I booked a warm/cinnamon color balayage with Ivette. She was highly informative and cordial leading up to the appointment, making me feel in good hands. Ivette provided all the necessary details on how to get to the salon, what to expect, and the process of the hair change. She was super nice and we ended up taking almost 4 hours, she was quicker than I thought since I do have quite a bit of hair. I have very long, thick hair that I've been getting highlighted for years, and MJ gave me one of the best highlights I've ever had. MJ took the time to ask me questions and look at pictures in the days leading up to the appointment to make sure we were on the same page. At the appointment itself, he continued to maintain that level of professionalism and care while also making me feel very comfortable the whole time. He made helpful suggestions on products that could help solve some of my hair problems without being pushy to sell me anything. This review is long overdue! No contest, one of the best haircuts I've ever gotten :) I only get my hair cut once every 3-4 yrs because I grow it out and donate it. My hair is super thick and mostly straight but some of it is frizzy and wiry. So when I do get it cut (usually taking 12inches off to a bob-length), I try to get layers and some texture to keep it from poofing out, which is what happens if I get it cut straight across. 90% of the time, my hair ends up crooked, at least half an inch longer on one side, which I often discover at home after washing. This is even when I pay $40-50 at a quality hair salon. (I used to go to those cheap-o chain salons, and one time my hair was almost 2 inches longer on one side!) Yvette is one of the few people who has cut my hair perfectly. Layers, texture, and weight just right. I brought in pictures and she adapted them to my hair type, took her time, and made it perfect. NO regrets. If I still lived in San Antonio, I'd go back to her. Too bad I moved to California, because I got another crooked haircut! read more

Lisa styled my daughter's hair for Alamo heights senior party. Our first impression as we walked through the studio was the overall decor was awesome (very hip). We asked for a straightening and we were overall very satisfied with the end product. There was one or two minor requests that went unaddressed but ultimately that may be on is for not reminding the stylist. Lisa was so pleasant and welcoming and even made arrangements to "fit" is in when the other stylist was already home for the day.
