Love this place!! FLOAT is so very chill and relaxing, and I didn't even float. I purchased a 3 float package for my hubs for Christmas and decide to tag along for his first float. Jeremy was so nice, friendly and knowledgeable. He gave me a tour while the hubs was changing and let me relax in one of their awesome massage chairs. Did the couple's package, I took my boyfriend for his birthday. Amazing place tucked away off Fredricksburg Road, was taken into a different world when we walked inside. Incredible atmosphere hand tailored to create relaxation. Extremely friendly staff, listened to all of our questions and genuinely cared, they talked through the process with us and we felt so welcomed. They helped us unwind from the day and got us started with a great massage. The float itself was unlike any other experience we have had, completely relaxing, recharging and reviatlizing. Must go. My first float was an amazing experience at @floatsa in March. The facility is very clean and well laid out with a good vibe and flow to it. The business is well managed, as I took up the last available appointment in the late afternoon and still felt a sense of space and privacy in a place that is constantly in and out with customers. The private bathrooms that they provide for you to change also have lockers in them, so there's no awkward carrying of your things out the door to another place. After you change into a clean,soft robe that the house supplies, you walk to a quiet, dark room filled with high end massage chairs that are enmeshed in a starry night atmosphere with peaceful and mellow music hugging your ears. After a 15 minute massage, a member of the Float team will show you how to get to your float room. (You have the choice (upon booking) of a pod or the tank, by the way.) In your room, there is a shower with soap, shampoo, and conditioner and you have 5 minutes to shower (but don't use conditioner before your float, please!). The room is filled with a blue aura and peaceful tunes, which welcome you into the first 5 minutes of your float before they fade to complete darkness. As a first timer, I made a few rookie mistakes that I can help you avoid - 1) don't get so excited that you forget to put in the ear plugs they provide. You'll remember 3 minutes into the float and you really want to not break any of the flow you already have from the massage chair and the shower. 2) DON"T touch your eyes at all with your wet hands because salt. Ok - so as a first timer you probably will take a few minutes to get into the zone. About 40 minutes into the float, I experienced astral projection - which is when your mind becomes a "physically" separate entity from your body. Everyone will have their own experience, but the relaxation is universal. I tend to have long stretches in an office environment during the week, so it really helped me loosen up my back and allow my shoulders and head to drop and realign for an hour, and while I type this 2 hours later I still feel chilled, both physically and mentally. I strongly recommend the place and will return and also purchase gifts for friends and family to come here in the future. read more

OMG so awesome here. They're 0 gravity float sensory deprivation pods are a really neat experience. You get in this pod thing with 10 in. of epsom salt water and you will float like a cork therefore taking off all the strain on your whole body. It took me awhile to stop fighting it physically and the thoughts to stop racing but eventually I was either asleep or so zoned out that when I came back out of it it was like I had been "re-booted". Before the float there this special whole body massage chair for 15 min which was neat. Then the massage session after the float I had was awesome my MT found knots in my back I didn't know where even there. Really excellent massage session can't wait to go back for more. They go over it with you first if there are any places you don't want touched due to injury or past trauma. If you have "tall girl problems" as I do getting to totally stretch out is really nice. Ladies if it's that time of month you can still float np. In most cases if you're pregnant it's not a problem. In most tubs at home I can't and have to choose between knees or cleavage. I'm 5-10 and I'd estimate someone 6-2 would still fit in there fine. Just such an awesome experience I really, really recommend this place... read more

I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to enjoy my first session as a birthday gift from my best friend. Let me tell you, do read up on the benefits of floating, there's nothing like floating. It was a bit challenging the first few minutes but understand that this is not a just one time thing and expect life changing results because first of all you may need a couple of sessions to learn how to allow the deprivation of senses to not freak you out. I also think that as you incorporate floating in your routine as you would meditation, you will notice a deeper more relaxed daily life. The owners are absolutely the best. One of the owners was so kind and welcoming and explained the entire process. Beautiful rainfall showers, cotton robes, lockers. They have local art in a sitting room where you can hang out as long as you like after your session while sipping on hot tea with organic honey. The details behind our experience was way above your standard customer service typically seen in other spas that just want your money. The entire staff went beyond to make our experience wonderful. I will definitely go back for more sessions and I can't wait to do so! read more

Most relaxing experience of my life! Float has a beautiful and calming atmosphere that was carefully crafted and well thought out. The staff are very helpful and get you aquainted with the whole experience prior to your float. The pods and tank have ample room for even thouse who might worry about closed spaces. You can sit upright in a pod without feeling cramped. I practice mediation on a regular basis but the depth of relaxation that floating gives you is beyond anything else I've experienced. It's truly like returning to the womb. All the physical and mental pressures are lifted from you and you get to loose yourself for an hour or more. Afterward you can relax in the longe area. Sip some hot tea, view some local art and acclimate yourself back to the world. Amazing experience overall. I will definitely be a regular! read more

I visited Float a couple of weekends ago and really enjoyed my first sensory deprivation experience. I was gifted a 3 pack of 60 minute float sessions with the 15 minute massage chair prior for my birthday, and really didn't know anything about the process or benefits of sensory deprivation. I was able to easily schedule my appointment online, which was a huge convenience. Jeremy greeted me when I arrived and explained everything to me and answered any questions I had. He and his wife have created a beautiful, calming environment at Float, and I was impressed at the decor and thought that went into creating their space. After a tour and full explanation of how the process works, I was off and running. As a parent with a high stress job, who wouldn't welcome a full hour of uninterrupted silence and the opportunity to release their stress, am I right? My floating session was amazing. Once I settled in and was able to relax and let the salt water hold me; it was one of the most relaxing experiences I've had. I left my session feeling completely rejuvenated physically and mentally. The experience has made me more aware of the physical stress I carry around. I'm very much looking forward to my next two sessions, now that I know what to expect.
