The studio is charming, peaceful, and impeccably clean, set inside one of the oldest buildings in downtown San Antonio--which only adds to the experience and sense of calm. Antonio was absolutely wonderful. His communication was excellent, the pressure was perfect, and he truly listened to what I wanted and needed. He addressed every area I mentioned with care and intention, and I never once felt rushed or overlooked. I left feeling deeply relaxed and completely restored. I don't do reviews often if at all but I had to do a review for this business as they were the most understanding and the best! My fiancé and I were visiting San Antonio after seeing family in corpus. We wanted to relax and get a message. It was last minute. They were really full but they fit us in somehow and we were really grateful. We had to check out of our hotel that day so we were a little late and I had to have my service animal with us. I felt terrible that we had all those things be a factor but they accommodated us at every turn and I couldn't have been happier with the message and the service and the kindness. I had a stunning experience here. The advantage is that it's not a chain and so you get treated like a person. I booked a last minute appointment for a 90 minute deep massage. I had so much pain in my shoulder and during my treatment Donny used what tools would help me rather than up charging for every little addition. As a result I now have experience with more types of treatments and can better understand how they'll help me. I wish I lived here and could become a regular. Purchased a couples massage as an anniversary/basic training graduation gift for my partner and I cannot recommend Casa Dōson enough! Just off the riverwalk, you'll find the most tranquil atmosphere in the oasis and absolute gem that is Casa Dōson. The customer service was exceptional and the owner Sonia was super sweet. My partner's massage therapist Betty was also really nice and quite funny. Narcissa did my massage and it was AMAZING! We discussed my most troublesome area which she helped me with but, honestly, she managed to find and work on every knot and tense muscle. The massage was the perfect happy medium of relaxing and therapeutic. I loved the combination of techniques and incorporation of tools (especially love that this was included in the couples massage at no additional charge). Hands down the best massage I've ever had. My husband and I came to San Antonio for a convention and anniversary trip. After 3 full days of walking, this was a great end to our trip. We got a couples massage and my husband likes more of a deep tissue massage and I like a little bit of both muscle work and relaxation and we both got exactly that. When we called to make our bookings, Sonia was so kind to help us figure out what we should book and she even answered our questions about San Antonio and made really great recommendations on things to do- something she did not have to do! I am visiting from California and my massage at Dōson was something I did for relaxation after traveling. I haven't had a massage since early March, because I had a horribly traumatic experience where a massage therapist had a phone out and was using their phone during my entire massage, without my consent. I have been scared to get a massage ever since. When I explained that I was hesitant because of this, Donny met me with so much care and consideration. He began explaining to me where he saw my muscle imbalances and where he'd be doing what so I knew what to expect- this was SO thoughtful. During the massage, he checked in often, asking if the pressure was okay and how I was doing. The massage itself was one of the best Ive ever had- and I've had a lot throughout my life with a stepmom as a massage therapist. It truly felt like Donny catered their "Dōson Deep" to me and my body's needs that day. Overall, I just felt like they delivered in every way. Sonia and Donny are an impeccable team and I will definitely be back whenever I am in San Antonio and I will for sure be telling my hotel to refer guests to them. We got a wonderful couples massage from Adriana and Antonio. I'm 8 months pregnant and required a prenatal massage and they were very accommodating. I've been looking for a new place to go as I recently moved to San Antonio. I happened upon the Google reviews for this place and decided to try it out. I've now worked with two different massage therapists and they were both amazing. Adriana in particular helped me work out a really bad knot caused by sleeping wrong and I felt like an entirely new person when I left. All the staff are friendly and professional and very, very good at what they do. I really like that I can easily book and pay online so I don't have to think about payment when I'm in my happy zone after the massage. On the day of the appointment, Casa Doson was really easy to find - very walkable, right on the Riverwalk, yet slightly secluded from the heart of downtown. The ambiance is relaxing, everything was clean, comforting, and safe. Donny and Jessica were incredible - absolutely professional, respectful, and talented. They were able to help me relax and to alleviate a fair amount of my partner's back pain. I genuinely wish that I lived in San Antonio so I could be a regular client.
