Called to ask questions about an evaluation since my dentist referred this office. They will not use an xray that was done and would have to do them again so they can charge the customer. This would use more insurance money to do the same thing. Sounds like this business is only for profit and not the customer. read more

My initial experience left me frustrated, and I had given a negative review. However, after receiving a personal call from Dr. Lim, I've changed my perspective. His treatment itself was excellent, and I truly appreciate the care I received. Unfortunately, the billing process was disappointing. During my root canal removal, I was told by the staff that the consultation fee would be covered by my insurance. I paid the remaining amount--over a thousand dollars--and thought everything was settled. A few weeks later, I received a call from the office stating that I now owed the consultation fee, which was frustrating since I was previously told it would be covered. I was later informed that the issue stemmed from an incorrect billing code being submitted. Understandably, this left me feeling uneasy. What changed everything was a call I received today from Dr. Lim himself. He apologized sincerely for the confusion and explained that he is working to improve the system to avoid these kinds of issues in the future. His call showed me that he genuinely cares about his patients and their experience--not just medically, but holistically. Because of that conversation, I now feel confident recommending Dr. Lim. He is a skilled provider who takes responsibility and makes the effort to improve. That level of care matters. read more

EXCELLENT ENDODONTIST I cracked my filling/tooth. There wasn't any sensitivity until recently and it needed immediate attention. My dentist referred me to her specialist for consultation and possible root canal. Yikes. The procedure does not sound fun... drill hole, clean area, kill nerve, clean nerve out, fill empty nerve space. Then you hear about other people's horror stories of how much it hurt. Don't believe everything you hear. NO PAIN, JUST A NUMB FACE! Location is in MiraMar/MiraMesa and his office is very new with newer technology. Everything you sign is digital via ipad. I sat in the patience chair, xray on the tooth and nerve were taken (before + after), and the tooth was ready to be handled. My experience was painless! But I do have a high threshold for pain. Usually at dental appointments the most painful part of any procedure is the injection of local anesthesia; Dr. Lam was quick and graceful with the needles. I was injected several times (4x times before I stopped feeling anything) and none hurt. He engages in genuine conversation with his patients and it made me feel even more relaxed. After 10 minutes they begun working on the tooth. From the reflection of the light's cover I can see them go to work on the tooth. Very interesting. About 30 minutes in, I was done. He is a specialist for a reason! No pain, just a numb face. Highly recommend Scripps Mesa Endodontics. Until the next review... read more

I was referred by my Dentist to have my son seen for a root canal consultation just to err on the side of caution because of the way my son's tooth was presented on current X-rays. It was a fairly quick appointment. After going over the panoramic x-rays taken at this office, doing an assessment on the tooth, and giving me his expert opinion on the matter, Dr. Chittaphong concluded that my son did not need a root canal. He did mention that my son's tooth may not be "aesthetically pleasing" but in pathological terms, not necessary. I have to make an emphasized note that Dr. Chittaphong was very informative, professional, and made us both feel at ease. Both of his staff Briana and Cecile were really sweet. Even though an Endodontic procedure was not necessary, I'm happy that my Dentist referred us to him and see for myself, why he was highly recommended. I now have an Endodontist I can refer to friends and family if and when they need it. Highly recommend! read more

I would give 10 stars if I could! This by far has been the best dental experience. My regular cleanings were more uncomfortable than my visit with Dr. Chittaphong. He was so gentle and made me feel at ease from start to finish. I highly recommend him for any Endodontics needs. He explains everyone so clearly and my procedure took less than an hour! His team works so well together and his practice is so clean and welcoming. read more

I had a pretty bad tooth infection and had to call a couple places around my area to set up an appointment. Dr. Lam's clinic was the only one that was able to give me a slot the day after, so I decided to go to him. The examination was executed swiftly, after which the doctor carefully explained what was happening and the available options I had. He treated me with care and I felt no discomfort, would definitely recommend Dr. Lam to anyone who needs specialist treatment. Remember folks, don't postpone doctor visits ever read more

I feel happy and lucky that my decision was 100% right to go to Dr Lam Chittaphong for root canal treatment deferring my dentist's recommendation. He and his team made it the best visit ever to an Endodontist. Everything went well from phone appointment to treatment. When I went to see dentist after 5 days of root canal, he/she said that the job was well done. That made me really happy. Thank you Dr Chittaphong. read more

I decided to come here for root canal after my intensive search on Google and the awesome reviews and feedback from the patients, long story short I was glad I came here, Mr. Lam done awesome work on my root canal even though my tooth had very deep cavity and I thought its almost impossible to save that tooth but he done it, when I checked out we both had couple of minutes to share few wonderful things about our back round, it was awesome experience. Dr. Lam and staff are absolutely wonderful! They all made me feel so comfortable and welcome. I had a pretty tricky tooth that needed a root canal, and It was done under 45 minutes with NO PAIN! Dr. Lam did X-rays before and after and explained everything thoroughly. I was comforted throughout my root canal and the sweet dental hygienist kept making sure I was doing okay. I am so grateful my dentist referred me! read more

Had to see him again today because I was told that a root canal might be needed. Dr. C took the time to carefully diagnosis it and we found out that I just needed a filling. Made sense since I didn't have any pain, but I could see why a general dentist may have wanted to err on the side of caution. And it also makes sense why you should see a dentist that specializes in root canals... for root canals. Awesome job again by Dr. C and staff. Thank you! read more

He is amazing!! He truly cares for his patients and treats us like family. After going to a previous endodontist that suggested I have my tooth be extracted or find a superhero, I found my root canal super hero! The root canal I had done when I was 13 (15 years ago) apparently had failed and got infected. He was able to retreat it and found 3 canals that he removed. I felt no pain! Not even the numbing process. Now we wait 6 months to see if it heals properly (I had bone destruction) to see if he can crown it according to how my body will heal. Regardless, he is determined to save what is natural instead of resorting to extraction. Thank you Doctor Chittaphong! read more

I visited Dr. Lam last Thursday to have an older root canal re done.. I was referred by Dr. Amber Chu in Houston, Tx and I've read all the incredible reviews about him.. My visit was amazing.. He is very proffessional and gentle.. I was terrified because of my previous terrible root canal experience with another dentist, but with Dr. Lam it was a totally different experience.. There was NO PAIN to a point I couldn't believe it.. He was assuring that I'm okay all the time and being proactive in telling me when I feel pressure or vibration .. The assistant was super nice as well. Couldn't be happier to meet Dr. Lam and his amazing staff! read more

Dr Lam Chittaphong is exceptional. He was able to fit me in for an emergency root canal and did a great job. He explained the whole process to me and completed the procedure in record time, with exceptional quality. His support staff is also very kind and considerate as well. Yes, I required two of them, and he was great getting ride of the old silver Army fillings. read more

Dr. Lam Chittaphong is the best endodontic is town hands down! First off I would like to say that I don't write reviews but, I had to write one for this dentist. I'm a person who hates the dentist I rather have major surgery then go to the dentist. Dr. Chittaphong And staff were very nice and very professional made me feel as comfortable as possible I really appreciate the professionalism and the comfort level that they gave me to insure me I would be OK. read more

I was referred to Scripps Mesa Endodontics by my dentist for a root canal retreatment - something that no one ever really wants to have to deal with. Dr. Chittaphong and his team offered a wonderful experience thanks to their flexibility with scheduling, their commitment to answering my nearly endless questions, & even with the overall retreatment experience. The retreatment itself took much less time than I expected & was relatively painless. Additionally, Dr. Chittaphong was very vocal in what he was doing in order to put my nerves at ease. I highly recommend Scripps Mesa Endodontics thanks to how well they treat their patients & the overall quality of my experience! read more

Dr Chittaphong is phenomenal! I saw him for a redo of a root canal I had 11 years ago that has recently become infected. I was terrified. Literally shaking in chair. I didn't feel a single thing. Not one! Even the shots which are the usually the most painful part didn't hurt! He reassured me the entire procedure on how things were going. He was even knowledgeable about Tourette's syndrome (something I have) and understood why I couldn't use a mouth guard because of it. This is the day after the procedure and I haven't had to take the Tylenol 3 once. I just have minor soreness. He is fantastic! If you need a root canal, you gotta go to him!!!! read more

I am terrified of going to the dentist, I mean I had to be knocked out when I had my wisdoms pulled out. Imagine how I felt when I was told I had to get a root canal . Anyways, my general dentist sent me to a different place that wasn't covered by my insurance. So I looked around and of course yelped for one. And Dr. Chittaphong had amazing reviews. So I scheduled a consult for the following day and had the procedure as well. He and his staff were great. From taking care of my insurance, payments to procedure everything went smoothly. As all the reviews stated, he talked me through every step that he was doing and always checked if I was ok. I had no pain during the procedure and after. Didn't even feel the shot when he numbed me up. If you have a fear of dentists rest assured that you will be in good hands here. read more

My wife had her first root canal. She was nervous. She was worried. Then Dr. Lam & his team took over! Professional. Informative. Gentlest hands we've ever seen in a dentist. How do you know when a dentist is good? When a patient sleeps (and snores!!) during a root canal, and walks away smiling!! That would be my wife. Best dental experience we've ever had!. read more

This guy is good. True professional. If you need a root canal go to him. That's all he does.

Let's be real: no one WANTS to have a root canal...but I can almost say it was a pleasure having Dr Chittaphong attend to mine and his office manager and dental assistant were lovely to me too. The website was beautiful and I did all my paperwork online ahead of time. The office is modern and easy to find with plenty of parking (and refreshments!!) I can't promise you the same, but I've had NO PAIN and would absolutely return if, heaven forbid, I ever need more root canals. read more

Great Staff! I was a guinea pig for a new staff member- and still everything was done professionally. Dr Chittaphong is very knowledgeable, patient and friendly - guided me through everything. Told me when to expect 'what' during the whole procedure- and very attentive at your pain levels and body cues. Very Clean and well put together office... which told me that these guys look like they know what they are doing - and the procedure confirmed it. Appointment was easy to make, and even though I was late, they took me in and took care of me! Gave me a prescription and emailed me instructions on post-root canal care. Reviewed all my insurance information and confirmed all the details before doing anything. If I had to go back to get another one done, definitely would be with this doc. Only thing was that he left me hanging on the post procedure fist bump... but I guess a firm handshake will have to do. 5 stars. read more

Dr Lam Chittaphong and his staff were very professional, friendly, and concerned. The team took extra steps to help me be confident we were focused on the right job, in the right way, with the right tools. Getting a root-canal done (this was my first) is obviously never going to be fun. But Dr Lam made it fast, understandable, and easy. Furthermore, his offices are very new; he has the best equipment, the most comfortable chairs, the most distracting (needed) television possible. But the thing that makes me want to give five stars is the hand shake, the professionalism, and the kindness of Dr Lam and his staff. I highly recommend Scripps Mesa Endodontics, if you are unlucky enough to need a root canal. read more

I was referred here by my dentist, so naturally I google him. Good reviews, so I make my appointment. His staff was very nice and got me right in. The office is very modern, which will matter to some. I see the good Doc, he breaks the news.. Root canal it is. He had time that day, so we went for it. I mean as far as root canals go, it wasn't awful. He took his time in explaining the procedure to me, and emailed after care instructions. I got to watch Nexflix as I was getting my dental work done. Always a perk. I would highly recommend him as an endodontist. read more

Had my wisdom tooth root canal done yesterday at 2:30 PM by Dr. Lam Chittaphong, it took about an hour, I am painless afterward, I didn't need any pain medication even gone to the golf range at Hodges in the evening. Let me start out by saying that I know that I'm the WORST dental patient ever. I can't help it. I'd rather break my arm than have the sound of that drill in my mouth.. I have to say that Dr. Lam was amazing. First, he was very patient and had a very calm demeanor, despite my level of anxiety.. More importantly, he was really excellent at performing my root canal. He explained everything up front, and then explained what he was doing as he performed the work, and also explained what I was going to feel/hear. Honestly, I am not sure what the anxiety was about. As far as root canals go, if I had to have another one, I'd definitely go back to Dr. Lam. His office was impeccably clean and his staff was knowledgeable and friendly. read more

Found this office via Yelp. I would highly recommend if you need a root canal. You get a great explanation of what the procedure is and then you turn on the tv as it begins. It was painless and I was in and out of there in less than 1.5 hours. Later, my general dentist applied a crown and said that the root canal looked great. read more

Seriously - Dr. Chittaphong is amazing. I went to his office because I needed a root canal and I had few done before in my life, that was the best experience I have ever had. I went there and was all stressed and panicked because I do not deal good with pain or when anything is done with my teeth. I read all the great reviews and I was thinking, well they didn't feel pain, but I am so sensitive I won't believe until I actually see it happening. It was TOTALLY painless. Not only the whole root canal, but the local anesthesia that would always hurt me while injected I did not feel ANY pain. I am from country where the whole root canal cost about 12 times less, but I feel like if I ever needed it again (hopefully not) I'd still pick Dr. Chittaphong instead of doing it back there. My boyfriend texted me after all asking how I feel and how did that go and I replied- AMAZING! Haha. He was like ... well that is odd answer Thank You Dr. Chittaphong! read more

I am beyond happy to get treated by Doctor Lam. I've had plenty of bad experiences with other dentisits (had 2 root canals a few years ago) and because of that I am afraid of getting a root canal done again. I waited over 3 months to do the appointment but I couldn't wait any longer. The pain was getting worse and I had to take lots of pain killers. I was referrend to Dr. Lam by my dentist and all her staff raved about this place. Now I know why.... I had a pain-free experience. I was very nervous and scared, but by the end of it I was almost falling asleep. The doctor is not just extemily professional, but he is VERy kind. He kept talking with me to calm me down. Not all professionals care much of how you really fell. This was by far one of the very best experiences I've had getting my teeth treaded. Thank you guys sooo much for taking the best care of me. If I new it was going to be this easy, I wouldn't have waited so long to get this done! read more

I chose Dr. Chittaphong because of his great reviews. I definitely didn't want pain with the root canal and the reviews promised just that. I am a big chicken with dentists in general and had always heard horrible things about root canals. Like "I'd rather be tied to a stake and burned alive than have a root canal."-- that kind of thing. Dr. Chittaphong is kind, well informed and supremely skillful. I did not feel any of the multiple numbing shots. The work he did in cleaning out the canals did not hurt. Although one canal was a bit complex, I was only in the chair for an hour and a half. read more
