Bayshore is a nice outdoor mall with ample free street parking inside the mall and parking lots. I love to go to Eyebrow Envy to get my eyebrows threaded and I love shopping at Paper Source, GAP, Apple, ULTA, Kohl's, and many other stores. I do wish there weren't so many vacant storefronts but I understand malls have changed over the years, which is unfortunate. Bayshore also offers a variety of restaurants, including the Cheesecake Factory, which many of my friends love to go to for their large menu and delicious cheesecakes. My one negative remark that I will make is that I do not like to go to this mall after dark. It doesn't feel very safe to me, so I stick to only going during the daytime hours. Oh... and there is that one time the parking garage collapsed in 2023... I never park in the parking garage- I never liked them to begin with, even before that happened. read more

Bayshore is a hidden gem on the north east side of Milwaukee that we need to remember! It has changed quite a bit over the years, but they keep innovative by constantly changing the courtyard, adding new trendy shops and making a family friendly. I was sure I wanted to check out this zoo of an outdoor shopping mall with tricky parking, but before I could come here, I had to make my Bae sure. It's one of those malls of the future. You know the ones. The ones which are outdoors and full of high-end fancy shops, expensive and full of suburban and wealthy folks - and they even charge you just to park along the streets here. The Victoria's Secret store here is pretty nice and had some good stuff for my bb, and this is the kind of place you shop if you don't want to hang out with all the common folk at the ordinary mall. I'd give a higher rating if not for traffic, trickiness getting in and out off the main road and highway, and of course the parking situation. I just can't help imagine how nightmarish it must be walking around here in winter time though - let's be honest. And it's pretty close to the lake so the wind is going to make it even colder. Who ever is in charge of this malls legal team should calling the mall manager and demanding the mall close on days when they cannot provide adequate services to make sure the mall is safe for folks walking thru. read more

I really appreciate the variety of nice stores here and the pretty green spaces to sit and enjoy a sunny moment. There are a few restaurants that have outdoor seating. Definitely worth stopping to walk around and shop and go to Trader Joe's as well. In summer they have movie nights on the big screen outdoors. read more

What is a Southern California style Galleria doing in Milwaukee?!?! I have no idea. But Bayshore Town Center has me hooked. Why? Because I do my banking here. I have held my fun, part-time job here for over 8 years. There are several restaurants; Applebee's is open late for those of us who work past 10pm. There is Kohl's, a store that has mastered the art of marketing. And Trader Joe's, which is truly amazing. Yes, I hate the roads the go through the mall; in a true Cali Galleria the streets are blocked off for pedestrian-only traffic. Yes, I hate the parking structures; they are inconvenient and you can only find available parking on levels 2 or 3. I have also witnessed several parking lot accidents. Yes, I hate walking around the mall in the fridge cold, snow, and pouring rain. Yet, I keep coming here. Mostly because I enjoy my job here. And Trader Joe's. And they Kohl's cash they keep giving me. I have so many ideas for upgrades to this mall, such as making the "roads" for pedestrian traffic only and upgrading the awnings so customers can walk from store to store without being snowed/rained on. My idea is to extend the awning all the way across the road so visitors can walk a little more comfortably from store to store. Bayshore should add some new popular stores to keep things "hip" and stylish,... I rarely visit the stores located inside the original mall. They also need to up security to prevent unsupervised teenagers/delinquents/etc from reeking havoc at the mall. I don't see the need to card me, an employee of the mall, wanting to go to a bar/grill at 10pm but the same staff person letting in girls who were clearly under 21 and not carding them after me. A solid 3.5 stars but until things get under control I'll going to have to go with a 3 star rating. I really want to love you Bayshore, but you have some work to do!! read more

I hate the design of this mall so much - who green lighted the awful layout? If you are a shopper walking thru the "town" you are constantly dodging cars or cutting thru dimly lit parking garages and deserted passages. If you are a driver, what a clusterf***! Bayshore is not aesthetically pleasing inside or out, it's a total hodgepodge. Whoever designed this should head down to Oakbrook Center or Old Orchard and see how it can be done right. Two stars for attracting new stores to the area and for rehabbing a mall that was sadly in need of it. The concept is good in theory but terribly executed in practice. read more

This is a nice outdoor shopping mall area that isn't too small, but just big enough. It has stores for everyone such as Victoria's Secret, White House/Black Market, an Apple store, Lens Crafters, and more. There is a food court and play zone for kids. There's lots of small eateries,a Trader Joes, and plenty of restaurants as well. Some of the places here are CPK, a bbq spot, coffee stores, and BWW. It's a great place to hang out, walk around, and enjoy when the weather is nice. read more

Sears was undergoing renovations, food court selections were spartan at best really enjoy Rocky Rococos,they also have a variety of choices around the area for all types of foods BWW was a nice sports bar. Bar Louie was over priced "barf"ood and slow for service many vacant stores, parking for free in the structure pay meters for street spots. Small Town center mall design was marketed across America with the attraction being able to live in a condo and shopping within walking distance and for the instant messaging generation where time is too important to park one time and walk throughout a mega mall to get from store to store. Sad to see the retail business fail during the past 10 years but without constant innovation and being able to change to meet the needs of the people. read more

Fun to walk through any time of year! I don't get to visit often so I'm usually surprised to see new stores and eateries to try out. The indoor mall changes around a bit too so don't forget to walk in. Not all stores are accessible from just the outside. Parking is at a premium now since the holidays are upon us. However, if you park smart you will be rewarded. Everyone wants to go in the structure near Trader Joe's or the one that you're dumped into when exiting the freeway. Embrace the cool outdoors by dressing warm and parking in an outlying lot on either end, Near Kohls or Cheesecake Factory. No one wants to park in the elements, so you will win at parking. Less hassle overall if you ask me. During summer it's a lot of fun to stroll around and people watch. There are morning activities like yoga in the square, and activities for kids in the summer. Most dining establishments have sidewalk seating so you can enjoy your food in the sunshine. I will travel here just for the gelato in summer. In winter I look forward to the lights strung up and holiday decorations everywhere. On light snowy days it's almost magical. Cold, but magical. read more

Not an avid shopper, I still like this mall overall. The stores are okay and relatively easy to get to. I know what people are saying about parking and signs in the other very negative posts, but people -- get a grip! It is a Town Center. Favorites for me are Trader Joe's, Vitamin World, Devon, Cheesecake Factory, and Banana Republic. On the way to those, I sometimes pick up one or two items that I spy in a window. The roads in the Town Center are a problem, though. I drive a small car, but still find myself playing chicken with the big SUVs lumbering down those narrow lanes. Too many of the intersections are blocked by ill conceived landscaping. In another part of the world, this traffic plan might work, but the unaware meandering of shoppers puts me on guard and them in danger. Handicap parking is minimal and distant from actual places you'd want to shop or dine. Snow removal is somewhat lax as well. read more

At least when you walk into the indoor area which is called the food court and the most expensive movie theatre I've ever been to is in there. When you walk into that indoor area it's a bit depressing. It's like the section that was forgotten. I do spend most of my time at the Barnes and noble, sur la table, and trader joes. An al fresco mall... in Wisconsin? It's true. And it's a little, well... strange. See, our winters are the stuff of legend, glory, and song are made of, and not in a good way. Our winters are brutal, but Wisconsinites? We're hearty folk. ... but who in their right mind patronizes an outdoor mall in winter? Winter is also approximately 8 months long here. So, -1 BIG star for this ill-conceived conception, realized. +1 star for a few local joints playing amongst the big boxes, though: Colectivo, La Coppa Gelato, Sprecher, Neroli... -1: people drive through the mall via roads that cut through the mall and they can then park on said streets. I'm not sure if you can get a "real" ticket at those meters or not, but it sure does make things awkward for the walking patrons and parkers alike. Parking's also kind of a nightmare, especially when it's busy, because even then that structure is hard to park in. (I almost ALWAYS park in that weird structure.) +1 star, as this is the closest mall to my current homestead. +1 more star because jobs, I guess. In a nutshell, I like that I can do some more essential big box shopping here (Victoria's Secret, J Crew, Apple Store, Neroli, Boston Store) but I definitely don't find myself here too terribly often. EEK! I can't believe I'm giving a shopping center three stars. I'll echo the feeling that many of my fellow males express when the word "shopping" is mentioned. Walking around on an aimless, nomadic spree with no target in-sight, but to be amongst stuff and wait for something to perk my interest and drain my bank account is not my idea of a good time. I will say, though, that Bayshore Town Center is tempered to my tolerance level. Maybe because its mix of an indoor/outdoor feel that breaks up the teeny boppers and mall rats. I don't feel trapped going from store to store. The large center meeting place is a hit with the kids in the summer enjoy a dancing water fountain to help deal with the heat. Plus, you can sit outside and enjoy a favorite drink and people watch. Biggest likes: There's plenty of parking when you find the lot/garage that suites your needs. Beautifully decorated during the Christmas season with a large tree and dazzling lights. Not to mention holiday music plays as you make your way through the center. Decent selection of restaurants to choose from The Apple Store- Gotta love me some Apple! Easy access off of I-43 iPic Theater- Lots to do from bowling and grabbing a movie What requires tolerance and room for improvement: While I find great value in Trader Joes, I have to say the parking is ruthless. Tight, cramped, and often with a row of cars waiting for someone to back out and take a spot. Some of the passage ways that run from the parking garages to the center are a bit freaky. They lack plenty of light and create a bit of creepiness I can't stand the inside-- I hardly go in unless I'm off to shop at Boston Store or Sears. The food court is blah with a dingy atmosphere I could list more pros and cons, but overall Bayshore Town Center serves my purpose when I "have" to shop. And, they do plenty of events all year long. I'm glad that they invested in the previous dismal place to make it what it is today. It's not perfect, but it works. read more

So. We can all agree that Bayshore was a long-suffering, poorly done mall, and that something needed to be done with the space ... right? I'm not convinced of that. Take the best of all bad ideas: 1) A faux- mini town square, or maybe even "small town", that resembles no small town I ever recall having seen, populated almost exclusively with chain stores, 2) A revamp of an existing mall that is a historical disaster and now largely vacant, at least it seems that way to me, 3) Fail to account for the fact that we in Wisconsin live in weather that makes it annoying to walk outside approximately half the year, 4) Top it with narrow streets with metered parking spots, oh, wait, no, 5) *Top* it all with luxury condos, for those who would want to live in this suburban fantasy of what small town living is like. It's like someone actually worked at it to make this ugly eyesore that includes faux-brick facade designs to make it "look" like a little town. Okay, fine, I don't care too much about that, but they did it in a way that you are forced to walk outside to reach many of the stores. Look, it's almost April, it's still snowing. I don't want to have to park the car in a lot two blocks away and trudge through the cold and snow to visit a store. Ironically, the addition of a parking structure for the portion of the mall makes that very pleasant to visit, but the inside mall has large runs of vacant storefronts. Bleh. read more

LOVE the stores here (Banana, Gap, VS, Bebe, Teavana, Apple) LOVE the spa (Neroli) LOVE the movie theater (iPic - you can reserve your seats in advance!) Hate, Hate, Hate the parking situation. It makes no sense to have hardly any "fake metered" parking around the stores you want to go in. In the summer, fine, it makes sense if you want to stroll around the outdoor center leisurely. This is Wisconsin, however. It's cold in the winter. I want to park near the stores or restaurant I am going to. Makes. No. Sense. Also, with regards to the meters, they are for charity. So, if you do not pay the meter and you get a ticket, you don't HAVE to pay it. But no one tells you that! Stores like H&M and Forever 21 draw in a lot of the younger crowd as well. This place drives me crazy! The main reason I even bother coming is because of the Trader Joe's (which is totally worth it) but I think it is one of the WORST designed malls I have ever been to. 1. Who builds an outdoor mall in WI? It may be cute to have little fake streets and everything but it's a total fail in the practicality department. Totally SUCKS coming here in the winter. 2. The only parking that is close you have to freaking pay a meter to use! Oh, but don't get your panties in a bunch about it because they donate a portion to charity. Ugh. This is not a mall. It is a "Town Center" which means that you will be doing a lot of walking. Or you can walk around for a little bit, get in your car and drive to the other side of the place to do more walking, but I would just walk. This place is NOT made for your walking convenience people- it is made so that you take the entire day to shop. They specifically set it up that way so that instead of popping in and grabbing what you want you will have to plan an afternoon to stroll around and spend money. (With this in mind, I continue on to my review.) They have a lot of shops. I mean a LOT! Everything from H&M, Gap, Banana Republic, Aeropostale, Charlotte Ruse, Coach, J Crew- so many! They also have the only Apple store in about a 100 mile radius (it seems). Specialty kitchen stores? Check! They have Sur La Table and even a Teavana for all your tea needs. Now let's talk food! There are so many choices! From the more upscale Cheesecake factory to the in-and-out Subway, this place has it all! My fav spots are BD's Mongolian BBQ, California Pizza Kitchen, Five Guys Burgers and Fries and Qdoba. The variety is great and the wait time is not usually that long (in general). Don't have time to eat in? Trader Joe's is around the corner for you to grab the next ingredients for that new recipe you have been dying to try. I come to Bayshore when I am looking for something specific, say an outfit for a special event or date, and have the time to invest to get exactly what I want. I think it is worth the drive if one is coming from out of town, and it is worth the miles you walk to find the higher end goods they have here. Many places across the nation have town centers like this out in unpopulated areas so that one has to drive 45 min and make it a 'destination'. Bayshore is close enough to Milwaukee that one doesn't have to do that. Take the extra time to come here and shop. read more

Besides, if the weather is bad enough to keep you from going to Bayshore, it's probably going to keep you from going anywhere just to shop, isn't it? I'd say this is the best thing to happen to life on the North Shore in the past... well, for a long while. Once a half-dilapidated crater of junk stores in dire need of making-over, the new Bayshore is a miniature capitalist fantasy land, with promising new restaurants, large swaths of pedestrian-friendly green zones, and an energetic vibe. It's certainly a boon to holiday shopping, if nothing else. My main discomfort stems from the faux-retro architectural facades. Milwaukee certainly loves new brick walls meant to look old--yet they end up looking cheap and weird, in my opinion. Miller Stadium did it, and so did the downtown convention complex, the Midwest Center. On the other hand, I do love how Bayshore's overall design pushes the parking areas out of view and still keeps them in proximity to the stores. I can't wait to watch Bayshore evolve, trying out the new restaurants and seeing what stores fill some remaining vacancies. I just wish they'd built this thing sooner--like when I actually still lived here! read more

The renovation just made it harder to find parking. The outside looks good but then you go inside and its the same old bland Bayshore. If you live in Milwaukee this mall is no surprise to you, but since I've moved to Whitefish Bay, I've really grown quite fond of this mall. I admit the concept of an outdoor mall in Wisconsin is still a bit odd to me during the winter, but I'm guessing it's working out at Bayshore. It's an extremely cool place to go shopping and hang out. The Ipic movie theater is incredible. Their VIP seating is an unbelievable movie experience. Pinstripe bowling is one of the funniest things to do in Milwaukee. There is music and videos playing while you're bowling. The ambiance of this place is incredible. Great date place!!! There are very nice restaurants as well. Deavon Seafood place, California Pizza Kitchen, Buffalo Wild Wings, and more. In the summer this is such a cool place to visit. Oh, Bayshore, you're alright. After your first visit, you know what to expect. (Hint: as has been stated 8000 times, yes, you will spend some time outside.) So you can either plan accordingly and spend a couple hours here catching up on errands and grabbing a bite to eat, or you can be a curmudgeon and complain about all the forced fresh air and sunshine. Parking, shmarking, I say. There are three free garages and several free surface lots. If you absolutely must park 10 feet from a store's entrance, then you'll just have to buck up and pay the meter. read more

An outdoor mall with our brutal Wisconsin Winters! Are they nuts? Parking near the Southwest corner of the mall is like trying to play pickup sticks with your butt cheacks. Far too many businesses crammed into this sector with inadequate surrounding parking. I don't mind parking in the sticks & trekking it in. But, when I shop at Trader Joe's I tend to leave with a cart full of goodies. Trader Joe's will need a GPS on the cart to relocate it after I'm done. The easiest parking at Bayshore can be found on the rear or East side of the mall. Till they screw that up too! read more

I like the concept of an outdoor mall in Milwaukee. It's really cute. It reminds me of Atlantic Station in Atlanta. There is plenty to do at Bayshore mall. You can go to the movies, eat, shop, go bowling, have a spa day, go to school, visit a doctor, etc. It seems to always be congested though... well the parking lots that is. You can visit on a Monday morning and still won't find somewhere close to park at your favorite store. Yes there is ample parking space in the garages, but who wants to walk a long way just to get their eyebrows threaded? My lazy behind, that's who. I'm not the biggest mall person or shopping person for that matter. I go here to hit up stores like H&M, Exquisite Threading, Sears, and Kohl's. Every once and a while I might eat at the Cheesecake Factory or Rocky Rococo's. It's also a great place to kill some free time or to entertain out of town guests. read more

Bayshore Mall has been transformed into the Bayshore Town Center, a developer-created small town mall complete with a huge Barnes and Noble, coffee shops and restaurants. I guess if you like contrived small-town shopping with almost entirely chain restaurants, this place is your deal. They have some nice stores like H&M, the much-anticipated Trader Joe's and a few new national restaurant chains, but there's something a little creepy about the Town Center idea as an idea. I'm not sure a mall is any better, and I can't quite put my finger on the discomfort, but based on the crowds at the center this weekend, it's obviously a hit. read more

This is probably the best mall I've been to in Wisconsin. It has so many shoppes, coffee houses, restaurants and bars. All that you need is here. I like that I can find the regular chain stores to shop at along with designer stores. I always grab a bite to eat around here before I head back. The last time I was at Bayshore was many many years ago when it was still only a mall. Now it is no longer a mall and I really have to say I don't dig it. Let me rephrase, I had no idea what it was like and was irritated when I was trying to find a store and had to drive around aimlessly and finally park somewhere out of the way and hike it across the whole darn thing to find the 1 store I came for, which ended up being in the mall part of the structure. Frustrating. I can see how this might be nice when it's nice and warm out and you want to stroll around and window shop but when it's cold and you have no idea where anything is and parking is an absolute pain in the "bleep", I just don't get it. I would think the stores would have a disadvantage and loose business. I know I would hate to have to "just run" to that mall to get something. It's unique and perhaps I will go back to just look around when it's nice out. read more

People knock the design of this mall with its blend of outdoor/indoor, but I can't lie to you, I love it. Parking is never an issue- hit up the parking garages on the Boston Store side of the mall and just think of it as an opportunity to do a little cardio. The only complaint I have is the difficulty of maneuvering with a stroller. I've taken my nephew a few times and I found it difficult to get in and out of some stores. Trying to figure out how to open heavy doors while pushing a stroller with a human being parked inside is not easy. Besides that, I enjoy the environment and the variety of food and shopping the mall offers is great and is what keeps me coming back. There's always something for everyone. read more

I will admit that I am one of those city people who are very uncomfortable out in the suburban hinterlands. However, when I was growing up in a small town, I loved going to the closest mall. Loved, loved, loved. I thought it would be the coolest thing ever to be able to live at the mall. Apparently now you can live at a mall. At least, you can at this one. I was visiting my mom up in Milwaukee this weekend, and she wanted to get her Talbot's on. It was Mother's Day, so I agreed. So she drove me out to this place, about 10 miles north of downtown Milwaukee. This mall is built to resemble a "town square." I'm not sure if this is the new mall thing, but I grew up around small towns, and I don't remember them being filled with nothing but retail clothing stores and huge restaurants, but whatever. So yes, you can shop at all the big chains if you want to here: jcrew, Nine West, Ann Taylor Loft, etc. Your typical mall stores The thing that killed me is that they have luxury apartments above the stores. For people who want to live in a mall. I don't know why this hurts my head so much. Part of me asks why this is so different from people who live off Michigan Ave, or State St. But then the other part of me says "But it's a MALL." So yeah. The shopping was okay, nothing unique but the sales tax is lower in WI than Illinois, so that is nice. But if you're like me, there is the danger that going to this place could cause you physical harm, either through aneurysm or stepping in front of a rabid mall driver's car as you are trying to wrap your mind around the whole concept. read more

I remember when this was being built and I moved away before I could actually appreciate the mall. When I came back here I spent alot of my time at this mall shopping. This mall has every store you could want. It has the really expensive stores for all you hoity toity people. It also has cheaper stores for the hords of high school students who seem to roam here. It also has a food court with inexpensive food. Just watch out the workers here have an attitude and are not very nice. I don't know why the teenage fast food workers have an attitude here but they seriously need to loose it. I was sick of it by the time I left. This mall also has nice restaurants though too if your not in the mood to get yelled at by fast food workers. I really enjoyed the mall. Bayshore is ok, I actually don't mind that it is an outdoor mall, but I agree that the parking situation is whack. I don't think the metered spots are necessary (just another way to milk the lazy consumer) as I have seen numerous tickets issued for expired meters, accidents, people trying to parallel park only to hit the car in front or behind the spot then drive off out of embarrassment when they realize there are 9 people staring at them and pedestrians nearly being mauled over. There is a decent selection of stores and once you are used to the layout, it's not so bad. read more

Pro-tips: -There is an age policy. Check before you go, if under 18 (or under 21 for movies). -Parking can be a hot mess, but there's space - I promise. There are metered spots on the "street" and plenty of open parking lot areas in the garages. It's also super easy to get here via MCTS bus. -Seriously, it's mostly outdoors. So bring a jacket 8 months of the year. read more

I love to walk around this outdoor mall.....on a nice Wisco day. There are several great eateries - The Cheesecake Factory, BD's Mongolian Grill, Blaze Pizza. There are also snack options - Kilwins, La Coppa Gelato. Yes, I am totally driven by food! And this place has many options to try. The shopping covers those of every type - high end to daily purchases. You will likely find your favorite store here. There are several parking ramps in the area. However, people seem to prefer to park on the street....which can make the walk to your favorite store an obstacle course. read more

In an attempt to make an environment welcoming to both pedestrians and cars, Bayshore's planners successfully accomplished neither. Now, I'll be honest...I'm not much of a mall guy. I just want to get that out there in the interest of fairness. I've always tried my best to avoid malls, but sometimes that's just not reasonable and necessity dictates a trip to someplace like this. In the last three years, I've been to Bayshore about a dozen times for different things. Every time I leave with the same sort of subterranean grumbliness. First, there's getting in. The garage on Port Washington with the really steep entrance/exit is usually the best bet but if you happen to forego that you land yourself in either the fifth or sixth circle of hell. You'll contend with waves of oblivious gaggles of pedestrians wandering aimlessly through the parking lots, Tina the 16 year old from Grafton or Cedarburg or some place that might as well be another planet who just got her license and is driving Mom and Dad's way-too-big Hummer through the narrow streets while texting and changing music on her iPod, at least a half dozen people who will try--and fail--to parallel park their cars in front of you two or three before giving up, and several people who haven't yet mastered the art of backing their land-yachts out of a parking space. If I absolutely have to come here I prefer for it to be winter. The cold and ice and snow keeps the huge majority of people away. When you become the annoying pedestrian, you quickly learn why everyone was in the way constantly. The design of this place sucks! So often I find myself walking around buildings or cutting through two or three different shops to get where I need to be because there's little in the way of streamlined paths to get from one side of the town center to the other. The faux-town set-up, as others have mentioned, is very tacky. It's supposed to be, I guess, reminiscent of a small town. I don't see it. It doesn't look like any town, ever. It looks like an overbuilt, over-landscaped, fluorescent consumerist alter. Maybe I'm just grouchy, but I can't find much I actually enjoy about a trip to Bayshore: 2/5. read more

Since my dentist is in this mall complex, I get back here every so often, and was glad when the renovation to the current incarnation didn't take a huge amount of time. And the new "parking spaces left in this structure" signs are an innovation I both appreciate and have a hard time figuring out how they implemented. I was even more glad when they added the Trader Joe's... But... It sure seems like they shoe-horned a LOT of retail spaces into a small space. Most of the stores I've been to there are small enough that you recognize the full range of products normally available in that outlet just can't fit in the space allotted. The only store where that's not the case (and we've actually made detours to come to this location for stuff unavailable elsewhere) is Kohl's. So... Not really my top choice as a mall--particularly in Wisconsin winters where you really do want to avoid walking outside between stores. read more
