Months ago I had been wanting to switch dentists and had extreme tooth pain so I wanted to deal with it elsewhere. I had been told about this place by a coworker that had nothing but good things to say so I decided to call and schedule. The most friendly support answered and scheduled me quick for an exam. When I tell you that from when I walked in I knew that this would be my forever dentist. Every visit they always went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable every step of the way. Usually I get scared for treatment but knowing Dr. Tais Trevelin was my dentist with her amazing team assisting, I knew I would be sent home just fine. I had my tooth extracted and she was nothing but careful all while doing the whole procedure so smooth. After the procedure, they didn't just send me off they gave me an ice pack and the sweetest little recovery bag with gauze, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, oral pain relief gel, and even a soup packet to help me heal. It wasn't just helpful, it was sooooo thoughtful and made me feel so taken care of. What also meant a lot to me is how they handled everything with my insurance. They helped me navigate the whole process and made sure things were covered, so I barely had to pay anything out of pocket. That kind of support makes a huge difference, especially when you're already dealing with dental stress. The whole experience was and that's rare to say about the dentist! Capri Dentistry truly cares, and it shows!

Worst experience ever with a dental office. I do not recommend. Communication is horrible.

I found this practice through a recommendation in the community, where I kept hearing that Dr. Cho…read moreis very honest and detail-oriented. It's a smaller office, but everything runs very efficiently, which was really impressive. I filled out the forms ahead of time, so there was almost no wait before being seen. One of the biggest advantages is that they have X-rays, CT, and 3D scanning all in-house, so you don't need to go elsewhere for additional imaging -- everything can be done in one place. The exam itself was very calm and straightforward, but thorough. He made sure to go over everything I needed to know without being overwhelming. And the highlight for me was definitely the cleaning. They removed years of buildup and stains, and my teeth even look noticeably brighter. The touch was very gentle, and I felt no discomfort at all. Honestly, it was the best cleaning I've ever had -- I was really impressed.

He has done amazing work on my teeth, especially when it comes to any surgical procedures I've needed. Dr. Cho is by far one of the best dentists in Scripps Poway. Sara, Dr. Cho's dental hygienist, is incredibly sweet and very knowledgeable at what she does. From the front desk receptionist to the doctor himself, the entire team makes it a great place to go if you need a good dentist. I highly recommend Dr. Cho.

I really wanted to love this place. I was excited to finally find a local dentist through my…read moreinsurance, but the experience left a bad taste in my mouth--literally and figuratively. From the moment I sat down, it felt like the goal wasn't to help me, it was to upsell me. A dental hygienist came in and strongly pushed an extremely expensive deep cleaning treatment, claiming I had gum disease and bone loss--despite no other dentist ever telling me this before. The plan involved lasers and multiple stages of treatment totaling around $2,200--and that was with my two insurance policies on file. I came in to address an painful bump on my palate and potentially a failing crown, but it seemed like unless I paid heavily out of pocket, they couldn't or wouldn't move forward. I only allowed them to do imaging and the exam. The rest felt like a sales pitch. And that's not why I go to a dentist. The doctor I saw (Dr. Ekta) told me that a root canal I had done at another office was "botched" and needed to be redone--which is fine, that's her professional opinion. But when I asked if she could write a brief statement or letter so I could appeal the insurance claim, she refused. To me, that's a red flag. If you're confident enough in your diagnosis to tell me I need to redo a major dental procedure, you should be confident enough to put that in writing to support your patient. I had to use her chart notes, which were vague at best. The only positive part of my visit was the x-ray technician--she had a great personality and made me feel comfortable during that part of the process. Props to her. But overall, the practice feels profit-driven, not patient-focused. Between the aggressive upselling, the lack of support with my insurance, and the general vibe of "pay big or get nothing," I won't be returning. And if you're thinking of coming here--read the reviews first.

We started our service here over 10 years ago with our oldest son. His teeth turned out perfect. 2…read morephases and even got a discount on phase 2 since insurance maxed out on phase one. Fast forward to our youngest, competed phase 1 no real issues. We did have 2 different doctors but hey it happens. Same thing. Insurance maxed out on phase one but this time no discount on phase 2 but the person handling the claims told me the insurance would pay. Even though I told her it's already been maxed out. I was reassured that want the case and even if it was denied they would never charge me the $1500. We proceeded with the treatment under the impression we had the fee sorted out. In the meantime we weee back in office at least once a week in between appointments for broken bracket only to find out I had an outstanding balance and a fee change yup you guessed it. The $1500 the insurance didn't pay. Oh and we are now on our 3rd doctor a dozen fixed brackets $1500 increase in the cost of the braces I am pretty furious at this point and we decided to just stop using them. So I emailed since ortho is only once a week. This sucks because when brackets break you have to wait for the following week to get them fixed so I'm in my sones mouth the wire cutters to keep is cheeks from bleeding. And no they won't see you outside of office hours for ortho. Fast forward 2 weeks after I expressed my desire to close out for services rendered called and was told now I have to pay a other process fee for services on top of any balance due for work not covered under what I have already paid. On top of all this the were only willing to forgive 50% for the $1500 non payment. Be very weary of this place. Shady billing and people who just don't seem to really know what they are doing properly. Still 2 weeks again and I still haven't hear anything and they scheduled me for an appointment even after I expressed very adamantly we do not want their services any longer. Come to find out the spacers put on our son's lower jaw has skewed his teeth enough to need reverse correction. This makes me wonder if I should seek legal advice. Dr Dalton is such a nice person it's a shame his practice is being run into the ground. I am not one for bad reviews but protect your Children's teeth research your services and practice due diligence. It's worth the extra time and money to find a doctor committed to your children's oral health.

His whole life, we have had to have him under general anesthesia I'm rider to get any and all dental done: day, cleanings, fillings, etc.. because of his sensory issues and flight/fight fears. In the past year, McGrady has been the first and only dentist who has managed to do cleanings in her office, winning my son's trust with her patient, calm and non-condescending manner. Today, she managed to have two cavities filled, without general anesthesia, in her office --- and my son did wonderfully. They are true miracle workers and I'm forever grateful!!

She also spent extra time sending me info on different toothpastes & ingredients that I was worried about due to him having bad reactions to a popular ingredient. We will definitely be returning here for my son's next appointment in 6 months!
