I had gotten quotes from a number of carpet cleaning companies but Total Carpet Care was the quickest to reply to each of my follow up questions. I have to admit I was a bit on the fence given the overall Yelp rating, but when I dug into the reviews I saw that many of the bad reviews were old (we are talking like 10+ years old) and many of those bad reviews seemed unreasonable. Go with this carpet cleaning company if you want: -carpets that will get cleaned and be dry fast -smell like they have been truly cleaned/sanitized (there wasn't a perfume or soapy smell but rather a chlorine/bleach smell that faded as the carpets dried) -to avoid fans and days waiting for your carpets and the pads under them to dry -to hire someone who comes across like a genuinely good guy (no upsells here-- thank you!) He also cleaned my 3 armchairs (one of which had been used as a nursery rocking chair with breastmilk stains... Michael was very gracious about that and didn't act all grossed out). Lastly, I also felt like he was thorough and took his time getting the job done right. My carpets look much brighter and the whole house smells so much cleaner (with 2 cats, a large dog, 2 toddlers, a baby, and baby chicks that were raised in a brooder in the house for a time, I'm afraid I may have had one stinky house...).
