I came to Floor & Decor to buy grout to fix some cracked grout in my shower. I was greeted upon entering the store and an employee offered to help me find matching grout. We were able to find a matching product quickly and I was on my way in under 10 minutes. I don't think the price I paid was unreasonable, but it was not an amazing deal. The grout I saw at Home Depot was more affordable (but unfortunately could not find the right color there). The man who helped me was a little abrasive and condescending towards me, and made me feel stupid about the questions I was asking. I am not a professional tile installer so I did have some basic questions about the process. I wish I was treated with a little more respect. The other negative about this store is they do not answer the phone. I tried to call a couple times before going into the store in person, and the phone just rang for minutes on end. If you know exactly what you need and how to do everything yourself, go here. If you're looking for superb customer service, I'd recommend finding another tile store. read more

I have had an amazing experience with Floor & Decor! I am remodeling a bathroom in my house and chose two beautiful tiles, one being a glass tile. I ordered and paid the tiles only to find they didn't have enough for my job. A woman named "CARLA" searched all the stores and found them within a short time. Soooo, I was browsing around for 30 min trying to get my wife to choose the tile she likes . Finally it was time to pick up everything and get it ready for a pick up later in the day . There was an internal error for one item between store transfers When the manger Tim came up and was less then willing to help as I explained and showed my receipt with the purchased product. I AM OBSESSED with our new laundry room makeover! Floor and Decor was my one stop shop for both the tile and the butcher block countertop! I went ahead in person to check out their inventory + pick out the tile and butcher block that I wanted. Then, when we were ready a week later, I placed the order online in the morning and picked up the goods 3 hours later! The team working was so friendly both times and I couldn't have had a better experience. I also went back to pick up some sealer and again, they had it at the pick-up counter waiting for me! They have an incredible selection of flooring, countertops, tile, etc. Just walking in here makes me want to renovate our entire home but hubby won't let me do that! ;) I would highly recommend them for any of your home improvement needs! Tim Woodard was an awesome sales associate! I needed to placed an order for some material for a fireplace and the material needed to be picked up from 3 different locations. He was able to track all of the material down, verify availability, and a delivery date to my local store so that I only have to make one stop for my supplies. We came here looking for specialized cement and pool rated tile/pebbles. It is definitely not something we wanted to do on a Saturday morning. As we walked into the store, we were immediately greeted by 2 lovely ladies. The lady standing by the cash register asked what we were looking for and I told her we needed stuff. It also goes without saying, no trip to any home improvement spot is complete without at least two more trips for the things you didn't know you need. Thank goodness these guys are here to make your flooring issues a breeze. Reasonably priced, given remodeling can get expensive depending on your taste, you can find laminate flooring as low as under a dollar/sf. Stocked with a great variety of tile, stone, back splashes, and whatever else you need to complete aesthetically including feature walls. Staff is super friendly and most of the inventory is in-house or you can order online for delivery. They have several locations but the one on Highland was my go to. The store set up was like a warehouse but with display stands to feed your designer creativity. For as little as $5, you can take a sample home to see if it will be the look you want. They offer classes on Saturday to educate on home improvement ideas and techniques. If you need to finance this endeavor, their financing is pretty reasonable with easy, nearly instant application process. Great prices, however be prepared for the worst customer service ever! I'm not quite sure what the criteria is to get a job here although I'm fairly certain that if you're somewhat incompetent and extremely rude, you'd be hired on the spot! Hubs and I stopped in and looked for new tiles for our floors. Luckily, we found some that we loved so we ordered it online once we knew the measurements. The order was placed on Friday and we were told they would be delivered by Tuesday -- yay! But -- what they failed to inform us is that there is $170 delivery fee, even to drive 5 miles. In a time such as this, that hefty fee would've been nice to be made known upfront. Due to the steep delivery charge, we decided to cancel the delivery and pick up our materials... that's when everything went downhill. Apparently those that work in the warehouse do not communicate with anyone else in the store, so although someone assists you with any changes to your order, chances are those changes won't be communicated with anyone. So come Tuesday (today), I get a call from the delivery driver telling me he was on his way with my tiles... umm what?! I informed the driver that my tiles were for pickup, not delivery, and I could hear the frustration in his voice. My husband then called the store to ask what time our tiles would be back so we could pick them up; he spoke with not one, but TWO associates, who informed him the delivery driver would be back in the warehouse by noon. It's now 6pm and we're here to pick up our order and were rudely told "your order isn't here". And instead of them saying they would pull our tiles off the floor again, we had to suggest it since they couldn't think past their mask to come up with that idea. The girl in the "Customer & Pro Pickup" was beyond rude; she clearly hates her job and hates customers that much more. For your tile needs, I like the options Floor & Decor has, but the staff needs a MAJOR attitude adjustment. You would think that with being in the customer service industry that would be a "no duh" but apparently not. The only reason I even gave two stars is because of the selection and competitive pricing, otherwise, stay away. You'll be sorry you shopped here. read more

Go ahead and skip this place when you're looking to do your home improvement project. I went in a week ago to ask about tiling my patio, and the store introduced me to a company that arranged to come to my home for an estimate. When the time for the estimate came, the worker never showed up - no phone call, no email, just simply did not show up. I called Floor and Decor for an update, and they said that because the worker is an outside contractor, they have no information on his whereabouts. What's even more egregious is that they didn't even know what company I had an appointment with! How unprofessional is that?! The manager's attitude was essentially that it isn't his problem because it's an outside company. Well, no. That's not good enough. If you allow other companies to solicit business from your customers, you are implicitly giving those companies your endorsement/approval. If you are allowing unreliable companies to do business in your store, then you are also an unreliable company. It doesn't help that when I called to speak to the manager about my situation, I was on hold for 10+ minutes. Thanks, I'll be working with Tanner Materials Company, whose workers showed up right on time to their appointment. But, two stars because... cute tiles. read more

Holy home renovation heaven! This place has outstanding tile, flooring, and counter options at such a great price! They also allow you to purchase samples so you can view your options in the lighting of your own home. Came to this Phoenix location twice because they have a wider selection than the Tempe location, in my opinion. Outstanding, friendly customer service and helpful staff. Even if you're not renovating your home, this is a great place to come to dream about it and get ideas for doing so in the future. We had to drive there to pay as they would not take payment over phone. It took 4 months for 13 boxes of flooring to be delivered to their warehouse. On July 4th, they notified us that we had 7 days to pick it up or it would be sold. I made an appointment to pick up the floor between 9am and 10am. At 9am (while I'm driving there) the warehouse called to tell me I missed my appointment and I needed to reschedule between 1pm and 2pm. I ignored them, continued to drive there and picked up the flooring without issue. This place is kind of a mess. read more

I have been a loyal customer for years. last week I went to pick out floors ( which were in stock) but I decided to buy this week as my contractor wasn't ready for install. to my amazement, they hiked up the price over 40 cents a sqf and refused to honor last weeks price. That is called Price gouging and it is illegal! I will never buy from them again, which makes me very sad. They used to be my go to place. They cannot treat hard working American's this way! I will be in contact with my attorney tomorrow to see what my next steps are. I am so sorry guys, this just isn't right. I would never expect this from a reputable company just because they can get over on regular ppl. this just isn't right!
