Did not have order from previous purchase ready, drove miles to get here and left empty-handed for tiles I had already paid for. People kept giving me excuses as to why I couldn't pick up my order until they finally told me that it was not ready. Plus they have a huge selection but not a lot of quantity of products. read more

Do not trust what their workers or even their manager says. I bought almost $1k of glass tile after being reassured several times by two of their workers and then their manager that they glass tile I wanted to buy was not only high quality, but just as durable and as easy to install as any other tile including porcelain tile. This turned out to absolutely not be the case. It's costs more to install glass tile, it's very easy to crack glass tile especially when you have to install shower doors/drill into the glass, and many of the tiles cracked without even using the shower.... just days after it was installed. I investigated and spoke with several other experts including wayne tile and several professional glass tile installers and they all agreed glass tile is very difficult to work with. Many of the installers would not even work with /install glass tiles bc of this... and every shower/glass door installation companies makes you sign a waiver releasing them from any damage arising out of installing doors when glass tile is present. I know another person in town that used same exact tile from this store and had horrible problems as well. I emailed floor and decor and they offered me $50 when the cost to redo it all is over $3k. I had to pay @$175 to just have one tile replaced. Then others cracked... and I paid more... then more cracked and I gave up. This store clearly isn't trained like professionals nor should they be selling these materials without actual factual knowledge of their performance and durability. This store clearly is just out to sell products and is not to be trusted. read more

Drove to the closest store to us, 3 1/2 hrs away. Needed 2 primary items, stone and bamboo flooring. Was able to walk out with stone, but had to order the bamboo flooring. Weeks and weeks go by, Finally I give a call to see where my order is. I was told my order was marked completed... hmmm. Explained my wood order was never received nor was I called to say it was in. I was told they could not locate the pallet - after a 45 min phone call. Was put on the phone w/ Raymond in the warehouse. He was trying his best to assist, even told me they may drive my order to me. I figured that was not happening. After countless hours of phone calls, being put on hold so many times and so much frustration... I finally called the pro services line, spk w/ Tommy. He did his best to work w/ Raymond on my order, there was just so much jerking around. Such Horrible customer service & Lack of knowledge. Raymond was able to get another order from a different Floor and decor location, and between Raymond & Tommy I am really hoping my order arrives. Good thing Floor & Decor has 2 great employees that actually care what happens in their store. Moral of this story, great items that are in stock, just dont order anything that you cant walk out the door with. read more

I'm in the middle of doing a laminate floor install and my local floor and decor store is the Paramus location. (Big down). So I decided to go to the Wayne NJ location to look for a few pieces that I'm going to be needing soon for this project. After a few minutes I get approached by an employee named Andre. (He's the man). He was swamped with other customers within seconds. But his level of professionalism and experience was beyond the best. He solve 3 other customers problems within seconds and attended me as well. After telling him what another employee recommended at the Paramus location, he was quick to correct that and point me in the right direction. Making my project easier and saving me a few dollars. That's what customer service should be about. The Wayne location is about a 20-25 minute drive from my house. But I'll be doing it from now on. Who ever is the manager to the Wayne NJ location, please recognize Andre for his cool attitude and excellent product knowledge. You definitely gained a permanent customer here. This place is HUGE and so well organized! My husband and I spent about 5 hours here one weekend. Albeirys is the interior designer and after spending 4 hours on Saturday we made an appointment with her for Sunday. She was AMAZING! She made the process fun and she has great taste and knowledge. In one hour we accomplished more than we did the day before. Make sure to make an appointment in advance online because her schedule is usually full. Selection of hardwood was good and the sales people on the floor were helpful. When my order did not arrive timely, I tried to call the store to check on it. Most times the phone rang and no one answered. When I finally got through after long wait period on the phone, I was told that my order was ready for pickup. My husband and I were recommended to come to this place after searching for a good tile place. Finally found Floor & Decor! I cannot tell you how much we Love this place! They have such a large selection and you can't beat the prices! Not only do they have tile and wood, but also decorative pieces, functional pieces and supplies. I have been here about 5 x so far. First visit we were helped by Karen, and Yahya. We did end up having to do a return and could not be more thankful to have to work with Ryan C. and Mynor! Ryan was so accommodating He helped us do the return. We honestly thought it was going to be super stressful and hard to go through with the return and chose a diff tile. Thankfully Ryan C and Mynor came to the rescue and helped us chose the tile we really ended up loving! These staff members are great Every visit has been great, staff are so attentive respectful . I am in the process of re-doing my kitchen and went to Floor & Decor yesterday to look at some tile for the backsplash and purchase samples. Two minutes after walking into the store, I was greeted with a smile and a offer to help me by Meagan. She proceeded to spend the next 20-30 mins with me reviewing all my options and wanted to make sure I left the store with all my options and provided me with a few recommendations to consider. Not only were the materials budget friendly. But the service I received by Meagan was by far first in class and I have never experienced that level of attentive informative customer service at any big-home improvement store. Stay away another big box nightmare in the making. At least web orders. Ordered product nothing past initial email. Had to call find out weeks ago although order marked being fulfilled was in hands regional carrier. After inquiring to no people just some automated online customer service they spit back a tracking no, hummm it does not work. So I call freight co. After many people handling my call they find a tracking no. That works... great! Mind you floor and decor has payment is gone and does not care! Now after speaking with third terminal of their carrier and three days and one month job delays, they can't seem to find my entire order and floor and decor makes me start a new case online each time with zero progress. I'm just going to my credit card co. And launching a dispute I have had it. First time and last time dealing with this terrible store. Yes, they may have good prices. However should the item not be in stock at the store and they tell you they can have it shipped from another store. Do yourself a favor and say no thank you and walk away... go shop elsewhere. I promise spending that extra money at another store will save you so much time and the headache from the cluster f*ck you will have to deal with waiting for your shipment to be delivered. From the inexperienced staff, the unorganization of how this store is run, and lack of communication between employees you will wait a lot longer than told to get your item shipped to the store. read more

Besides being well informed, providing excellent suggestions, Stephanie disposition was a pleasure to be around as we figured things out. Its like a big box store, all the hardwood, tiles are line up for everyone can see. However, the service really SUCKS!!! We are already in front of the cashier and she did the person behind us instead because there is a store associate with the customer? We been going in circles in the store, nobody even approached us. The staff are having their prolong breaks/ talks within the floor instead of helping the customers. When I start to complain an associate suddenly became friendly. One has to be obnoxious to have a service in that store. I rather buy my supplies in Home depot, service is EXCELLENT and they are courteous. read more

I wish this store had opened earlier in the year. I came to the store before starting my last of three bathroom renovations in my house. The selection and prices were unbelievable! I was so excited to see a large store dedicated to tile and flooring. I actually paid only $300 more for a beautiful marble bathroom than I was prepared to pay for a porcelain design at a store in northern NJ. I was so happy to find the low prices and the vast selection at Floor and Decor. The service was incredible as well. My sales person, Maria, actually helped me hand-select every tile so that I could achieve a uniform look for my project. She was patient and very helpful. She really went above and beyond the call of duty. My check-out person, Miguel, was also very helpful. In all, I love this store. I will definitely come back for my future projects. read more

Sadly the service at Floor & Decor has greatly deteriorated over the past year. One year ago I had a beautiful floor put in, no issues with pick up or installation. This time around I spent over 45min waiting to get a floor loaded into my car when I was promised it would be ready by 3pm. They then couldn't find 5 pieces of crown molding which one associate told me they found and needed to retrieve; while another said they couldn't even find it. Please get your story straight...Then I was promised they'd call me when they found the crown molding, 3 hours later no call. I called on the phone asked to speak to a manger I was put on hold twice. The entire time it took to speak to a manger took 30minutes. The manager gave me the same story I heard 3 hours before we have the crown molding but need to find it. Yes, I know that already so go find it! My floor is being installed tomorrow!!! I can't believe the poor customer service and communication between staff members at the store. Very sad since my last experience was so positive. read more

First, let me say that all of the store employees with whom I met were very friendly and helpful. The tile selection is good and ordering was easy. Also, Courtney in Pro Services was terrific and went out of her way to help when everything went wrong. Having said that however, my experience after I purchased a very large quantity of tile and marble, etc for my new home was nothing short of disastrous. I paid to have the items delivered to my home and two days later when I met with the tile installer, we saw that of the marble for my bathroom, I was given 80% of one type which I hadn't ordered and 20% of what I had ordered. It was clear that the two were very different and the boxes were clearly marked as containing a completely different product. However, I decided to keep the 80% even though it wasn't what I ordered and let them replace the other 20% to match the wrong ones. Then, the mason putting the ledger stone on the fireplace told me that we had only 40 corners when we had ordered 76. When I called the store, they said that's all they had (and confirmed that I had been given only 40) but no one bothered to tell me even though I had ordered and paid for almost double. In other words, they had to have known that they shorted me by half when they picked the order since that's all that they had in stock! Now, the mason cannot finish the job since the only place they have more is in their Virginia store and they have to send it here in a week or so. The mason, understandably, is going to have to charge me for having to come back for another day of work since the job was supposed to be finished today and they could only do half the job and left early. Also, the stone from the Virginia store is from another lot and may not match. There were other smaller issues as well (they calculated the wrong amount which I needed, etc) but these could be more easily resolved. Again though, Courtney actually came to my home to see the issues for herself and she should be commended for her efforts. However, the store said that the only thing they could do for me is not charge for the delivery of the additional stone which I paif for and was supposed to be in the original order! Really? Like I would pay for something which I was supposed to get in the first delivery which I paid for? If the second half of the stone doesn't match, it will be another nightmare. I am so upset and disappointed with this store. I'm hoping that they make sure the employees involved in this order don't do this to anyone else. I need a lot of additional tile for my home but I won't be shopping here again. read more

I would give them 0 stars if I could. I spent over $4,000 and purchased hardwood floors from here. First, they gave me a delivery to my area of a Tuesday then the next day when I went to purchase the floor told me Friday. We had to complain to have them delivery on a Wednesday. Secondly, 2 boxes were delivered damaged. When I called to have them switch it out, the lady on the phone put me on hold WHILE I was still speaking. So rude! After speaking to a manager Gorge, they replaced the 2 damaged boxes. I also purchased a butcher block countertop from there, the woman helping us was great but when we went to pick it up the young inexperienced boys working in the back warehouse were rude and very lazy to help us load it on the trucK. Despite all this I went back yet again to purchase laminate and tile flooring from here as I had already chosen the colors/style I liked. At check out, the guy working there said if you have a pickup truck we can just fork lift it in for you so not to waste anymore time waiting on their delivery, I asked my cousin for a favor to use his truck and have him pick up the flooring for me. When they went to get the items, the young inexperienced boys working the fork lift were having trouble loading the items. So my cousin asked them to hand load, they hand loaded the 8 boxes of tile, had my brother sign a piece of paper and left the 16 boxes of laminate on the ground and walked away! They were being slick having him sign a paper that the items were handed over. When they yelled out aren't you going to load the rest, the kid ignored them and kept walking. So my cousin had them unload the merchandise and he left. These high school aged inexperienced untrained boys working in the warehouse caused me to return everything and take my business elsewhere. Not to mention the manager Mike defending the kids instead of being apologetic. I will never shop here again nor will any of my friends or family! If you are smart you'll take your business elsewhere and save yourself the headache.....just saying. read more

The products are lovely (they don't seem to have enough stock even though the claim they do) but the service is hit our miss. On the one hand I received exceptional, I mean exceptional service from Dion when choosing tile trim. He was pleasant, professional and knowledgeable. I also received great service from a young lady on my grout selection; she gave me a much better selection than my original choice. On the other hand, the service I received at the service/design desk was a bit lackluster. The employee was flippant and disinterested but I just attributed it to youth and not liking her job. Also be careful when they tell you that they have inventory in stock based on their computer data. The actual stock and the computer data does not match and is woefully inaccurate. Be sure to request that they do a visual of the inventory before making the trip or relying on the computer information. Overall, I would say go but be prepared for hit or miss customer service. read more

I can't remember who recommended Floor and Decor to me. but I am so glad they did. We are remodeling a bathroom. It is our first remodeling project, and I was nervous about picking out everything myself. I generally knew the color scheme I wanted, but I wanted someone to help me put it all together. We made not one, but two design appointments with Stephanie. I believe she is an interior design student. She was amazing. She was very pleasant to work with, had great ideas, and had such talent for picking out materials. She made sure we were satisfied at each step. She thought of so many things I never would of, which is exactly why I wanted to work with an interior designer! Although we only bought tile, accents, and grout there, she had suggestions about paint, fixtures, etc. We had already picked out a vanity and sink, and she used the picture we brought to choose the tiles. She used our measurements and helped us figure exactly how much to buy. The second appointment, by the way, was necessary because my husband had second thoughts about our original plan. He decided he wanted porcelain instead of natural stone. She did it all for us a second time and neither time was there a charge for the appointment. I imagine that Stephanie will have a very successful career as an interior designer when she gets out of school and we were so lucky to have worked with her. Great job, Stephanie! And by the way, I was also impressed with the variety as Floor and Decor as opposed to Home Depot and Lowes, and the prices were competitive. read more
