I had my first Floor & Decor experience over the weekend, after my contractor recommended them. When I walked in, I glanced around and was asked if I needed assistance by a friendly staff member. I told her what I was looking for, and she called for another staff member to take me to the type of flooring I wanted. He took me to that section and explained that there were three categories that they carried and what the differences were. I found the prices to be comparable with other stores I visited for similar flooring. I bought a sample of the plank for $5 to take home and see how it would look in my bathroom. He also told me that if I only end up needing two boxes, I can return the third box, if it wasn't opened, for a refund. That worked for me! Two days later, I went back to buy the flooring. Same staff member working the register remembered me. I told her I was ready to buy and gave her the SKU number that I took a photo of two days prior. She called another staff member over to retrieve three boxes of the planks for me. He also loaded them into my car. It was the easiest buying experience I've ever had. Although, I was probably the easiest customer they've had to help. Yes, it helped that I already researched what type of flooring I wanted, but I'm sure they would have helped me get to that point if needed. I was there about 15-20 minutes the first day, and maybe 5 minutes the second day. I was impressed with the non-pushy, laid-back, helpful, and friendly approach by all three staff members that helped me. My contractor was happy with my choice, as he was very familiar with the product I bought. I'm sure it will look great once installed, and I highly recommend this store. read more

My life lately has come to reviewing home improvement places, but I'm okay with that! On Saturday, we were on the hunt for interior tiling and Floor & Decor was recommended to us. This place is absolutely massive providing all flooring options from wood, to laminate, stone, tile and vinyl. If you're looking for a certain style, pattern, or color, I'd be surprised if they didn't have it. It's also a clean, well, kept, and spacious store that is very easy to navigate around. We found the Rock Ridge Ledger Stone we were looking for in the back of the store, and snagged six boxes to start with. I'd definitely call the pricing reasonable. My only caveat is that both the staff members we spoke to didn't seem to be the most knowledgable on product. We were looking for the best sealant, and each of them didn't seem too sure on the best recommendation. Good thing I have dad on speed dial who knows the ropes of renovation! We'd certainly return to Floors & Decor for future tile and flooring needs. I see a bathroom remodel in my future...! read more

PRAY YOU DON'T HAVE DELAYS! The employees are friendly and the store is impressive, but don't be fooled; they have little care for you as a customer once they have your money. Check the other reviews here as I am not the only one with issues. I purchased tile for a remodel. That remodel got delayed past the 90 day return policy. When I went to return the tile, it got declined. They use a third party system"The Retail Equation (TRE)" to approve or deny returns, and stated I must lodge any disagreement with the TRE. The TRE said they don't review disagreements except for a review for inaccuracies. I called and spoke with Brookfield store manager. She told me that she has no authority at the store level to override the TRE, and in fact said the store would be disciplined by corporate if she did so. She gave me the number for corporate to contest the decline. I called corporate, explained the situation, who in turn transferred me to a sale rep at the Brookfield Store. The sales rep told me I had spoken to everyone possible and there was nothing they could do for me. He then refused to allow me to speak with the manager and refused to give me contact information for store director or regional manager, telling me that "they don't deal with customers." I finally spoke with someone at corporate who told me that returns and decline overrides are all handled at the store level, and would send an email reminding the store of that policy. Use caution before selecting this store! If your project is delayed, you may end up having to eat the cost! I think it says a lot that a company's top management "don't deal with customers." Apparently their sole focus is on money instead! Enjoy my money! read more

I can't say enough about how helpful and accommodating he was. He knew all about the products and tools related to my tile project . We like this store. This was our 4th trip to the store, having previously purchased bathroom trim tiles. This time, we were shopping for (and purchased), tiles for our tub surround. The shopping was fine, staff helpful but not pushy. As usual, other customers were the main detractors of a good experience. Some entitled dumbass dragged their dog into the store. Now, you might say, "what's wrong with that" I'll tell you what's wrong with that. A- This was clearly a pet. NOT a service animal. B- I am deathly allergic to fur bearing animals and did NOT appreciate having my life put at risk by some rando being entitled. C- It was a very large dog. Had it gotten loose, it could have knocked over the tile displays, injuring itself or someone else. D- I was at the UPS store six months ago and some other moron dragged their yap machine into the store. Directly behind me. Where it proceeded to leap up and jump on the backs of my legs. When I was holding a large heavy box. CONTROL. YOUR. ANIMALS. Much like other people's toddlers, I was not remotely amused by any of this. This isn't Europe. Keep your dogs out of stores. read more

*Update 1/20/19 Changing my review to 1 star due to Floor & Decor's inability to stand behind the quality of the products they sell. I noticed a protruding bubble in my tile approximately 3 months after we installed the tile. Then I noticed another bubble 3 months after that. So my new flooring that I picked specifically for its durability, now has two very noticeable blemishes in two completely separate areas (so far). Ugh. I filed a claim, which was denied. I was working on my claim with "Charles" who called to get the details for my claim. It was explained to me that this was very rare (ummm I don't care how rare this is, it happened to my floor. Twice.) Charles, also mansplained to me that "tile is essentially just clay baked at a really high temperature." Oh really? He stated it was likely that the bubbles were there when the tiles were installed. (They were not, I have photos of the entire installation, and stated that.) He then incredulously asked me if I had inspected EVERY tile before it was installed. You bet I did. With the color variations in this set of tiles, I absolutely did, and I photographed the stages as the installer put it in. At this point I knew I was dealing with a clown who was just going to blame me for the malfunctions of the flooring I'd purchased. Caveat emp. Hopefully in posting this updated review, others can make a more informed choice in understanding what they may be getting into if they choose to purchase flooring with Floor & Decor. *Update* 7/8/18 I also referred my sister here, as she was doing a major remodel. She worked with Horacio, and she was very happy with her experience as well. Original review: I have visited this store multiple times for a large flooring project. Each visit, there was plenty of staff, and everyone was extremely helpful, easy to locate and able to answer my tons of questions. The selection at this store is second to none in the area. The pricing was competitive compared to other stores in the area. They store your purchases under your phone number and it makes returning unused/uncut tiles a breeze. read more

Where is the option for 6 stars?! Look out Home Depot, Menards and Lowes, this is the new go-to home improvement store! My visit was actually fun and refreshing yesterday. I had stopped in this store a couple of times. The price & selection is second to none!! I have a newly constructed 4 X 6' shower, that I needed tile for. I saw a shower on Pinterest that I loved! Walking around, I happened to spot the exact tile I was looking for! My husband just remodeled his entire bathroom with tile for the shower & floor, from a local Flooring place & it cost him $30,000, with installation. I purchased all of the tile, grout and caulking I needed at Floor n Decor for, get this...$593! I found someone to do an amazing job installing it, for $2800. Total project price of $3,393! I would highly recommend this store!!! The only downfall was that they underestimated the amount of tile I needed, so I had to make a 4 hour trip back there, from the location of my project, because no one else carried the same tile! read more

Most Extremely disappointed with Floor and Decor. We had purchased tile to redo two bathrooms in February. Due to Covid-19, our contractor was not able to get the job done as soon as planned. Finally got done yesterday and went to return the unused tile today. I was informed that since it was past the 90 days for refund and past the 120 days for in store credit, they could not take the extra tile back. I was told that they were open during this time and therefore I could have returned it earlier. Did I mention that they had recommended getting 10% extra and this was about that 10%. I fully understand the return policies under normal circumstances. But, we are far from living in normal circumstances. After talking to a manager, the best they could do was to give me a $50 store gift card. Not sure what I would use that for as I can't imagine going back there. The returned tile, which they gladly took and will probably sell to the next customer at full price, should have been a credit of over $650. Way to go looking out for your customers during this time of "new normal". I will let my friends know what great customer service you provide! Is there a rating lower than a 1? read more

Floor & Decor has a great selection of tile. We are in the middle of a full home renovation. Allison, the design manager, is incredibly helpful, and has some great ideas. She took her time with me and offered great suggestions to stay within my budget. She was VERY PATIENT with me and my many changes of mind ;-) The other employees in the store are very nice and welcoming as well. read more

My husband and I went to "Floor and Decor" on June 16,2018 @12:40 pm to purchase some tiles for our kitchen backsplash. I had an idea of what we wanted. I was approached and asked by employee her name is Mikayla "Do you need some help with a smile." From there on she found exactly what we needed. She took the time to show us the difference in the grout ...the glitter and the plain color. She took each piece out and matched it up to our tile. As a customer when I go into a store this is what I'm looking for ...assistance with my projects. I am so thankful to Mikayla!!!! We walked out spending quite a bit of money but the trip was awesome well worth it and we was in and was out!!Thank you Mikayla!!! She was awesome and helpful-and kind and very knowledgeable!!! If I personally owned or had investment in a "Floor and Decor" franchise. I would want more employees like Mikayla. If they dont have your flooring in stock dont plan on getting it anytime soon. For a company that says they carry so much in stock they have promised dates of delivery and then unapologeticly change it. For thier constant screw ups they should be discounting thier product but besides one person there they have incompetent help. We were in a particularly strange situation, we bought a camper in Florida and while prepping it they ripped our flooring. We were leaving to pick it up in 2 days and they asked us to pick out flooring at one of your stores as they were close to one in Florida. We drove from Green Bay to Brookfield to take a look at stock vinyl plank and none of the same colors are stock between the 2 stores. Enter your sales associate Joel! He was so patient with us as we asked him to look up just about every color to see if it was available in Florida. He went above and beyond the entire visit! It was like our problem to find the right floor became his problem. I can't tell you how pleasant he made our less than ideal situation. I truly wish more businesses had employees with such great customer service! Kudos to him and to your store for employing such an asset! I'll be saying nothing but great things about your Brookfield store. My wife and I are remodeling a bathroom. The first time we were there we met Ricardo Hernandez( Designer). He guided us through some choices for both wall and floor tile, and was able to provide a layout and design service, that gave us a visual of what our bathroom would look like. We ordered tile online. It said we could pick it up the next day after they email us. They never emailed. 2 days after the order I emailed them and was told they had to order it from a warehouse, even though it said they had enough in the store online. They suggested calling customer service. Left a call back number with customer service and was never called. Emailed again, and asked when order was going to be in. They said they would check. I waited. Nope, no email back. I am cancelling my order. Why can't they let you know when there will be a delay, or call back when requested. Is that so hard? read more

I called this store today from Illinois today to find out if they had a sufficient amount of a discontinued vinyl tile that I was interested in purchasing. All of my local Floor and Decor stores had sold out of the tile. I spoke to Devon Burks. He found out that they had just slightly over the number of boxes of the discontinued tile necessary for my project. I asked him to do me a HUGE favor and take a photo of the discontinued tile next to a ceramic tile from the store that I already liked. He did that and sent me the photo. Unfortunately the discontinued tile was too gray and wouldn't work in my space. Devon saved me a 3 hour and 20 minute round trip drive to the Brookfield store just to find out that the tile color was off. What exceptional customer service!!
