    Pao de Queijo.

A friend and I came by for a late weeknight dinner and the place was busy. Despite that, we were able to grab a table outdoors. We started off with the Pao de Queijo ($14), which is a Brazilian staple. The cheesy bread is good, but I could also live without them. Then we shared the Strogonoff de Franco ($27) and Bobo de Camarao ($28). Both of these bowls come with greens and rice, which make it quite a balanced meal. I enjoyed the creamy chicken stew in the strogonoff more, but loved the citrusy and chopped up collard greens in the camarao. Overall, a solid meal that is balanced though I can't say it's somewhere I'd find myself going back to.

Walked-in and got a table for 3 for a late Friday lunch, but seats definitely filled up the later it got. Mainly giving 4 stars instead of 5 because of the long wait. We waited 25+ minutes for our food to come out. Our appetizer came out even later because they thought it already came out. The food is appetizing though. The pao comes with a delicious guava jam that actually works brilliantly with the filet mignon sandwich. Super chill ambiance and decor that feels like a little hideout in Williamsburg.

such a cute little hole-in-the-wall brazilian spot and i love coming here for happy hour. the caipirinhas are $9 and i've tried the guava, passionfruit, and lime flavors, all delicious. just a heads up though, they can lean sweet if that's not really your thing. you have to order the pão de queijo to start. even if you're still figuring out the menu, order it right away because they make it fresh and it takes about 15 minutes. it comes with this amazing guava sauce and is such a classic brazilian comfort food. we also got the coxinha, a few empanadas, and the mandioca frita (fried yuca fries). the beef empanada was definitely my favorite. so juicy and never dry. everything tasted fresh and delicious. the staff is always friendly, the vibe is cozy and the music is flowing, and it's one of those places that feels like a hidden gem you just keep wanting to come back to :)

I looooove Brazilian bread so it's no surprise that I loved the pão de queijo here. It was so fresh and dense, but still nice and chewy. The cheese is a bit salty but the bread is still delicious plain this way--but adding the guava jam changes the palette by making it sweet and still so yummy. I would definitely return just for this. For my entree I tried their prato vegetariano and I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as the pão de queijo. I found it pretty plain for my liking, but that might be because I prefer stronger flavors. But I think this is good for breakfast or when you want something lighter in flavor as this was still pretty filling.

A lot of money for a hairy plate of garbage. Rude service all around and in general. Refused to compensate for their mistake. Gross.

Had the best lunch at Beco. Place is elite. Service was top notch. Delicious steak sandwich. Will 100% be back!

I'm sure I've had Brazilian food at some place or time in my life, but I just can't remember? Maybe it was in some fusion restaurant or some restaurant that blended this cuisine with a certain area of South America, but either way, I sure had Brazilian food today at this lovely restaurant called Beco (Brazilian Portuguese for alley). Beco was the "Real Deal" experience with this fantastic cuisine. Everything on the menu was strange, different but exciting which made this all the more interesting. The three of us diners jumped into their menu and we let the chips fall where they may! And those chips landed in a very good place: * The Pao De Queijo was a traditional Brazilian cheese bread with a sweet dipping sauce * Auru is a popular Brazilian sandwich. This sandwich had cheese melted in a bain-marie, slices of roast beef, tomato and pickled cucumber * Their Açaí Bowl was this very healthy serving of cold sliced banana, strawberries, blueberries & house granola. It was refreshing and delicious. Beco's service and ambience was great which made this lunch fun and exhilarating. We all loved Beco in Brooklyn today!

I've been listening to a lot of Cartola lately, which ended up serving as the perfect appetizer to dinner at what I firmly believe is the best Brazilian restaurant in the city, located on a somewhat desolate street of Northeast Williamsburg. Start with the pao de quiejo: an easy choice sure, and here served piping hot with a perfectly subtle guava jam that straddles the line between sweet and savory. For a main, the vegetarian moqueca expertly deploys hearts of palm to create a seafoody texture. The best part of the platter? Not the excellent coconut stew, but the piquant pickled peppers and farofa that elevate any platter here to the next level.

My world's best Brazilian filet mignon sandwich!!

AMAZEBALLS! When I eat, I'm not one to make "mmmm" or "uugghhhh" or whatever sounds when something is good. The filet mignon sandwich with chimichurri was so unbelievably delicious my soul left my body and the body left behind would stop making all sorts of embarrassing sounds of deliciousness at each bite. For real, this sandwich was absolutely amazing. I can't believe I almost went out to get a cheesesteak tonight!

Cute little Brazilian spot that makes you feel right at home. Everything felt just right at this place. I had the coxihna and a cocktail, and everything was authentic and tasted incredible. The service was fast; my waitress was very nice and attentive. The restaurant was cute and chic, but I chose to enjoy the patio. 10/10, I would go out of my way to come back.

Well I ended up with the medium and she got the well done. We wanted cheddar cheese, well we both got swiss. We wanted truffle fries and we both ended up with regular fries. So yeah this pretty much goes down to not writing exactly what we wanted and us getting whatever food they felt like giving us. I would recommend next time to please write down customers orders so that the paying customer gets exactly what he's paying for. I will say again the food was very good but they screwed up the orders. Will I go back, I don't know but I hope in future they write orders down so this doesn't happen to anyone else.

This time our particular craving was meat so naturally rodizio was on the table. My brother recommended Brazeiro because he had a good experience there and the price was very reasonable. The sides are good but not great, but that's not what you come here for. They have some meat add-ons that cost extra and they were intriguing but not enough for us to order them. The meats were delicious. Everything was cooked to perfection. The server asks how you like your meats cooked prior to the service starting. They've got most of the typical cuts for rodizio and it's finished off with cinnamon-coated pineapple. Brazeiro just might be the new go-to for rodizio.

It is a small restaurant, but it is nice and intimate with smaller tables. We were seated immediately after walking in. Fortunately, the hostess informed us it was still happy hour, so we placed orders for a caipirinha and a mojito. We ordered the Rodizio Experience, which comes with access to the salad bar, fried sides, and tableside carved meats on skewers. Our drinks came, and the hostess asked how we liked our meats cooked, and we went with medium rare. The drinks were tasty, and definitely worth it at only $6 during happy hour. I tried the potato salad, Caesar salad, chickpeas, and feijoada off of the salad bar. The feijoada was especially good. The fried sides included yuca, croquets, plantains, and pao de queijo (cheese bread). All were done well. At first, i thought that the staff was skipping our table for the Rodizio Experience. But then I realized the skewers are dedicated to the table. They brought out sausage, chicken legs, garlic steak, steak wrapped in bacon, bottom sirloin, picanha, tenderloin, and beef rib. The skewers were all cooked to medium rare as I requested, and seasoned perfectly! Once we had all the meats, the hostess returned and asked us if we wanted to have another round of any particular cuts. Once we finished our second rounds, they offered us grilled pineapple dusted with cinnamon, which was also delicious. I would definitely return.
