Zach made a strong impression from the start--when he came out to inspect my roof and I told him of a problem area, he went up on the roof to look at it! Replacing the roof took only one day, the crew arrived early and worked very hard. I also had the gutters replaced, opting for 6" gutters. The larger size has made a huge difference, as they're less likely to get clogged. My home is in good shape thanks to Winfield Builders!

My project was complicated because my 1980s drywall shafts were the wrong size for modern solar blinds. Instead of just "making it work" or creating a huge mess with drywall dust, Zach proposed a brilliant custom solution: building a clean birch veneer box with custom trim. It looks stunning and kept my house completely dust-free. What impressed me most was Zach's integrity. During the install, a small piece of my old plastic molding snapped. Instead of ignoring it, Zach took full ownership and replaced the trim on both skylights with upgraded foam-backed wood molding at his own expense to ensure everything was airtight and uniform. It is not a simple fix but an upgrade, for free. See the attached before/after pictures and the broken plastic. Like most customers, I contacted a few contractors before selecting Winfield Builders. Their price is VERY reasonable, and the communication through Yelp was professional and transparent. It is rare to find a contractor who cares this much about the details. If you want a crew that is honest, skilled, and delivers a beautiful finish, call Zach. 1000% recommendation!

I have seen the name Calderon Contractors for years, and roofing is one of the many things they do. So I went ahead and reached out, using the quote service here on Yelp. Elmer, the owner, reached out relatively quickly. I didn't get to meet him, but he was my main point of contact. First visit to my house was from a guy named Hector, and was very kind, professional, and I described what the issue was and he had a look for himself. After his visit, it wasn't long before Elmer reached out with a quote, and we moved forward. Hector ended up being the one to do all the work, and it was efficient. As far as I can tell, the leak is sealed and I can paint whenever I'm ready. Thank you Elmer, Hector, and the rest of the Calderon Contractors staff!

Another part of the contract (which was probably created by an attorney) stated that they would provide an 8-year warranty for their work as well. When he arrived I asked him about the discrepancy in the contract and he said that the contract was done by his lawyer. I asked him if he could update the contract to reflect the correct warranty and he got upset because I questioned him about it. He literally stormed out the house after I asked him to do this. I just wanted it replaced because it was old as a preventative measure. A lot of roofing companies were trying to tell me either because nothing was wrong with my roof, I should leave it or they were trying to take something that wasn't an issue and blow it up and they were being predatory. I worked with Artem during this process and he was incredibly thoughtful, informative, and patient with me. Due to some changes in my job, I had to travel more than usual and I wasn't able to make a decision on my roof as quickly as I would have hoped. Artem walked me through different options and looked across quotes I had gotten to help me arrive at the right option for my home. He was really honest and didn't try to upsell me anything, which was a huge relief. When it came time for roof day, Artem stopped by a few times to make sure everything was going ok. The team showed up when they were suppose to. they did the final check like they said and sent me pictures. I was a little worried after the roof was replaced that I would get random leaks but honestly it's been a few months and everything is A-ok. One of the most difficult lift home projects for myself has not been taken care of and it was an incredible and easy experience. I have already recommended Central to a few people in my neighborhood. And as a few others have said in their reviews, thank you to Artem!

He answered all our questions during a face-to-face meeting prior to work starting, and was extremely communicative during the two days of work, letting me know how many decking sheets the work team would need to replace as they counted them, checking in when the 100-degree heat slowed the team down, and working with me to determine whether we wanted to go ahead and replace two damaged skylights along with the roof. I have never had a better experience with a contractor, as the skills needed for such work don't often seem to come with the same skills for customer service -- ACC and Alex specifically are the exception! The work itself is also excellent, and the team spent more than an hour at the end of a very long, hot day cleaning up my yard and sweeping the premises for any fallen nails or debris. I certainly don't expect to need a new roof again any time soon, but if I have any other projects within ACC's purview, I will be hiring them again in an instant.
