Absolutely love this place and have witnessed firsthand how this business continually raises the bar, always introducing new and innovative ways to relax. If you haven't tried a float tank yet, it's a unique and deeply relaxing sensory experience. I encourage you to read more about it on the Float website. You float in a sleek, encapsulated vessel filled with magnesium rich water that makes you buoyant. The experience takes place in darkness, blocking out all external stimuli bathing suit or bare, your choice. It's especially helpful for people who work in overstimulating environments or are feeling overwhelmed. You also can't beat the fact that they offer infrared sauna sessions as a booking option. In one sauna, you can watch soothing nature videos; in another, you can try the yoga sauna if you're looking to sweat and stretch. It gets HOT and for those of us who love the heat, it's perfect! I recently tried the AI massage bot at Float, and it truly exceeded my expectations. While nothing will ever replace the irreplaceable value of human touch through modalities like ashiatsu or Thai massage.Which I LOVE and deeply appreciate (and I've had some incredible massages here from their skilled human professionals, highly recommend!) this was a thoughtful and well executed alternative. It's especially meaningful for folks who may struggle with human interaction due to trauma, disability, or neurodivergence. The ability to fully customize pressure and positioning and especially the option for a completely silent session, makes this a much needed offering. Some days (or weeks) are just heavy, and it's comforting to have a space where you don't have to talk, explain, or perform. Just rest and decompress.

Float is a wellness facility with several unique offerings. They have float pods, massage rooms, saunas, and a salt room. On this visit I par took in a couples sauna session. You don't know someone until you sweat together lol. The session was for 40 minutes with our own private room. Water, towels, and entertainment are provided. We decided to watch our fave, 90 Day Fiancé the Other Way to let time pass. The sound was great while in the sauna as they have built in speakers. They also have light therapy available. I appreciate that they provide ample towels. Overall we received a warm welcome and had a great tour of the facility. They have 2 locker rooms available and enough rooms to provide services for all their offerings. They have a nice sitting area with massage chairs and a tea station to sit in while you wait for your appointment. They offer packages for those that plan to come more often.

Had such a great experience at Float Spa in San Antonio! It was recommended to me and honestly lived up to the hype. From the moment I called to book, they were super kind and explained everything really well. We booked a 90-minute couple's massage and it was truly 90 minutes, no shortcuts. The massage therapists talked to us beforehand to understand what we needed, and actually focused on the spots we mentioned, which was awesome. The place is super clean, relaxing, and everyone made us feel really welcome. After the massage, one of the staff even gave us some helpful advice on how to deal with certain pains and stretches we can do at home. Definitely recommend this place for a couple's massage. $269 for 90 minutes, with the level of care we got, you really can't beat that in San Antonio.

I flew home that morning and was able to schedule my massage in the afternoon and everything was set for my appointment. It was a great spa day after flying so early in the morning. I used the spa day which includes a massage, sauna, and float pod. Everyone was so nice and they keep the area clean at all times. There wasn't a long wait in between sessions. There's a lounge area with 2 massage chair, water and tea available while you wait and even a salt room to rest. I didn't like the float pod but my daughter enjoyed her experience.

I was gifted a wonderful 2.5 hour session here at FLOAT for various experiences and being my first time here I wasn't sure what to expect. To my surprise this paradise is a hidden gem waiting for us all!! I walked in and was taken to a room where a locker with my name awaited for me. I was asked to remove all my clothing and a comfy robe and slippers were provided. I put my stuff away, phone included- this is optional. I was taken to the infrared sauna for my first experience. A big screen tv with Netflix is available. Water is provided as are ice cold eucalyptus towels to keep you cool in the sauna. Very relaxing experience. Next I was off to FLOAT. They explain the entire process. Caution- if you're claustrophobic this might not be for you. You can leave the door open though. And finally a Salt Therapy session. This was truly magical! You have to experience it to understand how truly special it is. It's almost orgasmic!! I fell asleep, lol. The staff is absolutely outstanding & professional. I want to go back to try out the massages. Definitely an amazing experience!!!

Float ... A sensory deprivation chamber filled with 50 percent Epsom salts which helps to aid in pain and spinal and neck decompression. You can leave the light on or off. Very relaxing. I did the SPA package which is the dry sauna , massage then float. There are cold eucalyptus towels to wipe off in the hot sauna and hot tea is also provided. There are several packages and memberships to choose from. Check them out at FLOATSA.COM

This was so relaxing. The whole spa smelled AMAZING and the staff was so friendly. I did the salt therapy and feel like my breathing is so free. I am so relaxed and it's been a few hours. I'll definitely be going back and recommending this to friends/family.

My first time trying this and I'm glad I got the cabin which is what they give first timers! It was a unique experience that I think everyone should try if you're looking for new ways to relax. My biggest worry was getting water in my ears but they give you wax plugs which completely solved that issue. I also did the infrared sauna which I really loved! I think that was my favorite of the the total package for $129 which included 1 hour massage, 20 Min sauna & 40 min float session. The massage was also really great and the therapist I had was Samantha (pretty sure) and she was great. Only downfall was the Tea room wasn't available because of COVID and you do have to keep your mask on during the massage, a little disappointing but I understand why.

    Ask the Community - FLOAT

Are there plus size robes available? Or should I bring my own?

Robes seemed really big to me. I think they're one size fits all. You can bring your own just to be safe, but I think you should be fine.

Can floats be purchased for my 10 year old? Would I be able to stay in the room with him?

14 and older with a parent or guardian last I checked

    Can I float naked?

Yep! It’s the only way to float! There are private showers in each tank room so you can shower off before and after.

The massage rooms are very relaxing and quiet & I always feel my body relax a little just walking in the door. I've also used the infrared sauna and the room is comfy and there is a shower right in the room so you can sweat then get out and rinse off (if you aren't doing the cold plunge right after). The prices are right on par with similar services locally, and I love supporting a local small business, so I will keep coming back.

The atmosphere in the room felt custom and relaxing. I like their choice of background music too. Not too loud or obnoxious, just a soft Tibetan singing bowl sound. The front desk attendant was very nice too! She kindly guided me around the spa. The Wellness day also includes the sauna, float tank, and in my case the compression therapy. The float tank was so cool, I think everyone should try it at least once. For my session, they gave me a robe and really cushy slippers to wear. I NEED those slippers in my life, if you guys find out where they are from please send the info my way lol Word of advice, if you book the services online using someone else's card, you will have to pay again once you get there. If your name doesn't match the info on the card, they don't save the card info on your file. It could be for security purposes. Fortunately I was able to pay for it, but fair warning when booking. It may be wise to just buy a gift card if you are wanting to buy someone a service there other than yourself

I am a fan of True Rest floats. The float experience is absolutely wonderful in terms of stress…read morereduction and a general feeling of calm well-being, and the atmosphere at True Rest, both before, and after your float, enhances that feeling. In my recent visit, I tried their Vitality Suite, which consists of a combo of infrared sauna, red light therapy, and a cold plunge. The attendant was very nice as she described the process. Unlike the float, which has an automatic timer built in, the vitality suite experience is one in which you are expected, or at least encouraged, to watch the clock. I wondered whether 45 minutes might actually be too long, but it was not. Not at all, actually. By the time I showered, got heated up in the sauna, and got myself into the cold plunge, which is very, very cold, the clock said I was 36 minutes into my 45! Since I had seen no other customers, I didn't think anyone would be pounding on the door, but still, I felt constrained and not relaxed at having to watch the clock. I tried the red light therapy, but felt no sense that it was doing anything for me. Maybe my cells were regenerating without my knowledge. So back into the sauna, then back into the cold plunge, and by then I was well over my time. When I was showered and dressed, I saw the attendant had just come to check on me, but I didn't really feel any time pressure, except what was self-imposed. But that still made the experience less relaxing than it should've been. The elegant one-person sauna was nicer than the one I use at my gym, and the cold plunge was much colder, which was bracing. But overall, I was not especially impressed with the vitality suite since it is pretty much what I already do at my gym. I would come back and pay the pricey price for floats at True Rest, but the vitality suite experience did not work for me.

I went into this experience expecting to love it - I got the pure silence I craved…read more The facility was very clean, and I felt comfortable being there. The float itself was good, a strange sensation, but I can see why people love it (especially after a few times to get used to it). My biggest problem was that the light switch inside my pod didn't work, and that triggered a little bit of my panic reflex. I ended up cracking the pod open a couple times to calm myself down, and that detracted from the experience.
