After graduating college, I slowly invested in Burberry suits. They are still good but style is out dated. But I can't justify $900 plus suits any more when I wear suits 8-10 times a year now. So I was in the market to update and walked into Men's Wearhouse. No particular reason, I just didn't want to spend too much money. They had their 2 for 1 sale, but in terms of quality and comparison to my Burberry suits, is it really 2 for 1? I don't know how these will stand-up to the wear and tear but we will see. When I walked in, I was promptly greeted and helped by Don Sanborn. I was happy to find a somewhat large inventory and styles and colors to choose from and typically (I am a 36 short) it is difficult to find a variety of suits in my size right off the rack. I was able to find several that actually needed only some alteration and fit what I was looking for in terms of style and color. Don was professional, listened to my needs and to what I was looking for. I really appreciated that. That is probably why I was able to walk in, select suits and get fitted and walked out in about an hour. The alterations were a bit pricey especially when it was to hem the pants length and sleeves only. Which upped the price almost $100. This alteration also took almost 2 weeks to do. I came back in to pick the suits up and tried the suits on again and noticed the pants just didn't fit right and one pant length was shorter than the other. So now, another week before I get the final product. Overall, I felt the customer experience was good. I am just not sold on the quality of the suits (material) and based on the price of $700 for that one suit, even though it was 2 for 1, really? That suit is almost as much as my Burberry which has stood the test of time... lets just say long long time. I don't think these suits are worth $700 each, and if used a lot, will not stand the test of time. So am I really getting 2 for 1? I doubt it. It is most likely a marketing play. Are they worth $350 each? Perhaps. And perhaps you get what you pay for.... I'll update my review as time passes and how it goes after I finally pick up my suits.

It definitely was hard to notice, and I'm certain this was something that could have easily gotten past the QC review, but I notified Squire of the incident (moreso to see how it would be handled). I would have been happy with a contrite apology and maybe a nominal discount on my next rental/purchase. What they offered (a very generous refund) well exceeded my expectations! I feel like lately we've had more luck in the men's department than women's. One of my main gripes is that all of their clothes seem to be designed for someone who is at least 5'8. As someone who is shorter, I can't wear any of their maxi dresses or skirts. A few garments I also had to put down because they just looked cheaply made, which I know is probably the case but they have some really thin fabric. Again, the store itself is great but the selection is difficult for my size at 5'1.

Now the negative. Everything is WAY over priced. It seems as soon as you use the words Big and Tall the price jumps way up and these places think it's justifiable to charge these prices. The shirt I bought was supposed to be wrinkle free. Surprise surprise, it wasn't. Took me a long time both times to iron this shirt. Didn't even come close to wrinkle free from the dryer. Don't really expect shirt to come out totally wrinkle free from dryer, but this one was way off. Needed this stuff for an interview the next day so I bought it any way. Out the door price WITH a $25.00 off coupon was $150.00 with tax. YIKES. Only reason I didn't give 1 star was the selection and friendliness of staff. P.S. The shirt they originally tried to sell me was over $100.00.
