I couldn't be more pleased with Fresh Start Carpet Care. Communication from the get go was excellent. I left a message with the business and got a call back right away from the owner Zach Culley and got on their schedule. He contacted me the day of letting me know he was on his way arriving on time. Both he and his team member provided top of the line carpet care. I couldn't be more pleased with the outcome of my carpet and also Zach's professional and friendly demeanor. They will be my go to for carpet care needs going forward. Thank you Fresh Start Carpet Care. read more

On my initial phone call to owner Zach, I was immediately impressed with his professionalism and responsiveness. My first call went to voicemail, and he returned my call while I was leaving a voicemail message. On March 24, 2026, Zach and Craig came to our 1850 sf home to clean all the carpeting. They arrived on time and got right to work, bringing in their equipment carefully and putting corner guards in place throughout the house. One of the first things I noticed was the pleasant scent - it is very light and does not smell like chemicals. My usual preference is for no scent, but I found myself preferring this delicate scent. They were efficient and quick (but not too quick!), and the carpets looked very clean when they were through. The price is one of the most reasonable I have found in Reno and includes a military discount (thank you, Zach, for your patriotism!). Fresh Start is fairly new to our area, but not new to the business of cleaning flooring. We look forward to trying their tile cleaning service next. If you need your carpets cleaned, I feel confident recommending Fresh Start Carpet Care. read more

The owner was very responsive and polite. He took care while cleaning our carpets. I got quotes from a handful of cleaners in the area and they were all pretty much the same. Our carpets came out great. They were in good shape before so I can't comment on stain removal or things like that. They came in at 8am and the carpets were mostly dry within 12 hrs. They will be our go to going forward read more

Team was very responsive to my project request. Booked them immediately. Zach and crew were on time and did a great job. Honest and actually lowered my quote based on actual work. Much appreciated and I would highly recommend this team. read more

Zach did an amazing job!!! He made our carpets look brand new and even moved furniture to make sure he got every spot I couldn't reach. He also cleaned our couches and they look like new again. I highly recommend Fresh Start Carpet Care to anyone looking for top-quality carpet and upholstery cleaning! read more

These guys did a great job of cleaning our carpets, as they have before! They're very professional, friendly, thorough, and considerate of our house and furnishings. Fresh Start did an outstanding job cleaning my carpets. It was easy to book the cleaning with the owner, Zach. I gave Zach and Kraig a real challenge! My dog had put trails of dirt in my carpeting and I couldn't get it out. We also found that the previous family in our house had a dog that used one corner of the master bedroom when he couldn't get out. I could not get the smell out. Zach and Kraig fixed everything for me in a very short time. What a find Fresh Start Carpet Care is! I highly recommend them, and will be calling for help with my carpets again. This company gives you tremendous value for the price! read more

I got the basic clean - received a text based quote in line with other providers. When the tech came, he "offered" the deep clean and odor services. When I turned him down he checked to see if I was sure and explained they are recommended for the best clean. I have to admit I felt a little bait and switch since I wasn't given to understand, at the point of quote, that was an option or a recommendation. Also I wasn't keen on getting prompted to tip by the digital payment system. For... carpet cleaning? I did tip, because that's what you do when hit with a surprise, in person tip prompt. Maybe tipping has entered into this industry too, and I just wasn't aware. However, even with the basic clean my rugs were brighter and cleaner. The owner and tech were both very pleasant. They were also accommodating, setting a clean up within a tight time frame to help me get moved. Good value overall, good service ethic. read more

We HIGHLY recommend this company! We thought our request to clean two small bedrooms might be too small of a job for a professional carpet cleaner. The owner Zach, return my call within the hour and scheduled time to come to the house within the following week. Zach and his associate Kraig, took extra care of a couple major stains that we could not clean ourselves. The bedroom carpets now look brand new. High level service at a fair price! Thank you guys! read more

My carpets are 7 months old but needed to be cleaned as the color is light, I have a dog and there were some pee stains. Zach immediately responded to my inquiry via Yelp, I sent him some pictures and he gave me a very reasonable estimate. We scheduled the cleaning appointment, he and Craig were there on time and did a great job cleaning the carpet and our upholstered furniture. Zach explained the pee stains might need a second clean and to let him know if the stains resurfaced. As predicted they needed a 2nd treatment, he came out no charge and the stain is now gone. I cannot recommend Fresh Start Carpet Care enough! I was able to book an appointment via text message which was super easy and convenient. Zach was very professional and very knowledgeable about both carpet and tile care. He did not rush through the job and the outcome of both our carpet and our tile was amazing. I moved from Sparks to Dayton and my usual carpet cleaner wasn't returning my phone calls anymore. Grandma is on her way for a two week 80th birthday trip and I need the carpets sparkling. She has high cleanliness standards and nothing but the best for Grandma. My local Chamber of Commerce said Dayton didn't have anyone. I have some friends in the real estate business at ReMax in Reno. I asked for a referral and without hesitation gave me Zach at Fresh Start Carpet Care with a positive affirmation - "they've done A LOT of jobs for our ReMax team." I immediately called and Zach picked up within the first ring. I got the impression he was in the middle of a job and impressed he took the time to take my call, answered my questions with a friendly tone of voice that portrayed he was genuinely excited about my business. Refreshing!! I was in pinch with a deadline looming for Grandma's visit. I couldn't believe he had an opening on Friday - only 4 days away. Wow. He quoted me a great price for 4 bedrooms, hallway and a sectional couch in a 2 story home in Dayton without a travel fee. No need to shop around here. Communication was stellar. Zach texted me couple days before my appointment to confirm everything. I appreciated him giving me a heads up he's on his way the day of. He was exactly on time too. He built instant rapport with my dog Gunner and took the time to make friendly conversation while touring the house. It's the little things that go a long way. No high pressure up-selling. I see online they do a lot more services than just carpet cleaning so I'm excited to explore those services at a later date. I had a family obligation during my appointment and left Zach to finish all alone. He gained my trust and loyalty instantly. Zach took the time and texted me when he was finished keeping me in the loop throughout the entire appointment. All the rooms sparkled! The scent of cleanliness permeated throughout the house. Wish I could bottle the smell of a job well done. Stains were removed, carpets were dryer than expected. Zach's attention to detail on individual couch cushions must have taken a lot of time. He certainly went above and beyond. I love looking at those perfectly created vacuum carpet lines validating hard work. I'm not easily impressed and rarely write reviews unless a company exceeded expectations. I was impressed and proud to support this small business going forward. Keep up the great work, Zach! read more
