After I was finished, I was given a quick consultation where I was able to pick the style, length, and curl that I wanted. It was super helpful to be able to see photos of the different styles as well as the curls. I went with the Enhanced Volume set in the cat eye style. I was then escorted to one of the lash rooms where I was given a blanket. The ambiance, decor, and music made me feel so relaxed! My entire appointment was around 2 hours from consultation to check out, and my lash technician was great - she was very gentle to the point where I fell asleep (I usually never do during my lash appointments elsewhere!). The finished set was very lightweight and did not irritate my usually-sensitive eyes. My eyes did not burn or tear up. Upon check out, I was given a cute little pouch with a spoolie, cleaning swab, and aftercare instructions. I'm so glad that Dolly Effect is opening up more studios around the Bay Area - they not only have the cutest minimalistic space, but their work is fantastic and it feels like a spa experience. The receptionist was very thorough with the consultation and made sure I was award of the different options they had to offer. The overall application of the lashes was very relaxing. They applied tape around my eyes and I eventually fell asleep once my tech began. They play soothing music and the ambiance reminds me of a spa. My eyelash tech even gave me a brief head massage while the lashes dried. I was truly getting pampered! The lashes I chose were Mixed Kitten Eye styled and the length ranged from 10-12mm. They played an aftercare video after the service with detailed descriptions. I was really happy with the overall look and how durable the lashes feel. They're very secure and make my eyes look complete! UPDATE: I ended up getting an allergic reaction to the adhesive they use as eyelash glue and the studio was VERY KIND. They generously investigated where the irritation occurred and gave me several options to help find a solution. Since I had an allergic reaction, they offered to use a different adhesive for sensitivity! If you have sensitive eyes, I definitely recommend asking about this alternative.

The retention has also been amazing. My lashes stay fluffy and full longer, and I've noticed little to no stickiness/fumes during the appointment which makes the whole experience way more comfortable (my fav nap). If you have sensitive eyes or hate that burning/watery-eye feeling from traditional lash extensions, UV lashes are honestly a game changer. The hard gel never lifts no matter the growth, it's filed thin and natural looking, and the beautiful nail apex they create is probably the reason I have never had nail breakage-- of the gel or my own nail-- despite my work! Recommendation for new customers: definitely make an appointment or call before coming, whether for your full set or your repairs! While they take walk-ins, they are a BUSY salon. They are very accommodating, as they've done repairs for others in-between my own manicures.
