I cannot say enough good things about my hair stylist Brittany, I came in with a botched bleach/ color job that made my hair green, gray, red, yellow and orange. I also had a a choppy, uneven layered cut that made me have to hide my hair under a hat for three days. I was nervous about whether anything could fix the damage, I asked 3 different hairstylists for their opinion because all I wanted was to lighten the balayage I already had. Most told me my best option was to just go back to dark and let my hair grow and try to bleach again in a few years. I went on instagram and found this salon and said if they told me the same thing ill just go back to brown. I called to schedule a consultation and 15 minutes later I found myself in Brittanys chair. She made me feel comfortable and reassured. She listened to exactly what I wanted and took the time to explain how we could get there in a way that would keep my hair as healthy as possible. The color correction she did was nothing short of a miracle. She transformed my hair into a beautiful, even tone that looks so natural and vibrant. I get my extensions and color with Audrey at Alchemy Salon. Audrey is the best when it comes to Color and Extensions. She does Tie-in Extensions- most healthy for my thin hair. I am hispanic with naturally dark brown hair and my hair is platinum blonde. I was here on a Thursday morning at 10:15 am. for a consultation. The salon is very easy to find with limited parking. Upon walking in, you'll feel the air of luxury. It was quiet. If memory serves me correct, no music. Two clients already I their chairs with Ann Marie and Tanner. I sat down, and after a short time, Ann Marie checked me in. She graciously offered cold beverages and coffee. It was kind of her to step away from her client to acknowledge me. Shortly thereafter, my stylist came out. I don't want to name drop here because it's not about calling anyone out. I just want to describe my experience in my case. She greeted me and was friendly. We discussed hair things, and I received a quote. She studied my hair and took pictures, notes, etc. I don't recall that she ever picked up my hair to understand the thickness or texture, which was odd, but also there is COVID, and she wasn't wearing gloves. Perhaps that is normal here. In the end, I did schedule a follow-up appointment, and we said our goodbyes awkwardly. She half walked away as if in a hurry but turned pivoted back since I turned to say good-bye (?) Honestly, there could be a different story from her side. There just wasn't a connection. I let myself stew on it for a few hours and ended up canceling all together. There just wasn't a connection. For me, the value in this round was the salutations and farewells that just seemed disconnected. I was expecting at least a handshake or some friendly banter. I mean, I was going to be spending over 6 hours there.... but likely in silence is something I can not do. I am in my forties and have colored my hair since 20. I just don't want to waste my time if there is no connection. I would still recommend giving Alchemy a try. It wasn't for me, but it could definitely be for you. Nothing said here has anything to do with their hard skills. I just felt like the soft skills were lacking. read more

I tried to enjoy what I left with but this is an "upscale" salon and yet I had to book online because there's no one to answer the phone... I want to start off by saying that this is a nice salon and the person that did my hair was really sweet and wonderful. I am in tears. It took me years to get some of my highlights as blonde as they were and now it's gone and I'm afraid it'll be difficult to achieve after what was done to my hair. I paid almost $400 for a service that I did not request when I sat down. When she explained to me that she was going to give me a "lived in look" on my roots, I did not expect all of my hair to come out dark/brunette. I showed her pictures of what I wanted to achieve (ash blonde balayage) and I am on the complete opposite side of the spectrum. I am devastated, but she said it would get lighter in time. My hair color looks really nice, but it's not what I asked for and my confidence is completely shot. I understand that when you go lighter, it's a process, but it's a process I've been undergoing for two years. I had already achieved the color I wanted in some of my highlights. If she was going to charge me for highlights and a root smudge instead of a balayage, I wish she had at least tried to match the color I already had. If I had known she was going to completely darken all of my hair I would've never gone through with it. She also said my hair would get lighter, but to lose all of the blonde in my hair is just heartbreaking considering all of the money and time I invested getting to where I was. For me, I love my hair and it's part of my identity; I am just so heartbroken and I wish I had said something before I left. I don't know if I will come back, it's pretty pricey considering I did not even go into the direction I wanted. read more
