name, but she's absolutely lovely!) After the paperwork, she helped me get set up for the examination and took x-rays for the doctor. This process took 15 mins. The doctor came in after that. He was to the point but friendly. After examining the x-rays, asking me some questions regarding my pain, and then tapping the tooth to test it out, he determined I needed a root canal. I was prepared to do this right away so I could be out of pain ASAP. After I gave approval, the doctor numbed my mouth and literally finished the procedure in 30 minutes. I had to come back two weeks later to have the work completed due to disinfectant being placed inside the area that was worked on, it was as smooth as can be! It took about 30 minutes then, too. I'm super impressed with this office. I don't want another root canal, but if I had to have one, I'd definitely come back here!
