I hired Robert the 2nd week of December to remodel my bathtub to a walk-in shower using FlexStone…read morevinyl panel kit. He came out and assessed the job and assured me it was a piece of cake, had done one similar and could do the job in two days. He agreed to work from 8am to 1pm. He showed up 2 hours late every day. The first day was tear out, we asked him to remove the tub without damaging the trim or crown. He hacked into the trim in order to make the tear out easier for himself, he assured us that he would fix the trim during the install I paid him via Venmo for 4.75 hours at $85 per hour. The supplies were on order, so installation was scheduled the following week. Again showing up over 2 hours late worked for the next two days 12.5 hours on plumbing and drywall, he demanded we square up and pay him for the 12.5 hours prior to finishing the job, so I sent another Venmo payment. The work appeared very subpar, but I let him return on day 4 to hopefully finish. Robert insisted on installing the vinyl walls like tile, completely disregarding the manufacturer's instructions to glue directly to the sheet rock. He slathered thinset all over the drywall causing an uneven surface so the corners had uneven large gaps. Now we're on day six and he has one more panel to install, he realized the walls are uneven and brings a router to try to fit the uneven seams, leaves plastic shavings all over the garage. After 6 hours of trying to fit the back panel, he says he screwed up and wants to make it right by ordering another panel. He cut it too short by an inch and a half. I explained that you can't just order one panel, a whole new kit would need to be ordered @$1100. He agreed that was fair. After two days of no contact, I messaged him to make sure he ordered the kit. He said he had a problem with his bank. I assumed he didn't have the funds to replace the kit. I decided to order the kit myself and request a refund of the amount I had paid him. He said he needed to make payments. I agreed to allow 4 payments starting Jan 1, and have yet to receive anything. In addition to the botched panels, he installed the pan out of level, the drain was Jerry rigged with miscellaneous parts, the valve was installed upside down, he used PEX shark bite system in an upstairs inside wall which has been known to leak after sometime when the O rings wear out. And he destroyed an irreplaceable frame on our wall while making multiple trips up and down the stairs. I had two licensed plumbers come out and access the job. They confirmed that the plumbing was subpar and needed to be replaced, so the entire shower had to be torn out and start fresh. The new contractor had the job done correctly in 4 hours, yes HOURS, not days. I could kick myself for not hiring a licensed professional in the first place. I am now in the process of small claims litigation to recover the $3k in wages and supplies caused by Robert's lack of experience and transparency. Be sure to hire only licensed contractors and get references prior to hiring anyone for home repairs. Don't just go by reviews, they are very misleading.

Everything in his bio is a lie, he is not licensed, not insured or fully covered, no integrity, no…read moreskill or quality of work. Admitted to messing up my job, and destroying my property, offered to make payments towards a refund, but totally flaked. Be sure to only hire licensed contractors, verify their license on the Nevada State Contractors Board website for complaints, and NEVER pay until the job is complete.
