I just had my first visit at this office and was overwhelmed. The office is beautiful, clean and welcoming. Danielle at the front desk was very kind and helpful. Naoko, the hygienist, was absolutely wonderful; so gentle and thorough, she totally made me feel so comfortable. My teeth felt so clean and shiny when she was done. I have been a patient at this dental office for many years and have always had positive experiences with the staff and hygienists. Unfortunately, since Dr. Raymond Wright took over my care, my experience has changed dramatically. My biggest concern is his lack of communication and bedside manner. During multiple visits regarding ongoing pain in a tooth, I felt dismissed, interrupted, and unheard. Rather than listening to my concerns and working collaboratively to identify the cause of the pain, I was repeatedly told, "There's nothing else I can do." At one point, he even blamed me for not bringing up a concern that I had, in fact, already tried to explain. The issue began after he replaced some resin on the side of a tooth to address sensitivity. The pain continued, and my bite felt noticeably off afterward. When I returned for a cleaning and to discuss the ongoing discomfort, he seemed uninterested in investigating the issue. He suggested the bite problem was caused by grinding or clenching, despite no history of those issues and no evidence of wear on my other teeth. He then stated that I would need additional imaging or a referral to a periodontist, only to once again conclude that there was nothing else he could do. What was most frustrating was the inconsistency. After repeatedly saying there were no options, he later suggested replacing a partial filling on the very tooth that was causing the problem. If that was a possible solution, why wasn't it part of the conversation from the beginning? Adding to my disappointment, my routine cleaning was performed by Dr. Wright rather than the hygienist and lasted only a few minutes. My teeth honestly did not feel cleaned, polished, or cared for in the way I have come to expect from this office over the years. The front office staff and hygienists have always been kind and professional, which makes this review difficult to write. However, after multiple appointments where I felt dismissed rather than cared for, I have decided to seek dental care elsewhere. My advice to prospective patients is simple: be prepared to strongly advocate for yourself. Ask questions, push for explanations, and make sure your concerns are fully heard. I had a wonderful experience with the front desk staff and the hygienist. However, when Dr. Wright came in, he did not greet me; he simply asked what I was there for and sounded very rude. I was experiencing pain from a wisdom tooth coming in, and he showed no sensitivity to my discomfort. He had no patience to listen or talk with me. He bluntly said that I have no other option and, if I wish, I just have to live with it as it is. I booked my appointment back in March for the same dental hygienist who did my teeth cleaning for two times since I first came to this clinic. When I came to my appointment today they told me they have different dental hygienist to work on me. I told them I made the appointment in person during my last visit with my dental hygienist but they gave me an excuse that they didn't have a note for this request. I was very upset and didn't feel it is a good practice. We stay with the same medical provider and they should let me know if there is any changes. Also the hygienist I saw last was not very friendly and used harsh words when I received directions - which was inappropriate and unnecessary. The hygienist directed me to see a periodontist because she's a diva! She only wanted to handle easy stuff. I am glad I found a new place and not feel I have to return to this dental office. My issue with them stems with their lack of transparency with communication and their terrible customer service. I am a very detailed person and ask every question to ensure I know what I'm getting into. I went in for a deep cleaning in May and was told that the deep cleaning was just to get me back on track so I could be on a normal cleaning schedule. I spoke with the hygienist specifically to schedule my routine cleanings that are fully covered by my insurance four times a year --I was very specific and clear on that. The hygienist worked with me to get the appointment booked and never told me anything about needing to be on some kind of maintenance program where my covered cleanings wouldn't be an option for me. They sent me several appointment reminders, but it wasn't until the day of my appointment that they sent me forms to sign that revealed the appointment was not what I scheduled three months ago, but rather another service at a higher cost to me. I called to see if they would rectify the appointment and give me the regular cleaning I booked but was told they would not. I found this odd because my brother had a deep cleaning with them and went right back on track to his covered cleanings afterwards with no issues. Almost immediately after submitting my review I received a phone call from a woman not from the office I go to, but a different location, who said she was calling about the review. Oddly, while simultaneously arguing with me, she was also confirming I should have received the forms with costs in advance, rather than just hours before the appointment. She was asking me questions yet interrupting me and audibly huffing and puffing on the phone the whole time. I reiterated that I booked my standard quarterly cleaning that is covered by my insurance (so free to me) and she condescendingly said, "Well, nothing in life is free". I think it's completely appalling for someone to call me about my review under the guise of customer service and then tell me nothing in life is free. She clearly didn't call to resolve any issues but rather to argue irrefutable facts. Based on the experience that I have had, I would never recommend this business to anyone. read more

The speed at which I was able to reach out and make an appointment had me feeling good about this process. I went in for an appointment, and though the building was a bit confusing, made it to my appointment on time. I loved the friendliness and organization of the front staff, and the care that the doctor took to explain the day's events (general annual check up). Since I like to double check esp. when there may be additional costs involved, I am glad that the doctor's office was up front that only simple cleaning was covered by the annual visit but what the doctor recommended would cost a bit out of pocket, in addition to some other items discussed directly with the doctor that would involve out of pocket costs. The front staff was kind enough to print me numbers so I could take time to review it, and did not seem pushy at all. I appreciated the care, and time that the Dr. (and the assistants!) took with me at my first visit. Really made me feel valued. Loved the helpfulness of the staff, and cleanliness of the place! I was looking for a new dentist as I had a few negative experience with my last one (they were late, pushed me to have treatments done etc) and decided to try out Radiant Smiles. I will definitely be going here from now on! They were on time for my appointment, explained everything they were doing and Dr. Redgate was very friendly, efficient and detail oriented. I had 2 chipped teeth I wanted to be fixed and they got me in for an appointment 3 days later to do it. They explained my dentals benefits and what would be covered and I didn't feel pressured or forced into it at all. These people just want your money. I get that they are a company that relies on patients money, but geez. I'm 40 minutes away and a friend referred me to them. I was willing to drive because I value a good dentist. Before my first appointment they told me on the phone my insurance covered them. I got there and they said it didn't. The receptionist told me she even looked it up and called the insurance company to make sure. They knew I wasn't covered and never told me. Then she asked if I still wanted a cleaning while i was there. Seriously? What a waste of gas and money. They probably do a great job if covered. read more

As a young adult who had taken a couple of years' haitus from the dentist, I was nervous to go to a new office. At my first visit, I was seen by the hygienist Lauren. She made me feel welcome, and made sure I was comfortable. I was nervous about being judged for not coming into the dentist in so long, but Lauren completely disavowed those fears! I was diagnosed with a couple of small cavities. When I returned for treatment by Dr. Redgate, I was again nervous as I never had cavities before. I'm also pregnant and have a very sensitive gag reflex - Dr. Redgate made special accommodations to help ensure that she was working around my gag trigger. Through every step of the procedure (including the painless numbing injections) she made sure to tell me what she was doing before and while she was doing it. She walked me through her process of placing the composite. Overall, a very positive experience. Kinzie at the front desk delivered friendly and compassionate customer service at both of my appointments. I will definitely be back in six months for another checkup! read more

Not to mention they changed my appointment earlier to "have more time" for my exam/procedure, then when I arrive the first thing they tell me is that they "won't be doing anything but a cleaning today", which they rushed through anyways... So why did I come in 3 hours early? This place used to be good, now its corporate business model and poor communication makes it feel like you're being conned from start to finish. I was just saying in another review that I would rather go to the dentist than go there. Well, here's the dentist. You're actually interacting more with da front desk and dental assistant/hygienist. You know you can't hide the fact that you're too lazy to floss. The scraping! Dear lawd!!! The staff are all really good people and are actually very efficient and effective at cleaning your pot hole. The dentist would be your punchline to the total dental visit experience. He or she would tell you mouth health verdict. All questions are answered and guidance on future treatment offered. So they are pretty good about educating you about oral health and hygiene. I have never liked the dentist. I have always had dentists that were harsh and made you feel badly about not flossing twice a day and even had dentists tell me to take things out of my diet like all sugars and carbs. As a young female athlete this was unhealthy advice. Never the less i had a pain in my tooth i needed taken care of and Dr Redgate made a great effort to fit me in at the last minute as a new patient. She is the best. She is very explanatory, clear, informative but also incredibly friendly. She gives you all the info you need while also not making you feel like you're a failure to your own teeth haha. The office is nice and it's in a very nice building with lots of available parking. I still don't like the dentist and idk if i ever will but I absolutely love Dr. Redgate and I will recommend her to everyone I know! read more

I had been see Dr. Lee for about 3 years, now he is gone but the new dentist is young but also very nice. My complaint is a receptionist. My orthodontist needed X-ray from past so I called radiant smiles to send copies to the orthodontics. I gave her the name of office / phone number the reasons etc her response was " I need their email address " but I didn't have one. I asked " could you call them ask their email?" She was " ok , fine will do". But hey, she didn't confirm who I was. Didn't ask my name, dob anything. Basically she didn't do her job. Later , I called the orthodontics office of cause, they didn't receive X-ray or contacted by radiant Smiles.So I asked them to call radiant Smiles ... I'm not going to return to this dentist again. It's bummer because those dentists are good and not trying to sell expensive treatments. read more

I've been seen by Dr. Lee and Dr. Ferrara before, and they were both really kind, gentle and pleasant. Dr. Ferrara doesn't work there anymore but I also got to see the new doctor who replaced him and I liked him too. One of the dental hygienists is also really nice (I forget her name. It could be Ana, but she's the young, Asian one) and I liked how I see her most of the time. At my last dentist place, I was treated by different dental hygienists each time and it sucked. My major issue with them is their strict cancellation/rescheduling policy. I had my appointment on a Saturday. When my daughter got sick and had to go to urgent care during the holiday, I called to reschedule, and they were not at all happy with me. Their policy is you must notify them 4 days in advance if your appointment is on a weekday or 5 DAYS for a weekend otherwise it would be a $45 fine for weekday or $75 for weekend! That is a little absurd! The receptionist/dental hygeniest had a bad attitude and gave me a hard time. Since I didn't know about this policy, she didn't fine me. When I went in for my rescheduled appointment, she made me sign a form acknowledging the policy so now, I'm going to get fined the next time it happens. I still think that is very unreasonable, especially when unforeseen things like this happen. I really like the doctors there, but I am debating whether to stay because I do not at all want to feel bad for rescheduling if I need to. read more

What a great experience with Dr Redgate! I was nervous to switch to a new dentist and normally have dental anxiety, but from the second I walked into this office I felt at ease and well taken care of. The front desk greeted me with a friendly smile, and the assistant Ashley was super sweet. I originally came in for a regular check up when Dr Redgate noticed some small cavities during the exam. I had mentioned my concerns to her about my teeth and wanting to do some whitening. I proceeded with the fillings and whitening treatment and now my teeth look amazing! I selected to go to Radiant smiles based on impeccable reviews I read on Yelp. They really have some stellar reviews. But oh boy was I extremely disappointed. Having read about Dr. Lee on Yelp, I scheduled a visit with Dr. Lee for regular checkup. Since he is so popular, my appointment was about a month out. I was ok to wait that long as I didnt have any pressing issue to be looked at and wanted the best Man to do the job. I had double checked with the scheduling person that I am getting Dr. Lee to do the checkup. Fast forward to the day of appointment, the wait was minimal. Some basic form to be filled and we were checked in. We were seen by Dr. Lee's incapable assistant (in training ?) working on her own. It took her multiple tries to get the X ray's done correctly. Also she was jumping back and forth between one other patient and consulting some other assistant or dr. Basically the ordeal took twice the amount of time it should have taken. Be careful with their bait and switch technique. We were not communicated that Dr. Lee wouldn't see us nor were offered any apologies. I did bring it up with the receptionist that we were supposed to see Dr. Lee but she said that Dr. Lee was busy and couldnt see us. Especially after having confirmed multiple times that we would like to be seen by Dr. Lee. I am not sure how this practice gets 5 star rating. I would highly recommend that you go to some other honest and ethical dentist. read more

I've been to see Dr. Ferrara twice now at Radiant Smiles 4s Ranch and have had nothing less than exceptional service. Dr. Ferrara replaced a crown that came out and cracked over the weekend. So far, so great! Came to Radiant Smiles for my cleaning/check-up yesterday and I was really impressed. The 4S health center is such a nice building, and the RS office was no less beautiful. They even had TVs in front of the chairs and on the ceiling! Kimi, the receptionist was very helpful and friendly when setting up my appointment. And Pamela, the RDH, did a great job on my cleaning. I have sensitive spots along my gums that she was very cautious not to aggravate, She also provided some tips on how to strengthen my enamel and alleviate some discomfort. So far, Dr. Lee made some recommendations for a broken filling and a cracked tooth. I thought he had great chair-side manner, and I am confident that he will do superior work at my coming appointments. read more

The super-caring, friendly staff and incredibly knowledgeable professionals make it the best dental practice around hands down. I stumbled upon Radiant Smiles one Friday afternoon when I had fractured a tooth on a piece of popcorn and was in incredible and increasing pain. My regular dentist told me he was unable to see me until Monday. I literally called every dentist on my insurance company's list--no one wanted to accommodate a new patient with an emergency on Friday afternoon--until I came upon Radiant Smiles. They sympathized with my desperation, squeezed me in, and were able to patch me up to survive the weekend without pain before undergoing the initial process for implant placement the following Monday. (Popcorn!) Amazing work, great people. Needless to say, I'm not going back to my old dentist, and neither is the rest of my family. These guys are awesome. read more
