With its unavailability so widespread, imagine the thrill I felt reading about the Cannibal Sandwich holiday tradition in Wisconsin. A product of German immigrants (in Germany, it can be either beef or pork served with raw onions on a roll or bread, and it is called "Mett"), it is served in many homes for the holidays, each family adding their own special touches to the flavor. There are a handful of restaurants in Wisconsin that serve it year-round, and the state's oldest general store, Kuhtz's, is one of them. It's on the menu every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, and is served on marble rye with raw white onion and pepperjack cheese, if you like. Seasoning is up to you. I was delighted with the flavor and value. The kitchen at the store is located at the back of the store side of the building (there is also a bar side which features a lot of traditional bar games, as well), and you order at the counter and they'll bring your order out to you when ready. I continued to shop until I came back to the meat department and noticed that the elderly woman was still there , she said" I didn't want to leave the area because of the GLASS everywhere" . I noticed some higher ups (management ) just standing around talking among themselves .I said hollering " Can we get some HELP over here some broken glass is on the floor" you would think the management would be alarmed, no they just ignored me until another customer, thankfully said "Hey we need some help" then omg they came over.
