Lied about going out of business, no selection, the store is half empty, and no items have price tags or prices posted.

Wow, it's actually overwhelming to see so much home decor in one place! Really cool!

The staff customer service is a quality like no other, too. I like supporting local businesses throughout the city and will say that this location deserves all the support. From reputable knowledge to expert insight, Lisbon Ave Ace Hardware delivers value for your money along with value to the community and its customers time and time again. Their in store selection is quite vast and if they do not have something you need you can ask them for alternatives or solutions. All in all, great store.

The staff clearly enjoy being there - the banter back and forth among them always brightens my day. They are hilarious. And every time I have visited, there are one or more staff waiting right by the front door and they proactively ask how they can assist. Best example - I wanted to take advantage of a nice early November day to string Christmas lights today. The Christmas items were not yet on shelves, but the staff went into the storage and hauled out about a dozen large boxes and sorted through them to find exactly what I needed. This is the kind of hardware store that Andy Griffith would visit in Mayberry RFD.

A Columbus Day promotion caught my eye, so I headed for the Burleigh location to see what I could see. A most helpful salesperson asked the usual qualifying questions and answered a few of mine. She let me wander around on my own, sitting in several different models. I found exactly what I wanted, even in the right fabric and color, except the danged thing was sold. She priced out ordering such a chair and sent me home with three fabric samples. Over the Columbus Day weekend, I mulled it over and on Monday, returned the fabric samples and placed the order. The chair was delivered this morning. The crew, faster than Santa's elves, had the old chair out and the new one in place in only a few minutes! Watching the old one go down the stairs and out the door was almost traumatic, it was like saying goodbye to an old friend. A very old friend who was threadbare, had his stuffing hanging out, and a lever that didn't work right anymore. Hmmm, sounds familiar for some reason. Anyway, euthanasia seemed the kindest thing. As I sit here, snuggled in my new recliner with my feet propped up, I have to tell you my experience with La-Z-Boy was positive. From browsing to taking home fabric samples to placing the order to delivery, everyone was helpful, friendly, and professional. The delivery crew was friendly and most helpful. They were efficient and remarkably quick. If you are furniture shopping, the gallery is filled with lots of merchandise that aren't recliners, even though the name La-Z-Boy conjures up images of Grandpa in his recliner. (And I'm not posting a photo of me in my recliner, either, you'll just have to conjure up the image.)

Title: DON'T GET THE FLOOR MODEL…read more I give this business a 3 for the sales interaction and a 1 for the product. Here's my story. I went to La-Z-Boy Furniture Galleries in Wauwatosa on a quiet Sunday afternoon. The sales associate listened to my needs: I'm a retired senior, so I needed a manually operated chair with a small footprint that I can read in and sleep in as my back benefits when I stay in a neutral position. He also told me a bit too much about his own needs in a recliner. Eventually he directed me to a floor model that was on sale for around half price. I liked the style and color. It's very hard to get a feel for a chair in 5-10 minutes, esp. when you're going to sleep in it. I also didn't realize that floor models, as they're not full price, are not returnable. That choice has really soured my opinion of the brand, as I'd rather have spent more money so that I could return a chair that is unsatisfactory instead of wasting money on something I cannot use for half of its intended use. I cannot read in this chair. I can use it for about 20 minutes, but it either folds me up too tightly, aggravating my hips, or reclines me too much. Additionally, I've determined that this chair is aggravating my sleep apnea during nighttime, possibly because the head of the chair is puffy. I'm short, so I think the puffy head hits me differently and causes my head to move forward, blocking my breathing. My Apple Watch says my instances of sleep apnea have increased dramatically. In my old, ratty recliner, which was firm (not puffy), I didn't even have to wear my CPAP. So it's back to wearing the CPAP at night. To wrap it up, the delivery service was very good. The staff who delivered the chair were quick and professional. All in all, it's been a very disappointing and expensive experience.
