The German Shepherd says he needs some money for home renovations, so the surprised new bank officer asks if he has any collateral. The canine offers up this antique artsy-fartsy thing saying it's worth a lot of money, he got it at On and On Milwaukee for much less than it's actually worth because the prices at this antique store are so reasonable. The lending officer is at a loss, this just wasn't covered in her extensive training so she excuses herself to see the bank manager for advice. She tells him "there's a German Shepherd who can talk who wants money for some renovation work, but all he has to secure it is this vintage thing I don't even know what it is, what should I do?" So the manager tells her, "It's a knick knack Patty Black, give the dog a loan." I'm sorry I don't actually know if they allow dogs in here, talking or not. They do sell all sorts of unusual art and antiques at very reasonable prices and it's right next to a wonderful wine bar and an excellent coffee shop.

Just picked up two chairs that I had reuphostered by Larry and his team! After decades in my…read moreGrandma and Grandpa living room, I inherited these two chairs in 2007. I love them - they are just the right size for my home. They moved with me from Chicago to Milwaukee in near perfect condition...and then I got a dog. She got bored one day and decided to take it out on one of those chairs. She claimed the other as her spot in the living room for comfy afternoon naps. I finally decided it was time to get them fixed, and I cannot tell you how happy I am with the outcome - the process was seamless, I completed a form online, emailed a few times about cost, brought my chairs to the place, picked out a fabric, received a quote by email, and three weeks later - paid and picked up the chair. Worth every penny to have these chairs back in peak condition for years to come.
