I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shah and his team. The level of care they provide is top notch! Dr. Shah is not one of those shady dentists who tries to upsell and profit off their patients. I completely trust him with my dental care. He lets me know what he sees as concerning and will be keeping an eye on and always answers any questions I have. Dr. Shah also does a great job of explaining what might need to be done in the future and what my insurance will cover so I can plan for it. Today I chipped my front tooth and was able to come in same day to have a filling put in. I left the office in happy tears because my front tooth looked so good and it was all done so quickly. The team at Sorrento Smiles is amazing. From scheduling, figuring out insurance, communication, and treating you like family. I am so happy I found them! Then, there were detailed descriptions of my teeth recorded along with measurements of my gumline. I have never had a dentist measure my gumline before. Or jot down these descriptions of my teeth. The cleaning by the hygienist was so thorough, I finally understood what after dentist clean meant. That feeling lasted for days afterwards. Another amazing staff member continually going out of his way to make my cleaning experience a positive one. This blew my mind because I have always been on top of my dental health. I waited over a year until I was able to upgrade my insurance and was ecstatic to find out that Dr. Reddy was covered under it. At a recent visit, she told me that I did not need any fillings nor a crown and was surprised that a dentist would recommend a crown for me. I appreciate her honesty and professionalism as she will never try to upsell you anything, She will give you all the options that will work within your budget. Her staff are also friendly and personable and I have never experienced any pain during any of my dental work here. I had gotten sick and forgot to cancel, so that was not related to anything the office did. They were ultimately just following up about my care, which I appreciated. What stood out to me is that they truly make time for you. It does not feel like one of those offices where they are juggling multiple patients at once and the dentist is working on 3 people at once. The cleaning was great as well, and although I forgot the tech's name, she was thorough and quite informed. I'm def going back for my cleanings with this tech. My care with Dr. Janice felt especially thoughtful and focused. She kept me informed every step of the way and clearly explained the risks and benefits of different treatment options. I really value that, because many dentists do not give the full picture unless they are trying to steer you in a certain direction. Here, the discussion felt balanced, transparent, and aligned with what I already understood about my dental history and what I had previously been told might happen. I was also impressed that she understood my situation before I even had to explain it fully. A lot of the time, I find myself filling in the background first before a provider adjusts their view. I can appreciate that ADA guidelines recommending x-rays every 2 years, but certainly you would think exceptions could be made (well not at this place). Why negative to receptionist? service date 2023, after one year,2024-03they may get the check to pay. But it is not my fault. They are not professional, but rude and arrogant. After service, one person gave a envelop, said the insurance will mail me a check, it is not for me, but for them. This is weird, but they did not explain why. Just gave me in hurry like in 10 seconds. (Later I asked Delta insurance, why issue check to me, they said because the dental is not participating partner.) When I receive the check two month later. OK. I did not cash it. I Email to receptionist, What me want to do with the check? Do I give to you, do I need endorse? How to do with the check? ----No reply, until two month later. But I cannot find the check, after two month. I am not waiting so long to get the reply. And they replied, just cash the check and issue my personal check to dental. Another email said, endorse the check and mail to dental. Ok I can do it in two month earlier, but now I have no check. Then I called the insurance couple times, the insurance request me to ask the the dental office to call. And dental office called, but still not get it. And The receptionist email"I try to help you, but it is your responsibility to call insurance". Then I phone called, if the insurance need both of us to call, can we call together, I can go to the office. Receptionist said they are busy, they cannot. And the tune is not nice! I try to solve it, but no cooperation from receptionist. At last I call again and again the insurance, and they agree to reissue check. This is after one year of the service. Who want to have such experience? If at first day, they said just cash the check, then it will be fine. Or not wait for so long to reply. I cancel all the later service. The doctor is really good and the price is very reasonable. Better service, but less than half of the price out of pocket than other dental office. It is a really a loss to lose the doctor. I came to this clinic because of mild biting discomfort caused by a small cracked tooth…read more Importantly, I did not have any cold or hot sensitivity in my daily life. Dr. Do performed a cold test. The response was stronger than a normal tooth, but the pain stopped quickly. He immediately recommended a full root canal treatment, saying the tooth was inflamed. When I asked for more details, he said the severity of my tooth was "somewhere in the middle" and that it would not heal on its own. He seemed rushed for me to make a decision. I chose to proceed with the root canal because he said the condition was irreversible. However, I later learned that a brief response to a cold test in a cracked tooth can still indicate that the nerve is healthy (often referred to as reversible pulpitis), and that many dentists would consider more conservative options first, such as placing a crown to stabilize the tooth or performing a more limited treatment instead of immediately doing a full root canal. Unfortunately, Dr. Do did not discuss any of these options. Because of the limited explanation and lack of discussion about conservative treatment options, the recommendation felt like unnecessary and aggressive treatment.
