My positive experience started before I even walked through the door. Jackie at the front desk was…read moreprofessional, polite, and incredibly accommodating. She understood the urgency of my situation and did everything she could to get me scheduled same day, while still working around my schedule. Her compassion and responsiveness immediately made me feel like I called the right place. Upon arriving, I can see from the amount of other patients in the operatories that the doctor was busy yet I felt that her staff were thorough and attentive. While getting X-rays, I could hear laughter and genuine rapport between the doctor, her staff, and patients coming from down the hallway. It immediately created a warm, family-oriented atmosphere that put me more at ease. Dr. Sarshar has many gifts, but what stood out most was her sincere desire to understand my concerns--not just clinically, but financially and emotionally as well. I had a traumatic experience with and endodontist as a child and she quickly recognized the distress I was experiencing from needing and responded with genuine empathy and understanding. Rather than simply focusing on the procedure itself, she took the time to relate to my concerns, address my anxiety, and explain the measures she would take to keep me as comfortable as possible. She was not pushy or overly conservative. She clearly outlined my options and how she would minimize pain during the procedure and manage discomfort afterward, which gave me tremendous confidence and peace of mind. Once the procedure began, she clearly explained every step of the process: what she would be doing, why it was necessary, and how long it would take. Throughout the procedure, she continued to communicate what to expect, which further helped ease my anxiety. It was also obvious that she and her assistant, Maria, worked seamlessly together and were in complete sync. Afterward, Dr. Sarshar took the time to thoroughly explain her findings in terms that were easy to understand. She discussed both the best-case and worst-case scenarios and made sure I left with a clear understanding of my prognosis and next steps. Overall, I couldn't be happier with my experience. If you're feeling nervous, in pain, or facing an unexpected dental emergency, this is the type of doctor you want in your corner.

The location looks like an older apartment that were converted for commercial use, but I could be wrong. At any rate, having a root canal is no fun, but I am glad thus far that I had my first one ever here with Dr. Sashar. After filling out the necessary documents, I was asked to go in for x-rays, the consult, and then the root canal. I was pleased with the Dr. not only explained the process before hand, but also offered options. In the end, the root canal was completed on #15. I was given a good amount of pain killer before and even during the procedure when needed. Dr. Sashar did her best to make sure the procedure went well and painless. Don't get me wrong, it's an uncomfortable procedure, but was required, short of completely replacing the whole molar. Dr. Sashar, was very good at explaining what was happening as she performed the root canal. Everyone was very nice and supportive in the office. In addition to Dr. Sashar being super nice and patient, the receptionist and Dr. Sashar's assistants were all very friendly. I hope I never will need another root canal, but if I do, I know where to come.

The whole thing felt surprisingly short! I also noticed the mutual respect between Dr. Kamarath and her assistant in their conversations, which I think contributed to the calming atmosphere. That evening, Dr. Kamarath even gave me a follow-up call, which I truly appreciated. To my surprise, I didn't experience any pain after the treatment, and my tooth felt completely back to normal in no time. Now I just wish I could see Dr. Kamarath for everything!
