I'm relatively new to the area and had a terrible cut from the last place I tried, so I was a little nervous when I scheduled a cut and keratin treatment with Olivia. But it was fantastic. I have been a client of Bloom for a little over a year and each visit has been the same. Professional, friendly, and each cut, phenomenal!! I have wavy/ curly hair and like to keep it short (pixie). I always worried before finding Olivia and her team because each experience prior to Bloom had been a disaster and I would cut my own hair. Olivia is my go-to for the rest of my life! She listens to my wants before anything happens but will also let me know if something I am asking for won't work on my face. She is always on point! We have even gotten to the point where I can tell her to "do what's best" and I leave with the most beautiful hair. Take the time for a consult. She will NOT steer you wrong and will even place you with the best stylist for your needs. It's important that both the client and the stylist understand each other. Olivia, the owner and stylist, is amazing! She is the only one I trust with my hair. Seriously, when I lived in Austin I would make the trip just for appointments. She invests in her craft and is always taking classes to further her skills. I was so disappointed in the service I received at Bloom Salon from stylist Laurie Payne. First of all the stylist arrived 10 minutes late and unprepared. Upon entering the salon there was such a bad smell. I had second thoughts immediately and I should have left but decided to give them a chance. I am brunette and wanted some beautiful highlights for fall. More toward a blonde light brown tone that would fit my dark brunette hair. I mentioned to the stylist I wanted a 4N on my roots to cover grey and she put a 4.5 N which made my roots a lighter brown than what I wanted. After she was done with my foils I asked her if she was going to apply heat to my hair. I have dark hair and I need heat to make it lift. She said, "no that is bad" I was dumbfounded as a makeup artist and licensed Esthetician I have worked along side the BEST and talented hair stylists in the hair industry and I have seen them use heat on darker hair to lift for desired color. After she took out foils and washed my hair she was ready to style my hair. She spent 10 min looking for her lost blow dryer. Obviously unprepared. When I was done I was disappointed. There was minimal change. The only thing different was that my old highlights were coming through and they started very low. I asked her for a partial refund because I did not like how my hair turned out and I could not justify spending so much money on something I didn't like. I understand she spent time on me and was willing to pay her for time spent and product but she couldn't give me a partial refund. Wow. Other salons or stylist will issue refunds immediately. I was shocked. This stylist was a stylist that reached out to me on Instagram and it felt she wanted to fill up her books quick. Also the hairstylist who was next to me was cleaning up her station blow drying hair off her chair and blow dries all the hair in my direction. I was disgusted. She was not mindful of what she was doing. Needless to say this was a terrible experience and I will never go back. I just could not believe the level of service I received. Completely disappointed please be careful who you go to! There are a lot of stylists out there trying to make a quick buck off of Instagram people. read more

Olivia has magic hands! My hair was a frizzy, hot mess before she started being my hairstylist and colorist. Gone was the frizzy, dry, brittle, fading fast and taking forever to grow hair that I used to have. When I've gotten a blowout from her, the results lasted for days, but I was also left with silky soft hair that had great shine, body, and movement. Sadly, I haven't been able to get results like this from ANYONE ELSE in two decades of searching. She remembers the smallest details which is always appreciated and she delivers consistent results. It's easy to book, but best to do so a few weeks in advance, because she's VERY good, and has LOTS of happy and loyal clients like myself. Her salon is clean and has a nice, relaxing atmosphere with plenty of parking. As far as products go, Olivia offers Amika products hair care products and Goldwell Color. A little goes a long way with the Amika products, but also, the Goldwell hair color line hydrates and nourishes my hair like nothing else!
