By far the easiest an appointment has ever been. Kate was amazing cleaning my teeth. This did not feel at all like the dentist visits I remember. In addition to not liking the experience, I've hated dentists trying to sell me on things. The hygenist even commented dentists won't make much off me as my teeth (despite how long between visits) we very healthy. They did the cleaning and that was it. This is hands-down the best dentist I have ever seen. I recently had a negative experience with a dentist I had used for eight years and I came here for a second opinion. Not only was the doctor compassionate and generous with his time he suggested a very conservative approach and when it wasn't improving he sent me to a specialist to properly diagnosed my issue. I truly felt like I was losing my mind and was afraid he was going to think I was crazy but he did the opposite. He validated my concerns without letting me get ahead of myself. I honestly cannot say enough good things about this office. The front desk lady (sorry I didn't catch her name) is kind and compassionate and got back to me in a very timely manner. So disappointed!!! The front desk staff is very unprofessional. Found out the dentist place is not in my network until I got a statement in mail. For the first time, I had to pay so much for my cleaning appointment out of pocket while having my dental insurance. It is always completely free. The front desk staff should check and clarify a head of time. I even called to ask if they accept my insurance when scheduling an appointment. She collected my insurance info at that time. I also asked her at the end of my visit to ensure my insurance would cover everything but she didn't have an answer for that. I wasn't made aware of this. I will never go back to this place. Feel so bad for the doctor and the business for having such a bad and unprofessional staff like her. read more

I had 2 fillings done on my teeth. Dr Nguyen did an excellent job. He was gentle, and made me feel at ease, explaining each step he was going to do. Going to the dentist is stressful enough. I have extremely high standards for dentists and im not easily impressed. My dentist back in LA was sooo good that no dentist in San Diego ever matched up to them - UNTIL I found Dr. Nguyen at Peak Dental. I went to a few other dentists in SD and was always disappointed because they would upcharge for cleanings and Id really see the dentist only once a year even though I was there twice a year for cleanings. I just felt like another account number to bill. When I first visited Dr. Nguyen his examination was very comprehensive, thorough, and very up to date with all the current technologies for dentistry. He was also very kind and approachable. Dr Nguyen was the first dentist Ive been to in San Diego that actually took time to see me on the 6th month checkup also to make sure my teeth were okay. He even remembered small details about my last visit that I wouldn't expect any dentist to notice. This is a sign of a dentist who truly cares about the person as a patient and as a person. My front tooth chipped over the weekend. I found out my dentist was on vacation so I had no one to go to. I was referred to Peak dental and called them first thing on Monday morning. They booked me for the same day. I was so nervous as I haven't seen Dr Nguyen before. I have anxiety about going to the dentist. He was very kind and welcoming. He made it a point to explain my options and was able to fix my chipped tooth the same day. He fit me in around other patients. He did not have to do that, but I am sure he saw the desperate look in my eyes. I am so thankful. My tooth looks perfect. I almost cried when I saw the final outcome. I can't say enough good things about Peak Dental and the professionals here. I recently had an awful experience at another dental office and was terrified to go back. Peak Dental was suggested by a friend so I thought I would give it a shot. To start, the receptionist was so friendly. I was greeted with a warm smile and left with the same warm smile. Vanessa was also at the front and made sure to answer any questions I had knowing I had a rough dental experience recently. Secondly, I got in the seat and Dr Nguyen immediately came back and introduced himself and asked of my concerns and areas of focus. He was very tentative and listened to everything I had to say before doing anything. His dental hygienist (Eve) was so sweet in taking my X-rays and making sure I was comfortable. After analyzing the X-rays, the Dr did an exam and discussed what needed to improve on and what treatments I needed to have. The most important part was that I didn't feel like I was a failure or that my teeth would fall out. I do have some issues and the whole visit he coached and asked how I was doing and made sure to answer any questions I had before I left. He did have to work on my teeth and was very tentative about pain and ensuring I was doing okay. Overall, I would refer this dental office to everyone I know! read more

As a result, for the first time, I had to pay for a portion of my routine cleaning appointment out of pocket. Usually it is completely free. I think this should have been clarified ahead of time. I started seeing Dr. Brian Casciari in 1993 and was very disappointed when I heard he was retiring (somewhat) and handing over his practice. I am happy to say that I have found an outstanding and a caring dentist. From the friendliness and the courtesy of the receptionist to the quality of the treatment received, I couldn't say enough good things about this office. I had some esthetic work done on my upper front teeth by Dr. Nguyen (porcelain veneers to be specific) and I am extremely happy with the outcome. I would describe myself as somewhat of a perfectionist and a pretty picky person, but even I think my smile looks simply amazing. I've gotten numerous compliments even from perfect strangers, and that just feels amazing. Needless to say, I feel confident when I smile. Besides veneers and a cleaning, I also had a white filling done in one of my upper back teeth, haven't had any problems with that at all. So if you are looking for a dentist, I highly recommend this office. I truly believe a good dentist is not very easy to find these days. In summary, here's what I really appreciated at Peak Dental; - Friendly and courteous staff - Was able to schedule my appointments either before or after work, they have early and late hours which was very convenient - Nice, honest and knowledgeable dentist, explains well and doesn't mind answering questions - I didn't feel pressured to do any treatments. I had an appointment July 2018 with Dr Casciari but did not find out until I showed up for my appt that he retired month before in June. I would have appreciated the staff letting me know that before I actually arrived at my appt. Nonetheless I kept an open mind throughout my visit. Aside from the receptionist, Dr. Nguyen did not have a very good bedside manner and his assistants barely said 2 words to me...I did think the hygenist did a good job cleaning my teeth. Overall the office atmosphere was not as friendly and caring as the staff that was there previously with Dr C. Unfortunately I will not be going back. read more

Guys, I love this place! I've been seeing Dr. Casceri (sorry, probably spelled that wrong) for a few years now and have always had a great experience. He's extremely knowledgeable and explains things in a helpful way. It's so great finding a dentist I can trust.
