Need a root canal?! I know I was so scared. I was referred to Dr Allen Wei. He is excellent. In every way. No pain injections. Superior root canal filling (whatever you call it). Beautiful! read more

Allen Wei is truly a great endodontist! Everything about this experience was first class. I would know, I'm a dentist myself.

I was pleased with the root canal and x-ray services I received from Dr. Wei. My tooth canal had an unusual formation however Dr. Wei was able to work with that successfully. The deduction of two stars had to do with the charges. The front office staff had told me verbally when the x ray appointment concluded that the charge for the root canal would be $900. My second appointment was for the root canal and when that finished, I paid $900 in cash. I subsequently received a bill in the mail with the charge of $952 subtracting the $900 leaving the balance of $52. I called and spoke with Sheila, the person I had always dealt with. She did not agree that she had told me the charge would be $900. As I am quite sure that she did say $900, I would suggest getting everything in writing to avoid spurious charges before you obtain services there. read more

My primary dentist referred me to Dr. Wei. I've had several previous root canals but this was my first in this area. The practice is located on Lake Murray Blvd on the left side as viewed from the I-8 side, very near the freeway. I could not possibly be more pleased. I remarked to him that he and his chair assistant seemed to be a precision team. It turns out she is his wife. He remarked that endontics was all he does and he loves it, looks forward to it every day. read more

i went to see Dr. Wei a week ago. He was very patient and help me analyze my bad teeth and alert me the wisdom teeth. i was impressed about the great customer service. The price is fair if you have insurance. I have the vital discount card and save about 10% off. I attached the price of estimate cost. read more

I had so much anxiety because the first dentist ( Bright Now Dental Rancho San Diego) did a half-ass job and left out part of the canal which got infected. This doctor is Review worthy for sure, I had a root canal redone by Dr Wei. This visit went so smooth, was done quickly and painless. He made sure the canals were completely filled and took an xray right after to show me the tooth Y canals were completely filled in. I am now on antibiotics and recovering. He was proffesional and the staff were friendly, I would definitely recommend him to anyone that needs this service. Thank you Dr Wei! read more

I cannot say enough about Dr.Wei and his amazing team. His practice is very welcoming with peaceful environment. To all of you with dental anxiety...fear not! Dr. Wei has a good hand, I did not feel the injection for anesthetic one bit! And it was a front tooth, one the most sensitive areas to get pricked and prodded. Dr. Wei and team, you guys truly rock! Thanks for gracefully taking care of my problem tooth read more

This year I went to Dr. Wei for the second time in a couple years. To begin with his office person, Sheila (my apologies for any misspelling!), is great, very helpful and knowledgable. I find the waiting area as well as the exam rooms to be very relaxing and soothing. Dr. Wei really knows his "craft" because both times I found him to be gentle, concerned, willing to include the patient in the decision process and explains things well so you can understand what he will be doing. When I had what I thought might be an "issue" this time after the procedure, they got me right in. He listened well to my concerns, was very thorough in checking things over, was so patient and eased my mind. Needless to say he was correct and all is fine! He was so helpful through the whole process both times. I would recommend him to anyone needing a root canal. read more

I highly recommend Dr. Wei! He is honest, professional, kind bedside manner, and humorous! I have a few sensitive teeth that I wanted to get checked out before getting braces. Dr. Wei took x-rays, examined my teeth and determined that no treatment is necessary and that he did not see anything wrong with the x-rays. He explained my case is "hyper-sensitivity" and recommended to give it time, especially after I had a gum-graft performed, and come see him within a year if the issue continues to persist. I appreciated his honesty. He could have been one of those "salesman endodontist" and recommended treatment so he could make $$$. However, that is not the type of doctor he is. He truly gives his best advice and recommendation to his patients. Thank you Dr. Wei! read more

The best in the business. Dr. Wei is a master at his craft. I can tell he's done tens of thousands of root canals. Was in and out in less than an hour. I'll never go to anyone else for a root canal again! read more

Dr. Wei is a gem! In today's world of commercialized medicine, true personal attention and genuine care for a patient's well-being are becoming a rarity. But Dr. Wei is a fortunate exception. Not only is he a talented and experienced doctor, but he truly does all in his power to help his patients. I am profoundly grateful for his care and for figuring out a course of treatment that made sense in light of my medical condition and personal circumstances. Thank you! Irina Dorfman read more

Helped me with a root canal and said it was the hardest procedure he had ever done. But, he was able to save my tooth (half of it). I guess everyone is different and not everyone can have their tooth saved is what I was told. But, he did it with alot of patience and care. I am grateful to know of a good root canal specialist that was able to help me. That is all he does is root canals full time all day. He has many years of experience as well. He will get booked, so call ahead of time. read more

I was referred to Dr. Wei through my primary dentist and I was pleasantly surprised! He explained everything in detail to me before he started the process and made sure I understood before doing anything to my mouth. I have had root canals done in the past and they were extremely painful, however with Dr. Wei it was probably the least painful dental procedure I have ever had. Highly recommend! read more

My mom needed a root canal treatment. Even though she has medicare, but we don't want to get lausy job for her teeth. I looked up on yelp and found Dr. Wei. The price is reasonable, staff are nice too. read more

Today was the fourth time I've been to Dr. Wei for a root canal. He is just awesome. I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is always checking to make sure I'm okay and not in any pain. He explains everything thoroughly and makes root canal nearly painless - just that first poke, which he minimizes more than any other dentist I've been to. I'd rather get a root canal than a regular filling as long as Dr. Wei is the one doing it! read more

Dr. Wei is amazing. Miracle worker of root canals. This is my second root canal with Dr Wei. No pain during procedure. Just minor soreness after, which is normal. I'm extremely sensitive to pain. He is fast and checks with you during entire procedure to see if you are okay. His staff is really nice and Dr Wei has fun origami hanging around room. My first root canal was four years ago and I was referred by my dentist. This time I requested referral to Dr. Wei. He has my vote of confidence and knowledge and just the nicest Dr. Thank you Dr. Wei, your assistant and Karen in front office. My root canal was done on 6/8/2020 for review purposes. read more

I had a super nasty tooth that needed a root canal so my dentist recommended Dr. Wei. Hes a super cool young guy who gets the job done. I had no pain whatsoever whenever he did work. I had to go back multiple times just because my tooth was so jacked up. The only pain I felt was in my wallet. Root canals are expensive as a mofo! You better have health insurance or else you are screwed......anyways.....Dr Wei really does his job well. He is quick and proficient and gives you alot of novocaine to ease the pain. Highly recommended if you need a root canal! read more

Dr. Wei is a MASTER of the root canal - and I honestly don't feel that statement even does him justice! Ever since I can remember I've had horrific anxiety about the dentist. Needless to say when my dentist sent me for my first root canal I thought I would die! His office staff was so pleasant, calming and reassuring! I literally need to be semi-sedated for cleanings sometimes so it can be bad. Well not with Dr. Wei!! He was AMAZING! I didn't even feel the anesthetic being administered, absolutely NO PAIN whatsoever from my procedure! He was even done within 45 minutes and mine was pretty complex with extra calcification, a lower than normal root top and a root that decided to split three different ways at the bottom with the abscess also. He even made sure to keep checking on me to see how I was doing during the procedure as time went on. I actually was able to relax enough to even dose off! I cannot say enough good things about him, especially for those like me who are just terrified when you have to have anything done. You absolutely should go to him and trust him with your root canal needs!! He is a true artist of his craft and it shows!! I can't say enough good things about him! He is also a really cool, nice and humble man! read more

I never expected his office to be so chill. Dr. Wei did an excellent job at educating me on how the process was going to be, what to expect and make sure that I was comfortable with the procedure. I was in horrible pain from getting my amalgam fillings out and turning them into composite fillings. I was recommended to see an endodontist because my roots were "C-shaped" ... Sounded really complicated but I trusted the man to not hurt me. Had an early appointment and the procedure lasted about an hour or so. (ONE TOOTH, back molar) ... He numbed me up pretty good and to be honest it was painless. It almost felt as if he was taking food out between my teeth. I would most def come back to Dr. Wei's office if I ever need a root canal done again. read more

I had my root canal done earlier today by Dr. Wei. I had such a great experience, it compelled me to write this review. I had a filling that was too close to the nerve and irritating it. I was in so much discomfort and pain for over a week. I saw Dr. Wei on Tuesday, and the root canal was performed on Thursday the same week. He is very pleasant and funny. I really appreciate how he constantly made sure I was comfortable and pain free through-out the procedure. It was really fast too! Getting my filling took longer than getting a root canal. The whole procedure took about 40 mins - from the time I sat in the chair to the time I got up. I didn't feel the shot to numb the area either. He does a great job of distracting you from the injection. I would recommend Dr. Wei. He knows his stuff and he does a great job! Thank you Dr. Wei for taking away the pain! :o) read more

I was really nervous to get a root canal, as it was my first one. Dr Wei made this such a pleasant experience and he did it very quickly! 36 minutes total to do the procedure. He was very friendly and funny, really helped me relax and not be so nervous. He does an excellent job checking your comfort level and numbing you up for a pain free experience. He also explained exactly what he was going to do and everything before he began. Just so I had an idea of what was happening. Amazing at what he does, I would recommend him to anyone needing a root canal. He is an expert. read more

I actually had to get two root canals over the past few years, and both times were with Dr. Wei. I am completely scared of any procedures, and have heard so many scary stories about root canals, but Dr. Wei makes sure that you are comfortable, and he is very quick and thorough. If you are feeling nervous, he will explain everything, and will talk to you throughout the procedure, so you feel at ease. Both times were really quick, and I was out of there without ever feeling nervous. I also did not feel any pain at all during the procedure. The second root canal was actually complicated because my tooth was cracked, and it was badly decayed. (I know, I need to go to the dentist more regularly.) He cleaned everything up thoroughly and quickly, and even my regular dentist was impressed. He only specializes in root canals, and I just wish he did other things like wisdom extraction, because I would definitely go to him for any other oral surgery needs. :) read more

Dr. Wei is a great endodontist. He is very low key as in helps you to relax through the procedure and continually asks if you are doing fine or feeling any discomfort. He got me in quickly for an emergency and completed the first part of the root canal quickly as well. I will have to go back to finish up - but he really knows his stuff and does an excellent job. read more

I got a root canal from Dr. Wei about 5 years ago, and just recently I learned that I needed 2 more. I immediately looked up Dr. Wei's information again since I was so pleased and satisfied from my first visit years ago. I used to be really anxious about getting a root canal done, but the process was completely painless and relatively quick. It is obvious that he cares about the treatment of his patients, as shown by his care during the procedure. He consistently asks if everything is okay throughout the treatment, which I find very reassuring. The staff there is amazing and they are always so nice and helpful. I highly recommend Dr. Wei's office, and I am glad I was referred to him years ago. read more

Best endodontist hands! Dr. Wei is so gentle and nice, and always runs on time unlike most other medical professionals. I've unfortunately had a few root canals and the first time I was referred to a different endodontist who had hands the size of a grizzly bear and was so rough. The past couple times I went to Dr. Wei, who my mother referred me to. The root canals were virtually painless and quick! read more

Most of us dread visiting the dentist, especially when its an emergency root canal just before a three week trip to Canada. My regular dentist sent me to Dr. Wei and he was able to take care of me the same day. He was quick, efficient and there was no pain. Would highly recommend Dr. Wei should the need arise. read more

Dr. Wei is the BEST! He accepts the most difficult challenges and will do everything possible to save your tooth. I had several teeth that deteriorated over the years that other dentists said had to be pulled. Dr. Wei saved everyone of them and they now look great. He is concerned about you the whole time and makes every effort to see that you experience NO Discomfort. I have had multiple teeth worked on over the past several years and every time it was a pain free experience. A teeth cleaning at my regular dentist is more painful then a root canal with Dr, Wei. He is efficient and gets you in and out yet will take the time to work longer if that is what is required. He does not rush you out because another patient is coming in. I will recommend him to everyone I know! He is the absolute BEST Endodontist in the WORLD!! read more

This was the most relaxing and comfortable dentist visit I have ever had. I almost wish I had more root canals to get done.

Dr. Wei knows his business! He gets the root canal done right the first time. Highly recommended.
