Front desk staff and manager lacked proper customer service etiquette. One of their staff members…read morebooked me a session confirming I had 1hour left in my balance. Once I arrived I was turned away because of the mistake their staff did because apparently, I didn't have an hour left. They wanted me to pay full price if I wanted my massage. When the manager called me she was completely unprofessional threatened to review security cameras on how things were handled. I had nothing to hide and she should've reviewed the cameras before calling me but chose to make an insulting remark. They should have honored the 1hour massage appointment I arrived for and not waste my time and energy nor put the burden on me for their employee's mistake. MassageLuxe is no different from any other substandard massage place but for it being so-called LUXURY...it's less than mediocre at best. Most of their massage therapists are good but beware as some don't maintain proper hygiene like manicures so their nails or cuticles dig into your skin and scratches you. They should be required to wear a facemask because they breathe into your face when you're lying on your back and who wants to smell all that? (yes gross) Some of them talk your ear off and don't dim the light like they should so it makes you feel like you're there to keep them company and feel a bit vulnerable due to the lighting. They don't always pay attention to their notes and will continue to mispronounce your name even after being a member with them for 2 years. They'll start the massage late so if you have an appointment expect to wait a few minutes longer but they'll finish the massage earlier than the whole time you paid for. If you're looking for actual luxury treatment-- especially to get your money's worth-- your time well spent-- and to decompress after a long week-- I recommend you go to a *real* luxury massage spa like La Cantera, the Quarry or downtown. Sometimes quality is worth the drive than the convenience of it being close by. Save yourself from the stress, disappointment, and frustration. I was a loyal member but MassageLuxe does not live up to their name. Their massage therapists, staff, and management need to provide an ambiance that gives clients what they deserve and expected; to relax and not leave feeling more stressed than when they arrived. Lastly, I elevated my concerns to the franchise management but they're just as bad. No response no remedial action to ensure the trust and brand they're trying to build actually lives up to expectations. They don't hire the right people for the right job, they lack accountability, and they aren't professionally trained. This is why they cannot retain their staff nor keep longterm memberships due to their incompetence and inability to make things right for their clients.

I tried some of the national brand massage studios, but none relieved the tightness and pain. I saw the banner for LZ spa, off of 1604 and Kitty Hawk and decided to give it a try. WOW, I was thoroughly surprised by the friendly welcome I received. I was advised that there would be a 15 minute wait as the only therapist had another customer. I waited until Bella was finished with her customer and was escorted to the massage room. I described my condition to Bella and told her I needed a deep tissue massage. The massage was thorough and reached all the deep knots that had been causing me problems for so long. I decided to return as often as I could. On One visit Bella was busy so I was referred to Annie who just happened to be there. She advised me that Bella told her about my condition and that she would do her best to help,, Both Bella and Annie are great therapists, give fantastic massages, and are very courteous and friendly.
