I purposely went here having had a…read moregood experience a dozen years ago and to get some expert design help for a totally blank slate, gutted kitchen. After spending a fortune on a small, nothing unusual kitchen, i got the worst design mistakes that were like pulling teeth to try and get remedied. The consultant presented herself as an expert, then pawned me off to remote customer service which was a difficult process and in the end, nothing really got resolved to my satisfaction. Not one ounce of good will gesture, not a single penny discount and wanted to charge me more to fix a problem i kept pointing in the post design stage but was told, "believe me, it will be ok, ive been doing this a long time". Well i couldn't open my side by side fridge door wide enough to get in there. I have one cabinet above a small penninsula that is difficult to get in because of the way it opens. The microwave juts out instead of pulling the upper cabinet out to accomodate it to be flush. The consultant had all the specs for each appliance, including fridge and microwave.The cabinets, tho American made, are poor quality. I know home depot gets a bum wrap but i was very pleased with their products and services for 2 gutted/remodelled bathrooms i did subsequent to the kitchen. I should have gone there for the kitchen, would have easily saved more than half the price and likely been at least as satisfied, if not more so. Weigh your options for pricing and service, IMO, you can do much better than Kitchen Expo.

The receptionist was courteous, and I vaguely remember her connecting me to Daniella who came to the front area when she called her. Before that I wandered through that showroom admiring the display of fine and interesting furniture and the overall ambiance. I was totally taken in. Daniella arrived smiling graciously and very matter-of-factly welcomed me into the fabric area. OMG! The array of samples, the tones, colors, variety and quantity. I am still surprised and proud that I walked out there with a decision. The end product rocks! Let me tell you why. Daniella is an expert at what she does. LISTENING to what I described as my need and interest. That is the skill of a professional. It must be understood that I was in fabric heaven and had to choose my robe, one prettier than the other. All I can say is Daniella had her head on in spite of my euphoria. I can go on but suffice it to say It was a moment at the fabric beach. The process of ordering/supplier contact was handled by my trusty designer. My take home orders were to take the materials with my cushions and pillows when they arrive to my upholsterer. Daniella's art of cording by size and effect also helped make the final project what was beyond my expectation. My home is a sweeter more beautiful living space than before. Daniella even understood and supported my idea to add motif planning with tiling that sealed my decor. I regret not paying her separately. .... And I did not overspend!!!!!

Mike did a great job with our kitchen layout, Glenn and Don communicated well and the installers did a great job. The installers have excellent craftsmanship and are genuinely nice guys; they want you to be happy with the final product. Our job was finished in Aug 2021. We are happy with the final product and our kitchen looks great. A few items to note: 1. Mike is an awesome designer and nice guy but we needed to chase multiple times to get our plans after our deposit was paid. Mike had to personally drive over to get plans to us for a meeting with our general contractor which added additional stress. Communication and follow up could be improved. 2. Get installation costs in writing in your contract to avoid the actual cost being over what was verbally communicated. We ultimately arrived in a good place but the back and forth on this added stress. Would recommend HK&B.

There work was careful, extraordinary, fast and beyond reasonably priced. They not only made us a great counter and backsplash they installed it with ease. The difficulty of our space is there isn't a flat or straight wall in our 1929 apartment. These guys cut a piece of stone perfectly for us. From initial conversation to measurements to two installs within one week (first counter then the backsplash) these guys were easy to deal with. Roger is great, his office staff quick to respond and clearly one of the best decisions of this whole process to use him! Good? Call him - NOW!

Devinn Bua did the showroom and onsite consultation; Dean Bua and Jimmy did the renovations. This was a complete gutting, all sheetrock removed, soffits removed with plumbing relocated, doorway into dining room widened by 4', doorway into foyer widened by almost 1', new upper & lower cabinets & floor, all new electrical. Aside from some dings caused by the cabinet mftr's packing skills, the job went flawlessly.
