A few months ago, my house had a slab leak. All the flooring had to be ripped out, and it was a stressful time. Floor Decor in Upland was recommended to me by the restoration/water damage company. I was nervous about finding the exact type of flooring that I wanted. Dave from Floor Decor came to my house with samples and walked me through the process of choosing a floor. He was extremely kind and knowledgeable and made several useful suggestions. Once the flooring order arrived, the installation went quickly and smoothly. I totally love my new floors (a water resistant laminate made in the USA). I chose a lighter color than the previous flooring (based on Dave's suggestion), and the new floors have really brightened up and opened up the rooms. Even though the flooring project is finished, I know that Dave is still available to support me. In fact, I've already called him several times to ask questions about the best way to clean the floor and to handle spills and pet accidents. They started on a Monday (two on the crew) and completed almost a whole house by end-of-day Wednesday when Friday was the initial deadline. Things started out great but once the job actually started and they had your deposit things went all down hill! I would never have faith in this company and never recommend!. I can say so many things but, All I am going to say is the customer service was shameful, and insulting when THEY did a poor job of installing our stairs. I contacted Costco flooring and Steve came to my house and immediately started telling me how Costco flooring was too expensive . He put down his business card from Floor Decor and told me to go in and look but to steer away from the Costco product because they were too expensive and exclusive to Costco. I felt very uncomfortable because I contacted Costco flooring but this man did not seem to be representing Costco. My husband and I went into Floor Decor and Steve was there, again we were made to feel uncomfortable by being told what to look at and what section of the store to stay in which was the less expensive. As soon as my husband wandered to a different section of the store Steve yelled out from across the room to my husband, thats too expensive you need to be looking in this section where the less expensive stuff is. He turned to me and was still bad mouthing Costco by saying that where my husband was looking was expensive like the Costco prices he was telling me about at my home. Steve should not have assumed what we could and could not afford. My husband and I felt like we were being discriminated against because we were told to look at the less expensive stuff in the store without even knowing our budget. This was a great waste of our time and highly unprofessional, obviously we will not be giving Floor Decor our business. I wonder how many other Costco members have had a bad experience with this man Steve. I feel he should not be representing Costco. read more

My husband and I were shopping for nice carpets and one main thing my husband wanted was 10 inch padding. We found it at this place so we schedule for 2 rooms to be installed. We were happy with the carpet since it was what we wanted. A week later we're installing our cable and we want no wires showing so we have to go under the carpet, well! What do you know?? We have the same Old padding in the bedroom!! We call to tell them. The installer shows up at my door and I tell him wait my husband will be home in a couple mins. He leaves! We call them again and they say the installer was at our house to put in the padding. That was his jod to begin with. So they're reply was not "i'm sorry", but the padding was $80 we will give you $100 in a visa card. Wth!! All bad who knows how many people they've done this to. read more

Sam was very professional and communicated well with us throughout the entire process. Dishonest installers came to our home make repairs to the floor they installed 6 months ago. After they started the repairs one worker said he was not paid for his previous work in our home! Fortunately I did not fall for this scam. I told the worker to consult Floor Decor for his payment. Even more surprising he made further attempts to defraud money by asking if I had already paid for the flooring because he was not fully paid for his prior work. We will NEVER use this company again because the Floor Decor workers behaved deceitfully! read more

We had a water leak in our upstairs bathroom. It ruined our tile in that bath and it also ruined the bedroom that was near the bath. Water dropped onto the first floor, causing damage to the family room and the stairs. I received a referral from a company that did the restoration to call Floor Decor. Dave came up that afternoon to give us an estimate to replace the tile and all of the carpet. I was impressed by his "straight talk", he didn't try to "sell me" what I didn't want or need. Though I already had a bid from a different carpet company, we choose Floor Decor based upon Dave, the carpet/pad we wanted, his knowledge of my existing carpet, and the bid price. I place the "price" on any item we buy for the home in the "last column", as the price is not an indicator of good value. Floor Decor's price saved us over $1900. The quality of the carpet is superior and the installation was very good. I recommend talking to Floor Decor before you have floor coverings installed. Took a great deal of time researching all kinds of options to have my entire house done in laminate flooring. Met all kinds of "interesting" people trying to upsell, continually adding fees to a given quote, and not being clear or direct about what was included. Sigh. Huge variety in quality of materials and samples. Some really shoddy stuff out there. Decided to go through Costco home services. I knew they would carefully vet the local contractors who did the work. Jerry came out to the house for a consult. He was on time and thoroughly prepared and professional. He presented clearly the given quote and listened well to all my concerns. When it came to my choosing the Costco arrangement for financing, he was incredibly patient as I had placed a fraud alert on my credit background. There was a snafu in getting that straightened out with the credit reporting company so that Costco could approve the financing. He didn't leave until everything could be completed! Jerry responded quickly and efficiently to all my inquiries regarding the ordering of the materials and timing of the actual start date. He didn't "disappear" once the order was finalized. He kept me informed all the way along the process to completion. The crew (including José) was simply phenomenal. Had been worried about any delays, "surprises," and actual quality of execution. The entire crew were all gentlemen and extremely careful about my household belongings and very thoughtful in what state they left the house after finishing the workday. What also stunned me was the incredibly rapid way in which they completed the work. They did not "rush" but did incredibly fine, careful work. They cared about their work and took great pride in doing the job "right." They finished well before expected and tidied up their outside work space and garage area. It is s gorgeous floor and and I couldn't have been happier! If you have to have flooring done, no reservations in recommending this company. Loved the store and the selection. Hate the installation that was done in my house last year. I had arguments with my installer, Jorge, when he didn't snap lines and began going crooked as he followed a non-square wall. I called the store and and spoke to Jose and he was not able to help because he was out doing estimates and intervened only by texting Jorge. Jorge finally, after hours of arguing, took up the crooked tile. The job was quoted 3 days but took 6.5, I have crooked/jagged lines where the tile meets the carpet, uneven tiles that are tripping hazards, and now I have holes in my grout everywhere. I should have complained and made them fix it then. I spent over $8K and hate the work but I hated the experience more. I cried for days and still shake my head in disgust almost daily. Do yourself a favor and find someone else to do your installation. read more

Poor customer service. I had a rep (Ken Kalaydijan) from floor inc come to my house to get an estimate for new carpet, They showed up with a very limited sample of colors. I was not interested in the colors they came with and requested a quote on a different color and possibly another brand. I told them I had seen some colors at Home Depot, Lowes that I had liked, Ken and his coworker immediately started to talk down the brands saying they were crap and they know it because they worked there at one point in there life. Long story short I feIt we had pushy salesmen poor customer service, I thought maybe its just me expecting too much.. I tried to follow up with ken and his company to get that pricing. What do you know its been weeks and I never heard back from them again . People save your time and your money if they are this hard to deal with I cant imagine if I had them install the carpet and something went wrong. read more

We randomly stopped at 955 9th Street, looked around (so many selections to choose from). We needed tile and carpet in a house we had just purchased. We originally went to Floor Décor and met Jose. He was very helpful before he got our business. After that, it was a different story. We were quoted a timeframe of 1 week to do our job and it ended up almost taking 3 weeks. That would have been ok if we had received a quality job. But that wasn't the case. We went in several times to the store to look at samples and pick out materials. We heard from Jose and the owner of Floor Decor about how their tile guys (ie.Chris and Craig) have been doing tile for 15 years and they are the best. That is just not true. They are slow and not accurate. When we complained to the owner-we were told that we were just being "knit picky". Our tile was chipped, and the decorative border was crooked. We spent a lot of money and expected a quality job and that is not what we got. DO NOT HAVE TILE INSTALLED BY their workers, YOU WILL BE SORRY. We bought carpet through them and while the carpet is ok, the pad is also not very good quality(we bought the medium grade pad). The one positive thing I can say is the carpet installers that they contracted to install the carpet did a very good job and even cleaned up after themselves. read more

Taxes can be a good thing from time to time. With my Tax refund I received this year I decided it was time to upgrade my Kitchen. I checked around a few places but decided on Floor Decor. They came out gave me an estimate and was very thorough in what they would be able to do. I went and bought a new kitchen sink on my own. The installer came up and made his template and used the instructions from the sink that I bought so that he would have an accurate measurements etc. The installer called and scheduled a time that worked on my schedule and came out on time and was able to complete my job in 1 day. I was extremely satisfied to come home to a brand new kitchen. I then called my plumber to do the rest of the hookups for the sink and was back up and running in a few hours. This all happened to be on a Friday and I had no issues. I was able to use my new kitchen and sink all weekend without any issues. Very Satisfied and would recommend to future customers. read more

The precision installation was fast - it was completed before the estimated time - an impressive achievement considering the old floor had complications including separate demolitions. Appliances and large items were moved and returned without additional cost. Other flooring stores charge extra for this service as well as complete baseboard replacement. Tim Helton, the salesman from Floor Decor, was professional and kind, answering my inquiries (phone and text) without delay or deception. He brought tile samples to our home and personally checked up on the work as it progressed. We visited the store three times while deciding what tile to use, and each time Jose gave us knowledgeable assistance. The installation crew was polite, eager to please, and expert with their craft, easing the necessary upheaval of our normal routines with open, friendly personalities. Quick to help too.
