Overall, the food was great, but the service fell a little short--likely because the restaurant was super busy when we visited. Our server only checked on us once during the entire meal, and plates weren't cleared in a timely manner. For dishes, we ordered: Fried Calamari: Fresh, crispy, and well-prepared. Veal/Chicken Milanese (Breaded Steak/Cutlet): A fun, unique take! It was slightly on the oily side, but still tasty and enjoyable. Fettuccine alla Bolognese: Comforting and savory with a rich ground beef ragu sauce. Great spot for classic Italian comfort food, just be prepared for a energetic, bustling atmosphere!

While there is no set children's menu, the kids dined on buttered noodles and Italian sodas. Zoey, our phenomenal waitress, helped recommend excellent wine and food options. The interior is small and cozy which also meant that it filled up quickly as the night went on. There is also a patio in the back but it was raining when we came. The AC was on full blast but they were kind enough to turn it off when they realized we were chilly. We shared the fritto misto of cuttlefish and shrimp with fried lemon which was crispy and delicious. All of their primi dishes can be upgraded to an entrée portion. I had the daily risotto which happened to be duck and upgraded it to an entrée portion to share with my child. It was just enough food for the two of us (she also filled up on bread beforehand). Hubby had the browned butter and sage gnocchi as an entrée size which was smaller than expected and he polished off any leftovers from the table after finishing his meal. I enjoyed the gnocchi more than my dish even though risotto is one of my favorite Italian dishes. There was bone in my risotto and the flavor was just okay. The gnocchi had a good chew and the brown butter and sage went perfectly in this dish. We shared a panna cotta with Nebbiolo reduction for dessert. The texture was good but the sauce tasted slightly artificial. Overall, service was good and enjoyed the atmosphere of the restaurant.

Service was a little slow but it was pretty busy. They definitely overcharge for their wine (an average bottle of almost $50 and those options were not very good). Their specialty is definitely pasta dishes and while their Alfredo was amazing, I can't recommend the ravioli. It just was not a very well sized portion and left a lot to be desired. However I would return to try more items off the menu in the future!

Soft music in the background was very pleasant and did not intrude on your conversation. I noticed acoustic panels on the ceiling to help absorb noise. I really appreciate that as I do not like restaurants where the din voices overpowers everything. The house was very nice and accommodated my seating request. He explained a bit about the Restaurant and the special menu for that evening. On Wednesdays they have a prefix menu that you can choose or you can do the à la carte regular menu. We started with the. Patata appetizer, which is basically fried mashed potatoes serve served with an aïoli, which had just enough space to let you know it was there. Very good. Next, we shared the risotto which was served with spring vegetables and scallops. The risotto was excellent. Al Dante along with the vegetables. The tomatoes just burst in your mouth. Personally, I found the scallops to be too salty, but My Husband enjoyed it. For our main course, we shared the roast chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. Everything was cooked well and very flavorful. My only disappointment was that it is only a thigh and a leg and I do not care for dark meat. Overall, we really enjoyed our experience.

My girlfriend got the gluten-free cheesecake, which she was really excited about because she doesn't always get to have desserts besides ice cream at restaurants. Overall, it was a great experience and I hope to be back in the near future. Also, it seems like they do a solid amount of takeout business, so that might be an option for us too.

Everyone found something they liked on the menu and everything was devoured. I can't remember all the orders, but we had the special pasta with a spicy sauce, gnocchi, ravioli....everyone was satisfied. We all ordered dessert as well -- all beautifully presented and very delicious! Something chocolate, tiramisu, a lemony thing...so good! We knew ahead of time it was BYOB, so we stopped on the way over for wine. It was no problem and just a small corkage fee. It's definitely on the quiet side, and I don't know why it hasn't been discovered by others (maybe the BYOB requirement?? But this was no problem for us) and the food and service were terrific. We were dining with another family we were getting to know, so having the environment for good conversation was perfect. We'll make this a regular stop when we visit Chicago!

We loved it so much that we had to go to the actual physical location! The Farfalle Pollo is a solid pasta choice. This recent time around, we ordered one pasta to share between two people since we didn't want to eat too much. Our server was so nice that we got two pieces of bread (when normally there is only one piece of bread per pasta order) and the portions were large enough that we even had leftovers to bring home! The Ravioli Tostati was also very delicious. We wish that there was an option to have meat inside of the ravioli, but the marinara sauce brings in great flavors with the cheese filled raviolis. There was a waitlist when we got there (~6pm on Saturday), but you can drop your name and number, and then they will text you once your table is ready. The wait was about 20 minutes for us. Love the interior though, very intimate seating and dim lights. It's perfect for a casual date.

I've honestly never had anything quite like it! Their wine selection is extensive, and I went with a Pinot Noir that was delicious and paired perfectly with dinner. For my entrée, I had the shrimp linguine, and it definitely did not disappoint. The pasta, shrimp, and sauce were all so flavorful and perfectly prepared. We brought the kids as well, and they happily enjoyed their buttered pasta--which was a big hit! And did I forget to mention the desserts?! Absolutely divine!
