I had a great experience dining here. The service was great, and the food was delicious! I came for happy hour, and the prices were very reasonable. Make sure to come early before it gets packed and I'd definitely come back.

Honestly not sure how people hype this place up. Probably the worst cuts I ever had but also they literally bathe their meats in salt. I genuinely felt nauseous after eating like two types of steak they gave me. Only good thing I got was their Mac and cheese. Only bc it had lobster tbh. It was too creamy

Fogo de Chão Brooklyn did not disappoint. The branzino was on point; fresh, flavorful, and they fillet it right in front of you like it's part of the show. The whole experience feels elevated but still comfortable, and the service moves with precision. Definitely one of those spots you go to when you want good food and a smooth night. Came for happy hour and had the most fun and gluttonous time. $10 cocktails; the most satisfying, giant, chimichurri-filled burger with the crispiest polenta fries you could ask for (also $10); and all the delightfully cheesy and still-warm pao de queijos you can eat! Incredibly kind and attentive service who go above and beyond, the hospitality here was really a stand out and made the whole night.

There is a male bartender here, glasses, shaved head. He is neglectful, and that was so on two consecutive occasions. Didn't wipe down the counter when I sat, didn't provide water. Took my order--one food and one drink--and then went on break before making my drink. A deadbeat. He's a must to avoid.

Took my mom here for restaurant week on a Wednesday and stood at the entrance with a delivery person for at least 15 minutes. A worker passed by, came back and still did not check up on us. It was odd because it didn't seem busy. When we were finally seated, we felt a draft all night since the wall seemed like they open to the mall and it was across from the street exit doors. The unlimited salad bar looked a little wilted and items weren't named. Happily, I didn't have allergies and I did enjoy the items I selected- arugula, avocado like dressing, salsa, fruit, rice, black beans & chickpeas. When we sat down the waitress returned with the restaurant week menu which was a $5-$10 difference and didn't include the prime meats. I enjoyed the meats, but had to specially request half the items- chicken, pork, lamb etc. the steak came out multiple times. Everything was delicious, but the party next to us were upset as they thought they were enjoying the restaurant week deal. The waitress explained that she was told not to bring out the menus unless explicitly asked which seemed a little shady. They brought me out a free dessert as we were celebrating, but this also took long to come out. Regardless, I could return if the weather was warm & there was another deal. The venue is really pretty, but I expected much more.

The bar is really cold. I had to wait 10 minutes before the bartender attended to me. There is a very high turnover and I never see the same bartenders or staff every time I dine here. I frequentl eat here. Since the summer their service has been very slow with out a word of telling the customer they will be with them shortly. The food has also declined a bit. I also ordered medium rare filet mignon and it came back cole and medium. The bartenders are overwhelmed as well. I sent my plate back because I asked for medium rare and it came back medium again!!!!! As popular as the restaurant. They still need to work on a few things. I am truly disappointed again.

We attended a dinner party in one of their private rooms, about 25 people. This was my first visit and it was worth it. The servers were so friendly and helpful. From the start the rodizio meat just kept coming. It was well seasoned and absolutely delicious. I even enjoyed the lamb which I rarely eat. The marketplace salad bar was ok, they do offer many options, but I opted for potato salad and cucumber salad. The pao de queijo - cheese bread - on the table was yummy, so were the fried yellow plantains and fried yucca sticks. If you're a meat lover then this is the place for you. You even get a card that lets the servers know if you want to continue being served the meats or not. When you dine here make sure to come ready to eat and with a good appetite.

Came for Mothers Day brunch and this was one of the worse Fogo experiences I have had. The menu was quite limited my section of the restaurant didn't have many of the servers stop by had to ask the manager several time no one has stopped by the table in 20/25 minutes. Was only offered 3 different meats the 90min we were there. The cold bar was not refilled once, the service on Mothers Day could have been better. Will not be back to this location again. I have emailed there customer service line and received no response

We arrived early and waited at the bar. We ordered some drinks including Mango Habanero and Strawberry Hibiscus. The drinks were strong and dressed up fruity slices and mix top shelf flavors. Gabriella greeted us and explained how this premium selection of meats and this never ending rotation was the best Brazilian cuts in town. The Picanha was served rare and tender, we loved the ever cuts, but they didn't come around often. The Medalhoes Chicken wrapped in hardwood-smoked, honey-cured bacon was my fav. It was flavorful, the bacon was crispy, and you could smell it across the room. The Lamb and the Pork were dry. I loved the selections of the more than lettuce salad bar, including mushrooms, roasted eggplants, smoked salmon, olives, and more. This location was extremely busy, but that didn't stop our server from being attractive and courteous. I'm looking forward to visiting the uptown location.

I was at this location yesterday to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. I made a reservation for 10 using open table. Our party was right on time at 5:30 so I walked to the host and informed him we were all here. The host mentioned the table was still getting ready. We were waiting for at least 20 minutes for a table we had reserved that was the first bad sign. We then got sat and out waitress messes all of our drink orders when we pointed that out she mentioned that she will remove the extra drinks she served us but she never did. Also the waitresses never showed up to our table again after messing up our drink orders. We had to be flagging people for water and drinks constantly. The meat was also slow. The servers just didn't stop by our tables and will rather go to the tables with fewer people instead. I pointed out several times to people passing because our server was nowhere to be found! I don't really think it was worth it. To top it all off I asked for a cake for my bf so we can sing happy birthday and the waiter took forever to bring it so I flagged him down to ask what happened to my cake order and he replied "oh did you want it now?" Like hello yes that's why i ordered it. Some people had to leave cause they were taking forever for everything. Also it was pretty cold inside the restaurant and we told the staff but they just ignored us. The service was mediocre do not go to this location at all!

We stopped by before a movie. We Sat by the bar. Service was so bad. So slow. It took forever for the girl to pour a glass of wine! She was busy making cocktails. It was a Monday evening! It was slow! By the time she remembered to our the wine, it was time to go n couldn't drink it. We ordered snacks n no napkins n silverware was given. I asked for hot sauce n it never came! Step up n Tran ye people better. The food is amazing. But the experience

I was on a healthy diet and coming to fogo de chao would not have been my plan but it was a nice surprise to see that there were other healthy options for those on a diet as well. So we had the full spread which includes a dessert and a lobster tail + the meats and the cold bar. The cold bar is where all the healthy options were - they had Cold pressed juice shots, salads, cold cuts, capers, tomatoes, fruit, berries, yogurts! Bacon, chicken, lamb, beef cuts, they were all coming through but I found the bacon to be the best tasting. The desserts were also allll very good, so overall, it was a nice experience. Their AC was very strong though and very uncomfortable!

The Salmon plate and the Churassco offer for brunch.

Ask the Community - Fogo de Chão

Does anyone know what parking options are available?

Limited metered street parking within walking distance and nearby paid parking garage

I saw now Fogo have $49 or $54 deal. Is that correct? If so, do I mention that deal once I arrive?

Yes. You mention it when ordering. It's just for the Taste of Brazil that doesn't include all of the meat options.

Do they have high chairs for toddlers?

Yes! They have nice high chairs and strap-on-chair boosters for toddlers. The staff were very nice and set everything up for us too! Just let the host know at the front :)

Some dishes were bigger than others. Both times I came they didn't have abalone so we substitute the dish for garlic scallop (which I prefer). The menu also says it comes with house special dessert but we never gotten any. For any seafood, it's market price plus they add a 30% processing fee, which is strange to me. For a Chinese restaurant which usually does not charge tax if you pay with cash, they charge tax here whether you pay by card or cash. The restaurant is pretty big and spacious. They have pretty large tables, suitable for parties and celebrations. There's a private space upstairs with 3 large tables for parties. The restaurant is pretty slow in the afternoon.

Every dish was incredibly unique, featuring exquisite flavors that truly "dance" on the palate. Squid (5/5): Cooked to absolute perfection, it was bouncy, chewy, and paired with a sauce that tied everything together beautifully. Steaklette (4.75/5): A fantastic dish. The sauce was once again the highlight, and it paired perfectly with the potatoes. My partner found it a bit salty, but for me, the seasoning was just right While they are currently Michelin Recommended, I truly believe they deserve a Star. I told our server this when she asked if it was our first time dining here and she found it similarly puzzling. That said, this sentiment is one rarely expressed these days, as Saint Julivert's longevity puts it in what I'd imagine to be an exclusive, highly coveted class of restaurants that have stood the test of time in the face of changing trends, the pandemic, rent, etc. And perhaps more importantly, it has stood the test of time *and* maintained its high level of execution and quality. Saint Julivert is a neighborhood spot as memorable as it is unassuming. We came here at around 7:30pm on a Saturday night. I live quite far from Saint Julivert which is the main reason I hadn't gotten here before this past weekend. Luckily, a friend who recently moved to the area was having a party, describing the offered fare as "drinks and light bites" -- code for "not sufficient for dinner" and an opportunity to find a fun restaurant nearby to try beforehand. Walking up to Saint Julivert was a bit of a thrill for me -- both because of how long it's been on my radar and also because it's nestled on a block that otherwise seems completely residential. The space itself is much smaller than I imagined, very cozy, friendly, and down to earth. We had, in my opinion, one of the best seats in the house, which was a pair of high tops by the kitchen with loads of space for folks (read: us) who like to order a bunch of smaller plates to share. To start, we got a round of cocktails. I had to go with the Kanpai Martini (vodka, gin, shochu, cap corse, guindilla), as I pretty much always start with the martini if one is featured on the cocktail menu, and my partner got the Puerto Escondido (mezcal, beet, grapefruit, jalapeño) which is a super tasty spicy mezcal marg variation. I then tried the Diamond District (mezcal, persimmon liqueur, cocchi americano) which is a variation of one of my other go-to drinks, a white mezcal negroni. No complaints here. Food-wise, we obviously leaned into the seafood here heavily. Tried to sample as much variety as possible and I'd say we did a pretty impressive job. We weren't able to finish everything but we tried our very best. Truly everything was exceptional so my usual letter grades aren't all that necessary because it was As across the board. Eats, below: Amberjack w/ tomato water, crispy shallot, shiso oil Ideal first dish, definitely had some amuse bouche qualities, being both light and bright. The fish was incredibly fresh and the concept overall with sophisticated with use of texture and flavor that was impressive in its subtlety and execution. Chicory Salad w/ blue cheese, walnut, persimmon, coffee cider vinaigrette Our one veggie of the night and it was well worth our while, fresh winter greens with that tried and true blue cheese/walnut combo made unique by the coffee cider vinaigrette which emphasized the sweet and earthy notes of the dish and brought everything together beauitfully. Wild Shrimp w/ salted kumquat, poblano pepper, pomelo If I had to give an award to most unique of the night, it would have to go to this dish. I've had a dizzying amount of seafood over the years and I've been lucky enough try to a lot of different types of things in a lot of different types of ways and this one stands out. Something about the flavor and texture of the mostly-raw shrimp with the delicate and aromatic citrus elements. Just impossibly fresh, bright, and delicious. Octopus w/ pipián verde, roasted tomatillo juice, cucumber, serrano A preparation I'm used to seeing served warm but I enjoyed it cold just the same. The overall flavor profile was predictable but the elements contributing to it were less so. The green mole was delicious and overall this dish was a perfect bridge between the lighter and the richer, a segue so perfect it was as if it was divinely ordained. Squid a la Plancha w/ pine nut, maitake mushroom, tinta, poblano The first of two warm dishes we ordered. A nice complement to some of the lighter dishes we had earlier in the meal that were more aromatic/vegetal/gardenia vibes, this dish was earthier, more umami and grounding. Jerked Hamachi Collar w/ mango-pickle mayo, lime Hard to finish with this because it was probably the richest of the dishes and we were already somewhat full by this point, but I ate as much as I could because it was just that good. The mango-pickle mayo was just sublime, the fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned beautifully -- altogether a playful and powerful way to end the meal.

I wouldn't have done my neighborhood justice if I didn't pay this beautiful restaurant a visit. I walked in here on a cold and quaint Monday night after a really long and exhausting day at work for my favorite treat. I got situated at the bar and ordered two dozen oysters on the half shell. The oysters came our looking phenomenal with a presentation that made me want to dig right in. Everything about these oysters are perfection. They are fresh, shucked with care so they retain their brine, they are a good size and taste phenomenal. The accompaniments on the platter are amazing. Cocktail sauce with freshly grated horseradish, a cucumber hot sauce that adds both heat and texture, a fat, generous wedge of lemon cut with Max juiciness in mind. This is one of the best oyster happy hours in Brooklyn by a mile and I say this with absolutely no exaggeration! The interior of this restaurant is also so beautiful with soft dim lighting and a clean inviting aesthetic. It's perfect for a cozy date night, intimate dinner or just a casual dinner with a little bit of oomph. Prices on most items are very reasonable, but the happy hour menu between 5-7 PM is an absolute steal! I deeply enjoyed chatting with my bartender Diego who is part owner of the establishment and learning how they procure their catch and personally taste the oysters they serve. You can just tell how much thought and care him and his partner pour in to running a beautiful neighborhood restaurant like this. If you are in park slope, this is the spot you absolutely have to step into. I can't wait to be back for more oysters and to try other things off their menu! 10/10

Tucked in the quiet end of Red Hook right by the water, is Brooklyn Crab - a lively, coastal shanty themed restaurant serving up some seafood favorites... but on a cold day in early February the abandoned and frozen tiki bar downstairs and the residue of snow salt on the staircase leading to the restaurant only served as a faint reminder of brighter, sunny days that await us this summer in New York. I plopped myself on the bar seating as cold gushes of air swept in with the opening door. The heating was struggling but so were we - it really was just that cold. However dire these conditions were, I was here for my weekly ritual - two dozen oysters on the half shell. Trish the bartender was a great sport. We chit chatted about the weather and her California upbringing and everything in between. She was great company and a delight to talk to. When the oyster platter arrived I was met with instant joy. Nicely sized oysters, neatly shucked, briny and beautiful with the accompaniments I like. A cold glass of beer I had been slowly working on in the background. They only have the $1 Sunday oyster happy hour during the winter months. Staff simply can't keep up with the shucking when it's busier. I deeply enjoyed this meal as the sun shined in the glass enclosure and it started to warm up. Far away I could see the waves crashing on the dock, as I guzzled down the ocean's perfect food. I also ordered the peel and eat shrimp and they were very good. Nicely seasoned, with ample amount of lemon wedges to make this meal truly one of a kind. This is one of the best oyster happy hours in Brooklyn, and even though I am traveling away from home right now, I can't wait to return and bask in this sunlit bar one last time this winter. Highly recommended!!

I am much more of a foodie person than vibes (though vibes are also important) but if you come at off peak and off season (i.e. middle of day in the winter), it is not so busy and you can take advantage of their great happy hour deals. We got a little of the happy hour oysters and some appetizers but also got a burger (not on happy hour list). The oysters were great - super fresh, not fishy. Really refreshing. The fries and the burger were also really good. And the shrimp was soo flavorful. I think if we were to come again, would skip the wings - they were ok, though the service was really nice and allowed us to try two flavors (gave us separate sauces) - maybe if we had done just one flavor and let them sauce them themselves it would have been better? Super close to IKEA and unbeatable sunset views. Will definitely come again if every around the area.

The long mirrors on the walls made the space feel bigger and taller as well. First and foremost, I'm giving this place a 5 for the service as they really went above and beyond. It was not the occasional stop by to refill water and grab dirty plates. Our waiter provided great recommendations and offered me a small sample of a wine I had heard him recommend to another table after I had already ordered my orange wine. In terms of food, the bluefin tuna special was very fresh. We enjoyed the hush puppies and the swordfish belly. The fry basket had thin rectangularly shaped fries which were amazing. The only thing is I wish it came with more than two pieces of shrimp and two pieces of fish. The chargrilled oysters were also very good. Lastly they offered free bread pudding which was a perfect way to end the night.
