Southridge Mall is deceptively ho-hum from the exterior…read more I had driven by this mall many times and in comparison with other area malls it's exterior looked painfully dated. Which, of course, led me to think the interior would be so as well. So, I really had no intention of ever stopping. But, then, ever on the hunt for awesome craft beer, I stumbled across the Explorium Brew Pub on Yelp. Local craft brewery inside a mall? Yes, indeed. Not only do they have some of the best craft brews in the Milwaukee metro, they serve some pretty legit pub grub as well. Then, I was in the area and my son needed an outfit for a school interview. With the incentive of post shopping bites at Explorium, we headed to Southridge and ended up have a lovely shopping experience. The interior of Southridge is surprisingly modern (in comparison with the exterior). The floor we were on was entirely carpeted with what appeared to be newer carpet. It also helped to keep the noise level lower than one finds at most malls. Mall shopping will never be my favorite thing. But, I'm glad to know Southridge is there for when I need it. And, that I'll be able to get a delicious craft beer after shopping. Get to it!

Food options are affordable and typical for a mall food court. The Icee's at the combination Mrs. Fields & TCBY are made perfectly, and I definitely wish I got a large size instead of a small. Service was great at the few stores I visited (Torrid, Rally House, Hot Topic, and Claire's). If you like shopping or even walking a mall, I highly recommend taking the trip to Southridge for your next spree!

First time visit to this store. I was very impressed by the array and quantity of the shoes on…read moredisplay, though my shoe size (8.5) was a bit sparse in their inventory. While perusing the many aisles, I was approached by two different sales people at different times who were very polite, offering help. When told no thanks, they left me alone which I appreciated, as opposed to some other stores that have sales people that "helicopter" their shoppers. When finding one of the pair of shoes I wanted in my size, I grabbed the box and realized that it only had one shoe in it; the other was the display model. I brought them to the checkout area and asked a woman behind the register, whom I believe was the store manager, to verify it was okay to use the display shoe. I then asked her if she could keep the shoes there for me while I continued shopping. Though little was said, she was very unfriendly and curt in her response. When taking the second pair of shoes I found in my size, the same thing occurred. I picked up the shoe box in my size and discovered that it, too, was missing a shoe and the other was the display model. I also brought this to the register with the same lady store manager and said, "Would you believe that both shoes I wanted to buy today in my size were used for the display? Isn't that funny?" ... referring to the coincidence and irony. Apparently, my comment irritated her because she made a face at me and rudely admonished me with some garbage about their inventory and store policy. The store has a large parking lot and shouldn't be a problem parking. All-in-all, this store deserves at least a four (4) star rating, but the fact that this woman behind the counter and most probably the store manager was so unfriendly, surly and rude to me, they get three stars.

Our experience here was ok. They have a large variety of Skechers to choose from, yet somehow we didn't find anything we were excited enough about to try on. We also expected their prices to be more of a bargain, when, in actuality they're pretty much what you would pay any where else in town. The whole vibe of the store is a bit haphazard and while there's tons of stock, there's not necessarily tons of stock in a variety of sizes (ie: not all sizes were represented). All in all, a bit of a ho-hum experience. I wouldn't likely make the trip to Greenfield for it when I can find Skechers at similar prices at other retailers closer by.

It's always beautifully decorated no matter when you visit and plenty of signage to keep you informed of seasonal events. The Oak Creek farmers market is held at Drexel square every Saturday from 9am-1pm in the summer and one I've been to a couple of times. This farmers market has a variety of flowers, fruits, vegetables, honey, cheeses, meats but also a number of local artisans selling their creations. Something for everyone, from jewelry and lotions to soups and jerkies. There was even a live band playing! We opted for a yummy cold brew before picking up some cheese, meat and veggies to fill the free oak creek farmers market bag we received along the way as we walked past the vendor tents. The area was clean, people were friendly and everyone seemed to be enjoying the lovely day at the Oak Creek farmers market. It's worth stopping by to see what local farmers and artisans have for you!

Several of the storefronts were unoccupied, likely due to the aftermath that was 2020. It is definitely worth checking out when the weather is nice and you are looking for something new to experience. Come hungry, most of the restaurants have outdoor seating and it would be a great place to enjoy the warm sunshine :)

Stan's has the old-school charm of bygone era department stores with modern options for work,…read moreathletic and casual wear. This isn't grandma's shoe store. Or maybe it is, she'd love it. But us middle aged and younger folks will also enjoy it. Why? Because the staff actually helps you find shoes that fit correctly. I was here many moons ago to buy work shoes. Something professional yet comfortable. And flat, since I can't wear heels. By golly, they found me a Goldilocks shoe that I never would have located on my own. I bought 3 more pair after that as they wore out, no need to change perfection. So here I am, years later, looking for a comfortable, supportive casual shoe to help alleviate my pain. I was asking for a lot, but the gentleman who helped me found the perfect shoe. I wanted to cry, my feet immediately felt like they were being hugged by clouds. The staff at Stan's did it again. Now, it's not magic. It's having someone who helps to find your actual correct shoe size. For 20 years I have just assumed I was an 11 or 10.5, sometimes wide, depending on the brand. Turns out that I've been purchasing shoes a half size too large. I used to love a slightly roomier shoe, I thought that's how it should be. But my recent two pair that I have purchased have literally saved me. They are the correct size, they offer actual support, and they have a generous cushion to them. My knee and foot pain have gone from an 8-10 down to an occasional 2-3. Will Stan's work a miracle for your feet? Possibly. If you've been buying the wrong size forever like I have. But in general I have only had positive experiences here and so far zero complaints. As far as price goes, I have found them to offer the exact same price as I would have paid buying directly from the shoe maker online. For example, buying from Hoka directly costs the same as buying from Stan's. The difference is having them now versus waiting on shipping. Stan's will have occasional sales, but I have not compared pricing for those. So when it comes to value I'd say that yes, Stan's is of comparable value.
