Then Dan came to our house and spent a significant amount of time with us explaining our options, showing us samples of cabinets, and answering all of our questions. We opted for several additional options on top of our initial estimate, but we never felt pressured to add or upgrade anything. We initially had hoped to do refacing to improve the overall aesthetic of our kitchen, but we were so excited to discover some of the additional options that were offered that solved functional problems that had always bothered us! When we reached out to Better Than New, we didn't even realize how much they could do besides just refacing. We replaced all of our old, hard-to-open drawers with beautiful, easy to open, soft-close drawers. We added a pull-out drawer for trash and recycling bins. We replaced sagging shelves in our cabinets. And we replaced the shelves in our deep pantry with drawers, making the space SO much more usable and accessible for our tall family. So not only is the kitchen beautiful, but it's so much more functional. There were zero hidden fees. The work was absolutely immaculate. The team was incredibly professional. And the work was done as scheduled and on time - the entire project only took 2.5 days!! I didn't receive estimates from other companies, so I don't know how the price would have compared. I visited this store several times over a couple of months to get ideas for a renovation I'm doing. Last week I had the good fortune to meet the very competent and very personable associate Kari. Over the course of two visits, Kari literally spent several hours with me helping me select tile for two bathrooms and to assemble all the less glamorous materials (mortar, grout, backerboard) needed for the job. I've never bought tile before, so I didn't realize there are different types of grout and mortar and she walked me through the whole thing. Kari applied her great design sense while helping me to stay within my budget for the renovation. She answered every question I had to my satisfaction. When she didn't know an answer, she tracked it down. The process of working with her from start to finish was what customer service should be about. She was friendly and knowledgeable, didn't try to pressure or rush me, and explained everything quite well. Five stars for sure, and if you go to Floor and Decor on Highland in Phoenix, see if you can get Kari to help you. You won't be disappointed! read more

Our experience at Floor and Decor in Phoenix was incredibly disappointing. We were ready to spend $3,000 on tile for our next build, but the service was completely nonexistent. As we were about to select our pallet of tile, we were rudely kicked out of the aisle by the staff, who insisted we move so they could unload their forklift. This is so unfortunate as we do love their large selection of tile to choose from. We waited for 20 minutes, expecting to be able to continue our shopping, but the staff showed no regard for our time or the significant purchase we were about to make. After being treated so poorly, we decided to walk out. It's frustrating to think that we were seconds away from making a major purchase, only to be pushed aside and ignored. Fortunately, we went to the Tempe location afterward, and the experience there was much, much better. Overall, I can't recommend the Phoenix location based on this experience. If you're looking for quality service and a better shopping experience, I suggest heading to the Tempe location instead. read more

This has restored a great deal of faith and respect for the company, but I still have bittersweet feelings because it took more than 3-1/2 months for Spencer's to take accountability and do the right thing. After being a loyal customer for almost 35 years, I will shop at their store again, but with caution. My hope is Spencer's continues steping up and treats their loyal customers with the same loyalty and respect that is given to them. ******** I just want and need to give my neighbors a heads-up on the decline in trust and service from Spencer's Appliances. I've lived in my house for 30 years, so I have replaced a lot of appliances. All of my appliances were happily purchased at Spencer's. I bought a KitchenAid dishwasher in early November 2025 and absolutely loved it until it stopped working in early April 2026. I called Spencer's, and they gave me a number to call to set up arrangements for the warranty repair. I had to make continuous calls to Spencer's and their repair service throughout a 3-month period (and SIX service calls). Yes, you read that right... THREE months to get a 5-month-old dishwasher repaired. It was finally fixed last week. It was a leaky gasket. A measly gasket that was missed in 4 of the 6 service calls. Spencer's had excuse after excuse for this taking so long, yet didn't stay in contact with progress reports or apologies. There have been two times in the past couple of years that I have defended Spencer's here on NextDoor when some of my neighbors complained about their service, and now I understand what my neighbors must have gone through, and I apologize for not listening to you more closely. I have three appliances that will soon be 10 years old, so I know they will need replacing soon (as we all know, they don't make them like they used to), but I'll tell you one thing, Spencer's Appliance will not get one more nickel from me. And if I can save someone from going through the stress they put me through these past THREE MONTHS, my job is done. BTW, I'm a senior on a very limited income, so the close to $1000 (when all was said and done) I spent on that dishwasher was not an easy purchase for me, but very arthritic hands make a dishwasher a necessity for me.

During a significant remodel of our home, we relied on ProSource of Phoenix to help guide us through major design decisions and provide quality products worthy of the investment we were making. One of the largest and most important selections was nearly $30,000 in Mohawk engineered hardwood flooring (a product we were assured by ProSource would bring both beauty and durability to our home). Mohawk floor was recommended by Prosource. Unfortunately, when serious issues arose with the flooring quickly deteriorating and splintering, ProSource chose to hide behind Mohawk's denial rather than truly advocate for their customer. Instead of taking ownership or helping push toward a meaningful resolution, they essentially became paper pushers for the claim process. Two independent investigators identified flooring issues and no evidence of our misuse. As homeowners, we were left dealing with a defective product, mounting stress, and an estimated $10,000-$12,000 in labor costs, while the only resolution offered was replacement minimal material with no labor compensation. That is not what we expected after making such a substantial investment through a design and flooring professional. A company's value is proven when problems arise, not just during the sale. Sadly, our experience left us feeling unsupported and abandoned once the transaction was complete. Think twice before investing substantial money into products and promises that may not be supported when things go wrong.

I like Kohler products and was happy to see there is a showroom in Scottsdale. It is in a funny location like the backside of a strip mall, but navigation got me there no problem. Excellent customer service. Very friendly. Upon entering we were immediately greeted and asked if we wanted any water. They have so much took at from bathrooms to kitchens and even an indoor sauna but apparently this is the higher end of Kohler and the lines that have available here are different from what you might find at Home Depot, Lowes and Costco. There were so many great ideas and I love that they have the entire collections grouped together with the different bathroom fixtures and then little display areas throughout the store. Why is it that I am always gravitating towards the most expensive thing in the store? There were so many cool things like recessed body length medicine cabinets, a very cool customizable vanity, bidets (from standard to Cadillac!!) and then smart showers -- I mean if only!!! I do wish they had some color brochures to take home with you because it is so hard to see online, but I did appreciate that one I had the knowledge about the different collections and finishes I could go back home to the website and make more choices. Another area that was bit annoying is they had items that were discontinued still on display -- so you had to ask if the item was available still --- I guess twice a year they have a sale of these discontinued or floor models but he said it wasn't going to be happening for a while. The sales guy did mention that you get a better cost going directly through the showroom as opposed to ordering off the internet -- so I will be keeping that in mind. Unfortunately, that was where the positive experience ended. We spent approximately 5-7 minutes in the showroom looking at products on our own. During that time, we observed at least four employees walking around, several focused on their cell phones, yet not one acknowledged us or asked if we needed assistance. At that point, we concluded that the business must be doing well enough that it could afford to overlook potential customers. We left and drove across the street to Bedrosians Tile & Stone. The difference in customer service was immediate. We were greeted as soon as we entered, asked about our project, and an associate personally guided us through the showroom to help us find exactly what we were looking for. Ultimately, we purchased approximately $46,000 worth of tile from Bedrosians--business that could have easily gone to Arizona Tile had someone simply taken a few minutes to assist us. Based on our experience, I would not recommend Arizona Tile, particularly to homeowners or non-contractors seeking guidance. If customer service is important to you, I highly recommend Bedrosians Tile & Stone, where the experience was professional, attentive, and customer-focused.

The sofa I received does not match the aesthetic of the showroom model. It's wider and bulkier, with added pleats at the corners that make it look more rounded and frumpy rather than tailored and streamlined. I paid nearly $7,000 for a sofa I truly dislike, and it's been incredibly disappointing. It honestly looks more like a $1,500 piece from a budget retailer than the high-end item I thought I was investing in. Even more frustrating is that the company does not seem to stand behind its products. I can not in good faith recommend them.

Huge mistake after this time the attached back cushions hang like deflated bags. This is in a two adult household so very gently used. They suggested we take it to upholstery shop yes the whole sofa since they are attached or they offered 30% off bags of stuffing that we could do ourselves. Wow!!!! Zero customer service. Don't buy from this place.
