You will not find a better Endodontist anywhere in the State maybe let alone in the USA. I have been here maybe 4 times and I can't say enough how great he is. I would give 10 Stars if I could. He will fix other dentists poor work and if anyone does not like root canals because of the fear of pain, he does such a great job that I have never ever felt pain and I am a big baby when it comes to dentist. read more

Had a root canal done here & not a single ounce of pain. 1st trip required drilling/draining & second trip was the root canal. 20 minutes each visit. I was nervous on my way there, but then read his Yelp reviews in the lobby & that definitely eased my mind. Dr. Wei is the best endodontist in the game. Explains everything & constantly checks on you. The procedure is painless which a lot of people told me different. Definitely refer friends/family that need root canals to Dr. Wei. His assistant & secretary were very friendly as well. Awesome Dr. and establishment. read more

Dr. Wei is amazing and super fast. No pain no hassles just in and out and done and isn't that what we want in a root canal doctor? Get in get out and be done without pain. Go here...don't worry. you will be glad you did. read more

My bottom R molar tooth roots/nerves X-ray looked like a jellyfish! And it needed a root canal and was complicated by calcification - tooth from Hell. Another endodontist started root canal, and, after barely starting, quit and said it was impossible to save. I searched for the "expert's expert" and learned Dr. Wei graduated from Univ. of San Fran School of Dentistry and then went on to Tufts and he's been practicing for 27 years. This miracle worker saved my tooth; I think he's the only one in the city who could have, and I am soooooo grateful. Thank you again Dr. Wei. read more

I have to agree with the other 5 star reviews. I went there to have a poorly done root canal redone. He fixed what was wrong and took care of the infection that may have been there the last 15 years. I was glad to know he was a perfectionist. read more

He was great, but his office staff did not inform me that my insurance had been fully used for my daughter until after the fact, thus costing me a huge bill. read more

Dr. Wei is really, really good. As the other reviewers, I felt absolutely NO pain during my root canal. Highly recommend Dr. Wei!!

Wish I could give this experience more than a FIVE. Absolutely an easy, efficient, pain-free root canal experience!! Doctor Wei and assistant Caroline are so reassuring, thoughtful and professional. Regularly explained things and checked with me as to how I was doing -- I was comfortable and marveling! Thank goodness for this excellence in the art and craft of dentistry. Both the office and the receptionist are also lovely and calming. Am relieved and SMILING today. read more

I have really bad anxiety about going to dentists especially for invasive procedures like root canals etc..This was unreal!! 45 minute painless root canal out the door..And they were very friendly and cared about my concerns... read more

I think in general it is hard to really rate a dentist or endodontist if you don't truly have problems with your teeth, so I find many online reviews to be unreliable. I have trusted Yelp too many times trying to find a good dentist...bad plan. I am not referring to a couple cavities or one root canal...I'm talking a mouth full of root canals, crowns and knowing more problems arise at every dental visit. That is my story...never had braces, have perfect appearing teeth, but they are AWFUL and cost me a bloody fortune. I have had my fair share of awful dentists and even worse, awful endodontists that gave me horrifically painful root canals because they couldn't manage my pain (it takes quite a bit to get me numb) and took FOREVER to complete a root canal. I have very spider-webbish roots and have found that not many endodontists cannot do a proper root canal for me. Then I met Dr. Wei. He is like a miracle man. He acknowledged that my roots are wild and complex but he works quickly, causes me zero pain and I have never had to return due to still having pain or sensitivity. Recently, my youngest daughter had spinal surgery and I spent the first night in the hospital with the worst tooth ache ever, I literally cried. My dentist called Dr. Wei and got me in the same day I called. He was booked solid but agreed to remove the nerve from my tooth so I could function and be there for my daughter. I went into his office a total mess and walked out happy as could be. He is seriously the best. He is so kind and gentle too, constantly asking if you are ok or having any pain. His staff is equally caring as well. I have been to him 3 times and I know will spend much more time in his office in the future. I can tell you now that if I ever moved away for some reason, I swear I would travel back to San Diego to see him if I needed another root canal. To top it off, he plays 80's music in the office and sings along while he works...totally my style. Thanks Dr. Wei, for making a miserable experience, a little less miserable. read more

Look at me, here I am 2 years later. NOW I have to have work done on two molars on the other side of my mouth! But instead of being anxious and irritated I am peaceful and looking forward to getting these two teeth fixed! I will keep you posted, but I am sure there will be smooth sailing. read more

I just left Dr. Wei's office as I write this review.. I've seen him over the last 3 years via referral from Dentist. Dr. Wei is the only specialist I will ever let work on my teeth when it comes to root canals, etc.. todays visit was an emergency and he was able to see me asap.. long story short, I had an infected root.. The pain is gone, he was very gentle and I am happy to say I feel 1000 times better. THANK U! read more

I usually do not do reviews but I really wanted to do this review. I gotta say root canals arnt that bad when you have Dr. Wei working on it. My root canal was nearly painless. Little discomfort but Dr. Wei makes sure your ok throughout the entire procedure. Root canal took approximately 40mins from start to finish. I am very impressed by the nearly painless service I recieved. Very friendly and cool guy. 5 stars! read more

My dentist, who I value and respect, referred me to Dr. Wei. Master of the root canal is a simple way of describing who he is and what he can do. Unfortunately, I had two previous root canals so I knew what to expect....a lot of pain, being uncomfortable, and sitting in that chair for hours. I spent more time filling out that 4 page form than Dr. Wei spent taking an x ray, explaining everything I needed and he began working. I was in the chair for about thirty minutes and about 5 was me telling him stories. Oh and did I mention that I didn't feel any pain. By no pain, I didn't even notice that he had a needle in his hand and I didn't even feel it go in my skin. I would strongly recommend him to anyone who values a virtually painless, quick, and fully functional root canal. read more

I am so surprise to receive a apology letter and $50 refund from Dr Wei today! Thank you so much!

It's been 5 years since my root canal and there have been zero problems. Highly recommend Dr. Allen!

I really like Dr. Wei. He made sure I wasn't in any pain. His music soothed me. He has a bright personality. Good person.

I lost a filling and had to have a second root canal. I went back to Dr. Wei and the experience was just as positive as the first one. All I ever hear are horror stories about other people's root canals, but I can't jump on that bandwagon. I even had a cold and he was totally amazing. His receptionist is also incredible, friendly people, expert work. What more could a person ask for? read more

As far as having to have a root canal goes... They are NEVER fun that's for sure. But I must say, that Dr. Wei was FANTASTIC. Very friendly, kind and gentle. Never felt the needle go in from the very beginning. But the whole time through out the procedure "are you ok., are you ok", made me feel comfortable. It was all over before I knew it. Great job, felt comfortable and friendly staff. Thanks again Dr. Wei. :) read more

unfortunately I have had 3 root canals. 1 about 15 years ago that was screwed up. Dr. Wei fixed that one and also did my other 2. I am VERY FEARFUL of dentists as most of us are and this guy is AWESOME........I can't say it was painless as I am a wimp and the root canal that was 15 years old and screwed up required a LOT of work, however Dr. Weis is QUICK and for the most part painless. I lvoe how quick he is though. Quick and thorough. If you have to have a root canal GO TO DR WEI!!! read more

I had heard horrible things about having a root canal so I was pretty freaked out when I went for one from Dr. Wei. I usually use nitrous oxide when I have anything more than a cleaning done so I was scared because his receptionist told me they didn't use it. It was too late to change the appt. so I went in spite of that. I had a fantastic experience. I didn't even feel the injection meant to numb my tooth. Dr. Wei is kind of a surfer dude with a great sense of humor. He is quick, gentle, and very concerned to make sure that you are okay during the procedure. I am recommending him to everybody I know. BTW, when I went back to my regular dentist to have the crown made, his assistant started to hook up the nitrous like usual and I said, "No, that's okay. I'll try it without nitrous today" just because of my good experience with Dr. Wei. Guess what? I was fine. So I am saving a bunch of money because in the future I know I can have serious dental work done without nitrous and without pain. Hurrah for Dr. Wei! read more

This was my second visit to see Dr. Wei. Each time, he greeted me with a smile and was always very friendly and professional. He made me feel very comfortable and relaxed as he explained the procedures needing to be done. Nobody likes to get a root canal, but he made my experience pain free and did an excellent job. He was always making me feel comfortable during the procedure, asking if I was ok and making sure I wasn't feeling any pain. He is an excellent Endodontist and I highly recommend him. read more

I have severe anxiety so needless to say I was panicking the entire way to his office. Got there and had a little panic attack as soon as I sat in the chair. But he really lives up to his amazing reviews. He reassured me and made sure I was comfortable the whole way through. I didn't even feel him stick the needle in for the Novacane and usually that's the worst part! He constantly asked if I was okay and talked me through the whole way. I don't think I've ever felt so safe and comfortable at the dentist before. I would totally recommend him to any of my friends and family, and I would totally come back to him again (in fact I am for continuing treatment). Plus he's affordable too! Five starts all around! read more
