For context this is my first time visiting fogo de chao but not my first time having Brazilian food/bbq. The vibe of the restaurant is kind of upscale casual. Looks nice and fancy inside but the overall ambiance is very inviting and casual. The food was all good-- no complaints about the meats nor the salad bar-- I left stuffed. Was there celebrating a friends birthday and we went with the best of Brazil experience ($54 a person, limited but still very extensive options for meats) Honestly was a lovely experience where you can try many different things and have a bit of everything! For me the reason I give this location 5 stars is because of the service. The manager was serving our table and she was an absolute ANGEL. Great personality hard working, and for my friends birthday she gave the complimentary dessert but gave an EXTRA one to me for no charged--- very thoughtful and she was full of personality too. Both outgoing, all 3 super sweet always checking in to see we were happy and if we wanted something specific they helped making sure you got it! My husband and me have been to many Fogo de Cho all over the United States including San Francisco, San Jose, Los Angeles CA, Portland Oregon, Baltimore and several other locations and this is on top one of the best for its customer service! Food is always good, my only ask is we didn't get any of the cooked pineapple until the end and to me and the visitors waiting as well beside our table the best ending to the experience. Since we had a big lunch, we did not do the full churrasco experience. Instead, we each ordered a special meat cut (unlimited) for $40 and included full access to the market table and Feijoada bar. Fresh seasonal salads, exotic vegetables, aged cheeses, smoked salmon, cured meats, seasonal soup, Fogo de Chão feijoada (traditional black bean stew with sausage) served with rice, fresh orange, farofa (baked yuca flour with bacon), and more. I was at this location yesterday to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I made a reservation for 10 using open table. Our party was right on time at 5:30 so I walked to the host and informed him we were all here. The host mentioned the table was still getting ready. This was one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had, especially for a place like Fogo de Chão. Our server had a clear attitude from the start and provided almost no service the entire night. We had to repeatedly flag him down just to get basic things like water. He forgot multiple drink orders, and my sister didn't receive her drink until nearly closing time, even after several reminders. That's completely unacceptable. The service only got worse from there. The staff walking around with the meats consistently skipped our table while serving the tables directly in front of and behind us. We even spoke up about it, and it STILL continued to happen. At that point, it felt intentional and extremely disrespectful. To top it off, we never received the dessert that was included with our meal, and my cousin barely had anything to eat the entire time because the servers weren't coming to our table. The only reason she ate at all was because I shared my food from earlier. For the prices you charge, this level of service is beyond unacceptable. I was invited to a birthday party it was a party of 8 we made reservations. The establishment is beautiful the food was excellent I had the chicken bacon wrap, steak, lamb and the salad bar. For drinks I ordered the strawberry Hibiscus caipirinha the drinks was watered down. The problem I had was with the waitress she took a long time taking the tables order. The table was told since the party brought there own birthday cake the restaurant does not provide to go containers. When it was time to pay the bill the waitress asked for cash did not want the table to include the tip on there credit card. The waitress was very unprofessional we all felt very uncomfortable. If you can, just go visit the food court downstairs. That citypoint food court is done really well and the food choices are thoughtful, catering to all demographics at a variety of price points. However, on the subject of Fogo I truly had a bewildering experience from start to finish at happy hour. It took nearly 15 minutes after seating to get menus and was only given one, despite my colleague and myself both being seated and only three other customers at the bar. The menu given was dirty and a dinner menu- when we finally got the happy hour menu, it was also dirty. Was not offered water, and when requested- was not given a glass of water. When placing orders, the bartender would immediately walk away when we would request one item and not come back to ask if we wanted anything else. Instead, he would immediately rush to key the items in the POS, which ended up in an incorrect bill by the end of the night for us, and a fully comped meal for another customer. All in all, because everything inexplicably took so long to even order- we spent two hours to get the grand total of: two drinks, one empanada, one order of yuca fries, and one burger. Also, the drinks were too sweet and unbalanced for what they were ( a passion fruit caipirinha and a cucumber mint smash.) I have heard much better reviews for other locations, such as the ones in Scottsdale and Manhattan so would visit one of those to make a better judgment of Fogo. Honestly, looking at the footprint of the space, it's quite possible it's too big to have tight operations. Downtown Brooklyn is still developing as an "upscale" destination and eating food in the middle of a shopping mall won't quite be a draw yet for the type of customer this restaurant is geared towards.In terms of space, this would be perfect for corporate buyouts, but the lack of large companies and the proliferation of city offices in this area make it prohibitive for office holiday party uses. read more

This is a beautiful restaurant right in the heart of Brooklyn. Arrived at 12:15 pm and was waited on by Jake. The restaurant was empty at this time so Jake was very attentive in the beginning. This was a birthday lunch for my friend and so we opted for the all you can eat experience. We started off with the salad and cheese bar. Next we had the soup and beans and rice. My friend went with Fogo to celebrate her 40th Birthday. When she sent me the invitation, I was surprised because I did not know they provided brunch. Nonetheless, I knew I could stay for the entirety of the event but I still went for about an hour. I arrived a little later than the majority of the attendees and they were already served their omelets and waffles. However, my friend let me know that there was one person making the omelet and it was the same person who delivered it yo the table, which meant many times people went to go get their omelets, but the station was unattended. I did not want to eat the meat, and really didn't want an omelette either, I just was fine with some mashed potatoes but I was informed I would have to do the full course since they do not just offer sides. I was confused by this but just accepted it and order mimosas and a non-alcoholic drink for the birthday girl. Even that took a long period of time. Another attendee waited over 30 minutes for her, which was comped, due to them bringing the incorrect drink. After my departure my friend's birthday continued to have issues with long wait times for drinks and meat to be served despite having the green card up. Overall, I think the restaurant looks nice, and while I understand they recently opened there just seemed to be a lot of confusion amongst the staff with how to operate. Finally, Brooklyn has its own Fogo de Chao! I love my borough and I'm enamored with this restaurant. I think it's the best ambiance of all the locations in NYC. You will have to request to be seated near the bar of the restaurant to truly experience the open churrasco grill that gives guests a 360-degree view of the culinary art of churrasco as the chefs butcher, prepare and grill Brazilian meats over an open flame. I came during the soft opening courtesy of Tara and had pretty good service. The drinks were well made and the scrumptious meats were consistently being passed around. For me, it's all about the well seasoned and grilled meats. My favorite is the PICANHA (Prime Part of the Top Sirloin) which is crispy and most at the same time. During this trip, I was able to sample the PORK BELLY which was paired perfectly with honey and absolutely melts in your mouth. I'm so glad that I paced myself and was able to make it to dessert because the Tres Leche Cake was deliciously moist and full of flavor. I can't wait to come back here. I went here for my nephews graduation lunch, because he requested steak. Lol. To be honest, i used to love fogo. It was my go to restaurant for birthdays or any celebration. Nowadays, it just doesn't seem to hit the same way anymore. The meats weren't as good, it was a bit bland, and although the meats are unlimited, It seems to always be the same cut that came around. Came here on a Saturday night for an ex coworker's farewell dinner. We were a large party and we also received the menu for the night. The overall ambience of the place was meh at best. I felt that the lighting was too dim and if you want to take a picture? Either forget about it or have your own personal light. The salad bar was okay, nothing I would go back again and again for. The meats - I wish I could say they were spectacular (bc I paid a lot for what little I ate) but it was also very meh. Not only did I have trouble hearing the guys bringing the meats around (I have an aversion to lamb so I need to ask what it was) but by the time I did hear and would like a piece, off they went. Perhaps it was also hard to hear for the workers as well? Other than that I don't feel that the meat was hot enough either. If I want a good steak, I really rather just order it at this point.
