Ambiance - intimate little pasta shop, offers 4 tables, minimal decorations Service - order at the counter, self serve utensils and water, they bring food to your table and you pay at the counter when you're done Food - so good, the vodka sauce pasta definitely had a kick to it, burrata and honeycomb paired super well with the focaccia

Value doesn't get better than this for in incredible handmade pasta in Chicago. Menu changes daily posted on instagram. Yes it's that type of cool hole in a wall type spot. You walk into a studio apartment sized space with 5 bench top tables and prepare to be wowed. Pretty certain the owner is the one taking orders with one hand and flipping pasta with his other. But that didn't deter me from getting quick service and good brought out in less than 10 mins. You can put your order in ahead of time for pick up but I chose to come in person to experience this for my first time. We got both daily specials on this fall Wednesday evening and both were absolutely amazing. Generous portions of wagyu tongue, relatively curated sauce drizzled one top of perfectly cooked al dente pasta. The flavor was an incredible mixture between sweet, savory and fruity notes as well for both dishes. The focaccia was an interesting take, doughy on the inside and crispy salty rum on the crust. I cannot wait to come back to support this establishment and its high end restaurant quality pasta dishes at a bargain of a price point!

Overall Thoughts: I've been wanting to try out this spot for ages and am so glad to have finally snagged a pickup window on Friday. It did not disappoint and is worth the hype. The pasta is fresh, flavorful, and the value is good-- all this quality food for ~$25 per person total (solid compared to nearly every other pasta restaurant in the Wicker/West Town area). It's clear the level of thought and detail that goes into the dishes and into the design of each day's different daily pasta dishes. I love the concept of different pastas and shapes each opening day. Our pickup order was for 6:45pm, and despite the long lines, it was pretty punctual. The inside is super small with just 4 squished tables (and it was also super hot), but I hope to return one day to try the dine-in BYOB experience. Food I tried: - Focaccia with Whipped Ricotta and Honeycomb (4.5/5): This came with a sizable hunk of soft and crispy foccacia which was delicious with the fresh ricotta and honeycomb. - Campanelle (daily pasta) with tuna, olives, pomodoro, mandarin olive oil (4.5/5): This tasted very fresh with a welcomed "fishy" flavor. - Lumache with Spicy Vodka Sauce (4.6/5): Not really spicy, but super creamy and flavorful nonetheless. Really enjoyed this one. -- Price (relative to peers): 4.4/5 Food: 4.5/5 Ambience: N/A Service: 4.4/5 Overall Value: 4.5/5

Finally got to try this place! There are about 4-5 small tables that fit 2-4 people (you might be a little squished). It's a pretty narrow interior so there will probably be people standing in line to the side waiting for a table! Friendly service and it was quicker than I expected given the small staff. The pasta was on the saltier side for sure. We all really liked the bolognese and had high hopes for the oyster egg noodle pasta, but the salmon roe was a bit overpowering (would've added some sort of green or herb to balance it out). Would love to see some more veggies on the menu!

I discovered this place through social media, and after checking out photos of the pastas on the Flour Power website, I was dying to stop by. I was also terribly intrigued when I learned that the chef here was the chef de cuisine at Schwa. I have personally never been, but I have heard nothing but rave reviews about the place. Dining there is definitely on my bucket list. Anyways... This place is a counter service operation with about 16 seats available for dining in. It's a small space, but between the cool wallpaper and banging music of the hip hop and rock variety, the vibe here is awesome and right up my alley. I totally dug it. They have two pastas on the menu that change on a daily basis, and a shape of the day dish that you can order with pomodoro, arrabiata, and vodka sauce. They also serve a fantastic meatball with polenta, a delicous focaccia, and these cream puff like tiramisus for dessert (I regret not ordering this). We ordered the foccacia with burrata and honeycomb and it was great way to start the meal. I don't think I've ever had foccacia that had such a moist like texture before, but it was awesome. Like I mentioned before the meatball is awesome and a must order, in my opinion. For pasta we ordered the casarecce with roasted pork shoulder and green beans, and the lumache with beets, goat cheese, and the chives. These were fantastic! I absolutely loved them. I liked the food here so much that I ordered a shape of the day pasta (campanelle with arrabiata) to go. So yeah, this place is awesome and deserves way more buzz amongst Chicago food enthusiasts. Cool music, good vibes, and great food. It doesn't get any better than that. I'd like to make a habit of dining in or ordering take out at least once a week. Especially since the menu changes daily.

Here I thought I reviewed Flour Power around when they first opened. Shame on me for waiting until now! Quit sleepin' on this place. We've ordered to-go a couple times now and it has get to disappoint. It gives you an immediate local and hard working feel. Chef Wilson is serving up the finest dishes and don't be fooled - when that sign says closed, you can usually still find him back there prepping for the night or day to come. They provide a daily rotating menu on Instagram (or at least that's how I keep up). Order quickly on Tock because the dishes typically sell out. We recently ordered the chicken parm and decided to split it since we also had to do a fridge clean out #adulting. It was a great portion and perfectly split in two! The buttered noodles had me craving for more and I would literally lick a hot pan for more marinara - it's so dang good. The chicken parm was outstanding and inspired me to try making mine a different way. Chef Wilson uses everything from scratch down to the breadcrumbs. It'd be hard to beat but I'll have to taste test a few more to perfect mine at home...bummer haha. We are also huge fans of their focaccia and burrata. Focaccia is also a quick seller so jump on it quickly! If you see a ravioli stuffed with an egg rotating - order it. Another really amazing thing I'd like to note is that when I picked up my food on a Thursday night, there was a homeless man ahead of me and Flour Power gave him a hit dish on the house, no questions asked. It was really nice to see a local business do something so unselfish. Kudos to y'all!

What a concept! Flour power has a rotating menu that changes daily based on available ingredients (the talent behind the quick turnaround of menu items is not lost on me) The menu is posted on tock and instagram each morning. Everything is made to order and you really can taste each of the ingredients and flavors in the dishes.

We were walking and decided to stop in for a meal and it was AMAZING! There is very limited seating so we did have to wait around 30ish minutes but it's BYOB and my friends got a bottle of wine from a nearby liquor store and we were able to chill before getting seated. The wait was so worth it. We learned that they have a menu that changes daily and things run out fast. We ordered the two pastas that were left for that day and the focaccia + burrata and honey. The burrata was so fresh and creamy and paired perfect with the honey. The portion size was also great. The pastas were soo fresh omg I dream about them. They noodles, the sauce, the toppings- it all was so fresh and tasted like I was in Italy. The staff was also super friendly and accommodating and I cannot wait to go back! Their menus are posted daily on Instagram so be sure to give them a follow!

Small little spot. Ordered a head of time and grabbed a table and they served everything so quick and it was hot! LOVED the bread and the honeycomb with saltiness mixed with the creaminess of the burrata. I absolutely LOVED the meatball and polenta that was one of my favorite parts of the night. All the pasta was delicious, some spicy and some sweet. The broccoli cheddar pasta tasted just like the soup- which personally I don't love it in general but my table enjoyed this one. The other pasta was a type of sweet potato and meat dish. Sweet but tasty! Beef provided more depth. Will be back! Always on the look out for a pasta of the night that gets me to come in!

What a hidden gem! Amazing pasta and I love how they change the menu every day. Came in on a Wednesday night with a friend to dine-in and loved the vibes. Chefs were super welcoming and great to talk to. We order the Focaccia with the Burrata and Honeycomb to start. For the pastas, we got the Spaghetti (no meatballs, extra spicy) and the Creste Di Gallo (goat cheese, squash, and pimenton). The Focaccia was insanely good - seasoned to perfection and with the honeycomb, still thinking about it. Both of the pastas were also very flavorful, and I appreciated the use of seasonal veggies. Super yummy all around, and the prices weren't terrible either. So excited to come back and try more!

Awesome concept of serving a select, rotating menu each day. We got to try the Campanelle and Lumache and can't wait to come back to try more. Tastes so wholesome, quantity is big, and feels like super elevated home cooking. For eating in there are only 4 tables with 4 seats each, so we had a bit of a wait, but during that time we just put our names down and went to pick up a bottle of wine at a liquor store a block down since it's byob. Made me nostalgic of New York in terms of vibe with the narrow space and limited seating. A must try!

Came for the restaurant week special and it was great! $22.22 for fresh pasta, bread and dessert for 2 people. It was the perfect amount and the bread was amazingg. This is a great place for takeout, but there's also a small seating area inside and it's BYOB.

Loved going here for the first time. Got there right at 5pm to get a table and wow! It filled up so quickly, I'm glad I went when I did. The food is amazing, the service was great and the guys (owners?) were so friendly. Definitely bringing friends back! Loved it. Also, now that i know it's BYOB, I'll have to bring wine next time! I do wish they'd switch up the days they have vodka sauce. It seems it's always Wednesday or Thursday.

Up until tonight, my experiences had always been positive and the food was fantastic. Unfortunately, this visit was more than disappointing. I ordered a salad I've had at least a dozen times before, accept I added grilled chicken on top. I live for this salad and was just there maybe three weeks ago. Unaware that they have changed their menu, I ordered as usual. The name of the salad has not changed on the menu, but apparently the ingredients had been completely altered. When the dish arrived, to my surprise, it was drastically different and not something I enjoyed at all. I politely informed our server, who was kind and accommodating, and offered to replace the dish. However, it was now 6 p.m. we had tickets to see The Wiz at 7 p.m. and didn't have time to wait for another order, which I also informed her. I asked if the salad could be removed from the bill since it was essentially untouched. The server checked with the owner, who refused to remove the $30 salad or offer any kind of discount. When a restaurant changes a dish but keeps the same name, it creates a reasonable expectation for returning customers. When that expectation isn't met, basic customer service should step in. What makes this even more frustrating is that the restaurant was willing to prepare an entirely new dish, but not willing to remove the uneaten one from the bill. That simply isn't logical. If you're prepared to replace an item, it clearly acknowledges there was an issue, so refusing to comp or adjust the original charge is unreasonable. That decision was extremely disappointing. I, in-turn made the decision to eat only the additional grilled chicken on top, leaving the rest of the salad, paying the full bill and promptly getting out of there so we could be on time for our show. The only positive part of the experience was our server, who handled the situation with professionalism and kindness. Sadly, the new menu leaves much to be desired and this experience has cost Peanut Park my business and my referrals going forward.

The weather was perfect for outdoor dining so I went ahead and booked a table for Friday night. I felt like I won the dinner lottery. Service was wonderful and I didn't mind sitting outside at all next to the road with cars. I actually never stepped foot in the restaurant so cannot comment on what it's like inside. But do not give up that patio dining reservation if it's available. All of our dishes were delicious. I was really impressed by the meatball appetizers, chicken vesuvio (the potatoes are a must get as a side if you skip this dish), and branzino. The meats and sauces were wonderfully balanced and tender. Nothing tasted overly salted. Ironically, the pasta felt less of a star compared to the other dishes. And of course I had to get the gelato, which was so aesthetically presented and the taste just reminded me of an Italian summer vacation.
