Great store and selection. But hire your own installer and don't use one of their recommended installers. We purchased hickory flooring for our living room and dining room. We were told that an installer with many years of experience would be doing the installation. An estimator came out to our house and gave us a bid. He said it would take two days and two men to install it. They also had to remove our existing carpet. But only one man showed up to do the installation. He was 19 and an immigrant who has only lived in the US for about a year. Therefore he couldn't speak English very well when we asked questions a he worked. He seemed to be in a hurry on the second day of installation and only worked a half day. In the living room for the last 5 feet of the flooring, he did a hasty job and it's really creaky. Especially when the room gets warm. There are large space gaps between the final four rows of flooring facing the front window. We are not happy with the installation. read more

I really enjoy the selection and having the product on hand but the customer service I receive often is awful. It feels like most of the employees are not helpful. I heard that Floor and Decor will price match, so I asked if they would match the price in their other store. I explained the other Floor and Decor store ran out of the product but had it priced for less, I even showed them the floor and decor receipt. They told me they don't match their own stores, but only the competitors? What kind of policy is that?! Another time I was returning a product because I over bought for the install. I came in with receipt, and one of the boxes was squished a little from moving it from car back to store, they wouldn't take it back. Ordered stair boards to match hardwood flooring. Notified order was ready, but upon pickup, it was not. Second trip to pick up, only got a partial order, and the third trip, one board was the wrong size. It has been impossible to get this order fixed. Calling the local store, toll free number, email and/or chat feature got us nowhere. Assured someone would get back in 72 hours or less and haven't heard anything in a week. This review is directed to the company, Installation Made Easy (IME) which is a contractor referral business. When used, contractors on the list can ONLY use Floor & Decor products. Contacted IME (you have to call them to get a contractor to come over-no internet) and the first person they sent over was nice but I missed the bid in the IME email because it's not attached. (You have to follow a link which I didn't see.) I texted the contractor and he sent a final price, no line item. When I asked for details he said "my labor is standard". That means NOTHING. Called IME and they read the entire bid over the phone. Asked for another contractor and it took almost a week to get the second person over. Called IME after a few days to ask where the quote was. They put me on hold, called the contractor, then came back to me and said "This company is deciding if they want to give you a bid." Most contractors give bids so this surprised me. It's been nearly a week since this call & I don't think they are writing a bid, but it is disrespectful not to let me know. I walked into brick & mortar shop with measurements and photos and left in 15 minutes with a preliminary quote, so I know it's not that difficult. Don't waste your time with this referral service. read more

Ian in Pro Services and Melissa have been AWESOME to work with, but just about everyone else in that store is useless, especially Corey. If you have a customer service issue, avoid that guy like the plague. He just adds fuel to the fire and doesn't understand the concept of empathy, but then again he probably doesn't get paid enough to care. I called on Sunday (10/18/20) to check the status of product that was ordered on 09/19 and should have been delivered within 3-4 weeks. Jaime (a cashier) answered the phone and put me on hold three times in a row for 10 minutes each before I was abruptly disconnected. By the time I got someone on the phone the first time (Corey), he was very challenging to deal with. Finally, I got Melissa on the phone who was very empathetic, understanding and sweet. It was difficult to be angry at that point, but I vented nonetheless. She was a good listener and followed up by emailing their purchasers to find out why there was a delay until Nov 4th. I explained that was unacceptable and that the product needs to be delivered ASAP. (Project starts on 10/26). Based on my experience, I will be hesitant to do my remain 35k worth of projects with Floor & Décor, and will likely work with contractors directly and get product from Home Depot, where they seem to care more about their customer. read more

I went into Floor and Decor in Everett feeling very dejected and discouraged about picking out the tiles for our remodel. I'm not very good at putting colors, textures and so on, together. I second guess myself constantly. Then along came Maddy. My tile guru. I can't say enough good things about her. She not only asked me the right questions, she had the right answers to my questions. She put together tiles and colors and textures that were exactly what I wanted and didn't even know it. She was never pushy. Never put off if I didn't like her suggestion, she would ask another question and have another great idea. This was a horrible experience. We went in to pick our bathroom tiles. We found what we liked ordered and paid for them. They were supposed to pull our order on Tuesday and we told them we would pick them up a little later. Well life happens and my hubs went to pick them up Wednesday afternoon. NOT EVEN PICKED. Hubs had to wait around for at least an hour at the loading dock. He finally got them. When he got home and unloaded them the order was short some tiles and even thought the guy at the pro desk said it was all in stock, our shower floor tiles where not in the order. Now we are going to have to go back to get those in 2 weeks. Also they loaded up the WRONG tiles. Now our remodel is stalled. The staff is not very attentive and it takes forever to get help. Mostly they stand around chatting. The cashier was extremely rude. I am not happy with floor and decor. They have wasted our time. read more

So about 2 months ago I decided to check out this HUGE store and I have to say I was overwhelmed, so many choices! The first time LAURA as a brand new associate was so helpful and patient helping me come up with a design idea for my shower. Long story short I changed my mind at least 3 times. Over the course of 5 or 6 weeks I was in the store probably 7 or 8 times. I was always treated like a valued customer even when I ultimately returned more then I bought and LAURA and ROSE were beyond helpful when more then once I was close to tears. My husband and I came to Floor & Decor for the Schlutter Kerdi shower system and left with tile and all the necessary components. This store is a 20 minute drive north of our home but we were treated so well by the ladies and had such an easy process of purchasing (not to mention their low prices) that we returned $332 worth of items at a store less than 10 minutes from our home because F&D had what we wanted and didn't try to up sell us. Only regret we have is not finding this store sooner! We would have saved tons of time and money on our previous bathroom remodel had we known of F&D. read more

I was then referred to little Madelyn McConville who took the time to show me what my purchases would look like. I live in Everett and I can't say how thankful I am that a floor and decor opened just in time for our home remodeling project. We ordered 5000lbs of tile for roughly half the cost (comparing with home depot, lowes and cfm). The variety is unbeatable, and since they are a warehouse mostly everything is always in stock. They also do 100% returns of tole boxes and even individual uncut tile without restocking fees, which was amazing because we returned several box of extra tile. I found the staff friendly and eager to help, so no complaints there. Great job floor & decor, keep it up! read more

We love the tile that we purchased a few months ago as well as the customer service that we have received everytime we've been to floor and decor (Everett). We returned today for basement flooring and Tony was so knowledgeable and helpful that it was amazing!!! He not only helped us with info on the different types of flooring, but he helped us later when we were loading our car and then held half of the flooring while we took our first load. The customer service sucks and when there for a curbside pickup several of the customers picking up we're told that they "lost" their orders so they had to wait while they found them. Went to Home Depot and had the same stuff and didn't have to wait 40 mins for them to find and place in truck from time they sent notification that stuff was ready! My husband and I actually really love this store, and we have spent a fair amount of money here due to a complete home remodel we are doing. At the beginning of the month we came in to purchase some more NuCore flooring as we had run out for our bathroom. Unfortunately the store was out, which wasn't a huge problem as staff had explained we could pre purchase flooring and they would call us when it came in. Perfect! Or so we thought. Over two weeks went by (after they told us it would likely only be a few days) and still no phone call. Husband and I went to the location to check the stock and what do you know! The flooring we needed was on the floor. I go up front and a cashier asks if she could help me and I inquire as to why we didn't get a phone call in regards to our order being in. All she asked was if I had the receipt, which I told her I didn't but that we have an account with the store. She walks us over to the delivery desks and states "these people want to know why we didn't call them about their order. But they don't even have their receipt" the two girls behind the desk just looked annoyed when they asked for our names and quickly said they don't call people until the end of the day. I asked when the order came in and they said last Wednesday, and they couldn't explain why we didn't receive a call the day after. All they did was verify our name and went back to their personal conversation while we waited for someone else to pull our order. The way we were treated and the customer service that we didn't receive was absolutely appalling. I will not be prepurchasing any more product if I can help it, and will strongly consider looking at other places of business for my home remodel needs. read more

Tiles selections are great and tiles are beautiful. However Customer service is hit and miss. Seems like they have half helpful and sharp employees and half not so sharp employees. The employee who picked up the phone one time couldn't even understand what the situation was after 10 minutes explaining it. Then I got transferred 4 times because it sounded like noone is allowed to revise quantity of tiles in the computer system. Finally I said you should be able to and shared the Quote number with her and she said ok her manager said she should be able to as well. Then she took down my info and helped me out. All employees are very nice. It just seems like it is not organized and most employees need training. Returning tiles- I have to assist on counting the quantities- Slow and not accurate. Counting person got the SKU numbers wrong couple times. Overall, products are nice. Just half of the employees here should not be hired without training. read more

We had an order that was late and our project couldn't continue until it came in. All of our sub contractors were on hold. The problem was that no one there knows what's going on. We were constantly given misinformation or promised things that weren't followed through. They just kept telling us that they had to wait to hear from the manufacturer because they didn't have their phone number. We would call or stop by every day to check and it was always someone different telling us they are still waiting to hear. We finally got a tracking number and saw that it was delivered. I went the next day to pick it up and the guy said it wasn't there. The fed ex tracking showed what time it was delivered and who signed for it. The man told me that no one works there by that name and he started a case number to find out where it was but it takes 5-7 days for a response. I told him that we have been getting jerked around and given misinformation for weeks, nobody seems to know or care anything about it. He apologized but said there was nothing he could do, so I left. My husband was able to call fed ex and get more information and found out that yes, all our boxes were there! So I had to drive all the way out again to pick it up. With all the misinformation and problems with this order, I would have thought there would have been a manager there to walk this through. It's very frustrating when you have had so many problems and you see the staff being loud and horsing around and you cant get your order. The people there are very unprofessional and there is no follow through or customer service. We won't ever be back. read more

I was excited for the huge selection of tile, but after an issue with a design appointment scheduled 3 week in advance (booked online, still not sure what happened), I quickly became disappointed with the lack of customer service. The first designer, who had mistaken me for another appointment, quickly walked away once realizing I was not who she was scheduled with. She told me another designer would be over in a moment to assist. After sitting there for 20 minutes and on my way out the door, the other designer appeared. She was very friendly and quick and I thought the experience was salvaged. She helped me pick out tile, but with the appointment lost, along with that were all my measurements. She told me to call or email and she would assist with quantity for the order. After 3 emails and now 5 phone calls without a single response (I even ran into her at the mall a few days after my first email and told her I had sent details), I am taking my business elsewhere. read more

The staff and customer service of the Everett Floor & Decor store is unprofessional and disrespectful. When calling to make a change on the order -- was met with a snarky tone and in a condescending manner, the managers spoke over me as I attempted to explain the situation, and continued to speak disrespectfully to me. From the first person I spoke to on the phone, to the warehouse manager and to the store manager. I've never experienced such terrible customer service, for a very simple explanation and fix. It's not worth buying from a company when there are workers that are unable to treat customers respectfully. I will be placing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as well. Everytime I have come to this place all the employees have been nice. I came here looking for tiles for my kitchen backsplash. I had made an appointment in my last visit with a designer. I bought 46 boxes of bamboo to install the floor for my house. I had to inspect every single one. Many of them are defected as the contractor asked me to return it. Unfortunately, Floor and Decor located in Everett WA didn't let me return them as they told me that they do only return for UNOPENED BOXES . Those products were not to installed as its defect. How they do the business like that? On the receipts, nothing to mention about the return only for UNOPENED BOXES . That's mean they're trying to lie customers about the return policy. We don't recommend anyone to buy their products as you can't return it with any reason. read more

My first time visiting the store. We found the tile online and I made the drive to come pick it up. It's a beautiful store, well laid out, great prices, good products. I think the problem is staff training or accountability. I came to pickup 14 boxes of tile which we had ordered and paid for. When I arrived, there was 1 other car in the loading zone and he had been loaded already so I was next in line. I checked in and was told 10-15 minutes to load. Maybe 20. Thought that was odd given that there were no other customers but I made the most of my time and looked for some vinyl plank flooring. When I got back, I checked a the counter again and she seemed surprised by my presence, like she hadn't started the process. I waited another 20 minutes and 2 check-ins before a warehouse person came to talk to me. They only had 6 boxes of my order, but had 14 of something similar that actually cost $.20 less. I live far away (over an hour) and was already late. I looked at the two products and they were nearly identical so I said "great. let's do it." The warehouse gentleman had me go to the pro-desk to change the sky. I spent the next 30 minutes at the pro-desk waiting as the gentleman wrestled with technology, bringing my total wait time to 1 hour, 10 minutes. It really is a lovely store with great prices. The staff was kind but the systems, processes, training on the software... I have never experienced anything like it. I would suggest buying something in-stock and loading it yourself. read more

I should have paid better attention to all of the bad reviews I read on line. Floor & Decor will not replace a floor if you are unhappy with the product, in our case, Luxury Vinyl Plank. We purchased the flooring at Floor & Decor in Everett, Washington. We have been dealing with them for the past couple of months trying to get them acknowledge that the floor is not performing adequately. We hired an installer with 20 years experience who was immediately unhappy with the product. We both agree that something is not right and that the floor is popping up and creaking and cracking when you walk on it. Floor & Decor hired a carpet cleaner to take pictures and review a floor he knew nothing about. Then of course, they came back and said too bad, it was an installation error. They refuse to say what is the problem but our evidence doesn't show an issue with installation. We believe it is the product and the underlayment that they required us to use. We are now out $1800 + install costs. I warn you, do not use Floor & Decor their warranty is not worth a thing. They will continue to deny regardless of the evidence. The quality and customer service is very poor, yes prices are good but that really shouldn't matter. read more
