My boyfriend is flipping a house and was having a hard time figuring out one of the bathrooms. As simple as it sounds he has a set vision in his mind but materials that weren't all available. We had worked with one wall tile throughout this whole process and had to pick out other variations for the floor and shower niche. I had to go pick out flooring for my house. I entered the store totally overwhelmed by the choices that I had. An employee name Richard approached me asking if he could assist me. When I showed him the sample, I had in my hand and told him what I was hoping to accomplish in my house. He proceeded to tell me that I had the wrong flooring in my hand and then took me to show me several suggestions of what would work best, given the material and the job. Richard was so informative about all the different tiles, wood, porcelain and marbles. It was amazing. Within a half an hour I had narrowed my choice down and found the perfect tile to do my kitchen. Richard suggested products I hadn't not even considered. I ended up with a tile he had showed me. Thank you Richard! I will definitely be back for my next housing project. However if you are open for business and accepting orders taking our money then at the very least provide some level of customer service. Hanging up on customers and not returning emails and not providing updates on orders is unacceptable in any climate. Had to call Corp to find out my order is ready after waiting 6 days. read more

We recently remodeled our home. Layed new tile in the guest bathroom; kitchen and laundry room. We also were wanting to put nice wood laminate flooring in our living room and two hallways. We hired installers for both aspects of the job. These were installers with decades of experience. While installing the tile, our installer found some tiles that weren't the exact length of the others. This would have resulted in misguided lines in the final work. Upon returning the tiles, the store manager questioned the qualification of our installer AND wanted to hand ME the ruler to measure the replacement tiles! Definitely NOT interested in working for the customer. My other installer discovered from the very first box, that the wood laminate was warped and was not going to lay flat. Joints were separating and he refused to lay anymore down! My wife and I returned to the store; only to encounter another manager (Thomas) who also questioned if the product was handled correctly by the installer! Yes, this store will always look for a reason to blame the customer, rather than assume the customer is right, and examine the defective material themselves! We ended up going to Home Depot, where we also had a mix up on the erong product delivery, HOWEVER, Home Depot graciously acknowledged THEIR mistake and even gave us a $100 cashback discount! Buyer beware of Floor & Decor on East Highland in Phoenix! Management has a MAJOR ATTITUDE and instead of appreciating the customer, they will criticize the customer. read more

When we bought our new home, we did a full remodel BEFORE we moved in, to avoid divorce. lol This meant that we visited this FD location about 9 million times. We redid all the flooring, and bought our flooring here, kitchen backsplash, stacked brick for our fireplace, grout, wall tile, decorative accents and shower floor tiles for our bathrooms. There is a lot to look at here...it is overwhelming, but everything is nicely displayed and organized, and we used their designer for ideas and to help us coordinate our bathroom selections which was a huge plus. Prices were great, delivery was on time, and we were able to return unused boxes of tiles for a full refund with no problem. We were very happy with the staff and the service at this location. We love our flooring, kitchen, fireplace and bathrooms. In fact, everyone that walks into our home compliments us on how beautiful the floors are. My experience with ordering from this location was seamless. However, once our project was over, we had well over 30 boxes of hardwood floors that we did not need and each box cost around $68 each. My husband and I didn't have help nor the right vehicle to physically bring the boxes to the store, so we paid for Floor and Decor to schedule a pick up. We were told that once our boxes were picked up, they will scan each box and will refund the money back to our card. Our orders were picked up on 9/27/2021 and the driver who picked up my boxes verbally confirmed he counted 30 boxes. He had me sign a section on his work phone that the boxes were picked up, then left. Fast forward to 10/4/21 (a week later), I decided to call the store, because I haven't gotten any updates yet. They told me that by that time, the boxes should've been scanned in store already if they were picked up on 9/27. They told me they were going to call me back. I didn't receive a call back, so I decided to call again on the morning of 10/7/21 to get an update. I spoke with a lady and was told she needed to call me back, because she needed to review the cameras. She calls me 30 minutes later to advise me that she will be refunding 25 boxes. I told her my boxes were 30. She said that she will check again and she said she counted 25. I was a little upset and she said there's nothing much she can do if on the picture it said,'25.' She saw 5 rows with 25 wood floors each. I advised her that something might've happened and if I can dispute it. She told me to come to the store and ask for a Manager. I asked if I can call back and she said to call in an hour as the Managers are in a meeting. Anyway, I called in the evening around 5:30 PM and spoke with a person named Jessica and immediately asked for a Manager. She asked if she can help me in any way. I told her my situation and she said she will look into it and call me back. She called me in about an hour and told me she did see that there were 30 boxes and that those will be refunded to me on my card. I received an E-receipt a few minutes later showing a refund amount for the 30 boxes. I am grateful for people like Jessica who are willing to put an effort in resolving the customer's issues. I was honestly upset with all the customer service I received except for Jessica. If corporate is reading, please recognize Jessica in her store as she is a great asset. read more

I bought Vinyl floors at Floor and Decor store, which was a horrible mistake. The floors damages my kids skin so bad, their toes and fingers are bleeding. My son was 10 month old when floors were installed and he was crawling around his knees, shins, and feet were bright red, and the skin on his little fingers got all burned and his fingers were bleeding after crawling on these floors. My daughter is three she tiptoes, so her toes skin got rug burn marks, the skin got damage so bad that her toes were bleeding, the skin gets rug burn damage. I tried to walk on the floors barefoot my toes got damage too. Floor and Decor store doesn't care they told me that the floors are fine and closed my complain. I'm devastated. I spent $13,000 on material and installation, and now my kids have to were socks all the time otherwise their toes bleed. And sometime it's not easy to even keep sock on them because they keep taking them off, they are too little to understand that they cannot run around the house barefoot. So many different styles of flooring and tiles! Walking into the store is actually a bit overwhelming. What I was expecting to be a half-hour visit to choose new tile for my bathroom... ending up being a two-and-a-half-hour shopping extravaganza! The staff is extremely helpful and more than one staff member explained the store layout to me. They also offered assistance in designing the right look for me (a free service) and choosing products that go well together! And the prices (per square foot) are much lower than I was expecting... although they certainly can start to add up depending on the size of your project. Displays are frustrating. Signs with lists of products used, but who knows which sign goes with which display or which tile is which within a display? The employees don't. And if you like the display, how do you find that tile in this massive warehouse? The employees can't tell you. How much is a given tile per square foot? Better bring a calculator, because they don't put that on the signs for most products...you have math to do. The big isles of floor tiles do the opposite...tell you the price per square foot, but good luck matching a sign hanging 15 feet in the air to a stack of tile below. If you are looking to remodel your kitchen by installing a backsplash or you want to put down hardwood floors and get that rid of that nasty carpet, then you have an awesome place to go at Floor and Decor. They have a good selection and their prices are lower than competitors. We found a backsplash for our kitchen with prices similar to online prices. We even went to a tile shop and Floor and Decor was almost half per square foot. The only reason why I take down one star is that they are so big there is not enough employees around to help you. It took forever to track down an employee to ask questions. Since we had them add our number and name in our system, you don't necessarily need a receipt to return items. Returns are pretty painless and hassle free. read more

This place is the worst! One person sends you to another and then they don't help you. I ordered a lot of tile for a project and I wanted 3 sinks. Come to find out there was only one on the receipt. I go there today to pick up the one and purchase 2 more. Amanda in pro pick up needs a lesson in customer service. She looks it up and says I need to pick it up in Glendale and threw the receipt back at me. Also told me I couldn't add two more and had to go to another counter to do so. There's a ton of floor shops in Phoenix. I suggest you try a different one. read more

I have probably been on at least 10 trips to floor and decor and am currently remodeling my second bathroom entirely myself after retiling our 400sq ft master bedroom, while I'm pretty handy I probably would not have been able to have nearly the same confidence without floor and decor. As a woman in my 20s my experiences at floor and decor have been night and day compared to Home Depot or other home improvement stores, the staff are genuinely helpful and knowledgeable without assuming I have no idea what I'm doing or directing questions to my husband. The prices are better than anywhere else but mostly I can't say enough stuff about the staff, they really go above and beyond anytime I am looking for something that looks out of stock or could use some advice, I've always been so impressed with how nice and happy to help everyone is here. read more

Went to the camelback Floor and Decor store with my brother. He doesn't mess with online reviews, but we were super impressed with the girl that assisted us and scheduled my brother with getting an estimate. When we first walked in we were approached by a kid that worked for the same company as the young lady, Ritz, that helped us later. My brother knows some basics from having remodelled a couple homes and said that the kid was giving us a bunch of nonsense. He kept pushing for us to do a free in-home estimate and that his guy would answer our questions. He was definately rude to us after we declined. Later we were walking around looking for something to replace our old tile, Ritz walked up and introduced herself and started asking what kind of project we were doing and if we had any questions or needed any help. She ended up walking around with us for 30 minutes and explained a bunch of stuff to my brother that he didn't know. Anyway, by the end she got us set up with an estimate. My brother and I were super impressed with how upbeat and knowledgeable she was. She turned our initial bad experience around quickly. The actual Floor and Decor employees were great as well and helpful. They said they'd put our order together when we came back with a list of the materials we needed and that they have a delivery service available to get it all to the house. If you're a woman then do not shop at this store. I was trying to check out with some merchandise and I was flagrantly ignored three times. Example, a man who appeared to be a manager, opened a register for the male customer in front of me. After he completed the transaction he closed the register without acknowledging my existence. I put the merchandise down and left. So, I suggest driving a little further east to The Tile Shop. It may cost a few extra dollars but the merchandise is better and the customer service is much, much better. FYI, this is the 21st century: women have money too. read more

I have been shopping here recently for a remodel I'm doing and have found the prices and service to be great, but recently I had an experience that really showed clearly what that looks like. I called ahead of picking up my flooring and it was close to closing time. Britton placed an order for me and got it pulled and ready for delivery within an hour of closing and it was amazing. A manger (I think Erin) helped make an order adjustment on qty last minute in-store) and Amanda helped me with getting it loaded. Moreover, she warned me my truck wasn't rated for the weight of my shipment and I misheard her on the amount of overweight. When we loaded the truck it looked very overweight and she confirmed the numbers with me and I changed my mind on driving home overweight. Had they- I could have moved the demo and my house would be in 1 piece and I would have appliances. now today they can't confirm it was on the truck for an 8pm deliver to the store. totally unacceptable they have had my money for 3 weeks and I still have no tile and nobody can confirm when it will arrive. the designer who assured me she would update me today wasn't even working. instead of them updating me I am taking time out of work to have to chase them. read more
