If you're looking for peace of mind, do not call ANYONE other than Mike P with Connoisseur. Knowing that your project is in the hands of a professional is always important, but hiring one who is interested in performing their trade with technical excellence is even more important. I have used Mike for a few different services the past few years, including upholstery cleaning/protecting and most recently carpet cleaning. Our most recent experience with Mike reminded me how remiss I was in not writing a review until now. My family and I just moved into a wonderful new rental home, but the carpets hadn't been tended to in the way we expected. Within one week of living in the new place that has over 1500 sq feet of carpet, my husband started experiencing horrible allergies within about 20 minutes of walking in the door after work, to the point of needing to pop a Claritin daily. We figured the carpets had something to do with the problem, so I promptly called Mike P, knowing without a doubt he would investigate and tackle the problem. Mike arranged his schedule to come to our place sooner rather than later, and cleaned the entire house's carpet while my husband was out of town on a work trip. Before cleaning, Mike pulled out his blacklight and searched for what nastiness was surely looming, and found tons of pet urine scattered throughout each room of the house, as well as a huge quantity of dirt and particulate matter that was sitting in the carpets...yuck! My husband came home a couple days later to a fresh new house and NO ALLERGIES!!! Thank you MIKE P....you're a lifesaver!!!! read more

Made our 20year old tile floor look brand new! So happy with the service! Highly recommend

July 1, 2020 So, there I was, getting ready for my next Zoom meeting, when in walks my wife with the morning's portion of 'green drink'. On this occasion she was visible to all in the meeting, she's wearing a caftan, and her sleeve gets stuck on the doorknob. You know what happened next. Green drink is everywhere, and now we have got problems. My wife is trying to apologize, my peers are seeing and hearing the pain and I am sure they're uncomfortable at the site of the green drink spilling all over the room. It's a bad couple of minutes, but it brings us to the purpose of this review. We need professional help. As usual, our first stop is Yelp, and, again, we are not let down. Connoisseur Carpet, Tile and Upholstery Cleaning has 12 reviews and five stars, and they are from our local community, what's not to like. We give them a call, and they come by that afternoon and take care of the green drink dilemma. But the fun does not stop there, we've got additional needs. Green drink is prompting us to take care of some other issues. You see we need to have some tile cleaned in a shower and in our kitchen, and so we need to make an appointment for these services. That all got wrapped up today. So, now in the Zoom room even though it did have a positive outcome, as it caused us to take a few items off of our 'to do' list. We have got a clean and sealed shower, a cleaned and sealed kitchen (both, by the way, are made of travertine) and a spot cleaned carpet in one of our rooms (my Zoom room). What are you looking for in a professional tile and carpet cleaner? Should they show up on time? Should they communicate if they might be a couple of minutes late? Should they give you a price and stick to that price? Should they, if possible, stop by on the day of the incident to clean up the cause of the phone call in the first place? If your answer to these questions is yes, then I'd encourage you to consider Connoisseur Carpet, as Mike delivered on all of the above, and it was clear to me that he had knowledge that augmented his credibility. Would I use Connoisseur again? The answer is, yes, and I will be posting a few before and after photos so you can observe the changes for yourself. Also, so you know, we have decided it might be better to not drink green drink in the Zoom room. read more

FLOOR'D Cleaning Services - Before, July 1, 2020 - Carpet Cleaning Near Me

While our carpets got cleaned (their only a year and a half old), the communications were unreal. After initially setting this up through text, he sent me an email outlining our discussion. Two weeks later get an email asking again what we wanted done. Then the day he showed up, it was still up in the air to him. He moved no furniture, even medium stuff as he said in his original invoice. Not terrible work, but would recommend you look elsewhere. read more

Mike came to clean my neighbors almost 30 year old linoleum flooring. My neighbors housekeeper had been using a mop & Glow for years on the floor causing concern it would be very difficult to clean. Mike did an amazing job knowing just what to use on the floor to get it clean. My neighbor is extremely happy with the results! We would absolutely recommend Mike to clean your floors!!! read more

I had my carpets cleaned by Mike today. I have to say I am really picky. I owned my own carpet cleaning business for years. Mike started with vacuuming my whole house. (even though I did it before he arrived). Then did a pre-spray everywhere. So in layman's terms cleaning chemical. Which most companys charge extra for. Next step he scrubbed the whole carpet. Last step he did the extraction (most companies only do this step). Wow!! My carpets look like new. I haven't ever had someone do my carpets so well. I will recommend him to the moon and back!! Thank you Mike! read more

Quick Answer: GREAT COMPANY, SERVICE, & KNOWLEDGEABLE TECHS. A must call!! Called Mike to schedule some grout cleaning in my kitchen. He was quick to pencil me in. His son Davis showed up and sized up the job and setup beyond professionally. This crew uses mats to protect their traffic areas to ensure they don't track dirt ext. thru your house, as well as setting up corner protectors to protect walls from the hoses ect. Davis was super friendly, Knowledgeable and professional, the grout was heavily stained and when he was done and it dried, & sealed it was just like NEW!! I highly recommend these guys. read more

Mike just left, and we are very pleased with the results. The bedroom carpet that is 20 years old with nasty spots and overall soil looks like new. The foot traffic soil on the newer carpet in the great room is gone and the overall appearance has been refreshed. All of this at a reasonable price. Mike is a true professional. He even called to let us know he would be a little late. Sandra B. read more

Extremely professional and meticulous. Mike will be our guy from here on in. My wife is very impressed and that is saying something as she is picky! He brought drying machines, floor protectors (for the hardwood, so he wouldn't track carpet cleaning fluids on them) and even wall corner protectors so his cord and hose wouldn't mark the corner going up the stairs. All of his equipment is state of the art and in excellent condition. Mike took his time and was very thorough. Highly recommended! read more

This was the best carpet cleaning I have seen and many years ago I owned a carpet cleaning business. First he vacuumed, then he spot cleaned, then he sprayed the entire carpet, then he used a scrubber and THEN he steam cleaned. The carpet looks GREAT!!!! We had a substantial leak in our master bedroom from a pipe complex connection in the wall behind our bed. I followed Mike's instructions and was able to save our carpet. After all the repairs, I had Mike come over and clean the carpet, and it looks like new! My wife likes the carpet now. Mike did a truly excellent job for a very reasonable amount of money. He shared a lot of knowledge with me, as this was my 1st experience with a big leak like this. Everything worked out great, we are very happy!! read more

Start to finish, this was the best cleaning service that I've ever used. Making an appointment was super easy and they were able to schedule for my requested date. Davis called to reconfirm that morning and arrived right on time. He thoroughly vacuumed before the actual cleaning began and the entire process took far less time than I'd anticipated. The carpet looks great! Highly recommend Connoisseur and will use them again. read more

Mike and Connoisseur are industry leaders in their field. Mike is known throughout the country as a source of information on the latest "green" developments in carpet, tile and upholstery cleaning. He takes his business very seriously, and is constantly updating his knowledge base by extensive networking. I have personally seen him methodically testing new products on many different types of fabric before he will use the product in a customer's home. He has great respect for his customers and as a result, has developed a large and loyal following over his many years of experience. I have used Mike for my my own rental properties and have been thrilled with the results. I recently watched his crew clean an area rug that was destined for the landfill - it came out looking new. Amazing. Five stars. read more

So, one evening our dog woke up from behind my tv chair and squeezed out under my small round chairside table...upon which was a crystal wine glass full of RED wine! I watched it in slow motion shatter against the wall and explode against the tv chest, spray into the hall and soak into our nearly new light gray carpet. We did what we could to dab it up, and the next day called Mike at Connoisseur Carpet & Cleaning. We had little hope either that the carpet could be saved or that we'd see anything of Mike, a stranger to us, for a day or two. WRONG! Mike came out within three hours and had it totally cleaned in 45 minutes. It's good as new, and we've found a knowledgeable, trustworthy, professional to call in the future. Highly recommended. Thanks, Mike. read more

We've used Connoisseur for years in Ben Lomond. My family recently had them clean our Tahoe cabin. The job they did on our tile floor was incredible. The grout is ten shades lighter at least. Amazing. They sent us information on how to keep the floor clean after they sealed it and all I can say is, Wow! were we ever doing it wrong. The floor stays so clean now. The carpet looks fantastic too. Fair prices, super thorough, very friendly and knowledgeable. I've been a yelp user for a long time but it took Connoisseur' s great service to finally get me to leave a review. read more

Wow! My carpets are beautiful again. Thank you Mike. We got a puppy in November. Potty training made them look horrible. The cat wanting higher ground, started sleeping on the back of the sofa. The puppy slept with the man in his easy chair. EVERYTHING was a mess. Now I can breathe again. It all looks new. Thank you, thank you, thank you Mike. Reasonable and fantastic. read more

I was totally blown away by the professional attitude and knowledge. after having carpets cleaned in my rentals by a service that my management company uses, I will always call Mike. In most cases, the managements cleaners told me the carpets were beyond cleaning, and of course charged for the effort, and after consulting with a friend who is a retired owner of a cleaning co. he called bull on that excuse. I contacted Mike and had him do my own home. You got a customer Mike. read more

Mike is the ultimate carpet & tile cleaner. When Mike was located in Santa Cruz I used him in my own house and also referred many of my clients to him over years. He is hard working, thorough and enthusiastic. He is the cutting edge of knowledge when it comes to what products to use. Mike leads conventions for other carpet cleaners throughout the United States, who turn to him for education and insight in the industry. He has an informational blog that offers tips on everything carpet and cleaning you would want to know. And on top of all that he is a really nice guy with lots of integrity. I was horrified by the condition of the carpets in a house I had rented out. I vacuum every room so many times that I dis paired if ever getting out all the dirt and pet hair. Mike is extremely professional with what he does He really knows what products, tools and solutions needed to get your carpets almost as clean as new. Our carpets suffered from the oils released into carpets from having a pet dog. We love our dog Lily, a labrador retriever, and we're very happy that Mike knew what to do to eliminate the oils. You wouldn't believe the before and after pictures of our bedroom carpet. It was also very cold out the day our carpets were done and the "seal a door barrier" helped to keep the cold out. Very Nice! I would highly recommend his service read more
