George greeted us I entered the spa and offered me a choice of Water, Hot Tea or Champagne. All good choices but after a full day of traveling I opted for the bubbly beverage while they preparred the room. George asked me how much pressure I would prefer and the areas to focus on. I had been sitting on a plane and carrying luggage so my entire back was stressed and in need of work. George stretched my back muscles and proceeded to relieve the tension that had built up. He seemed to know every muscle in detail and knew exactly the right pressure and technique that was required to complete the task at hand. I heard joints popping and oils being applied to my tired muscles all while relaxing on a warm massage table with comfy sheets and headrest. The music playing in the background was soft and relaxing. I have had many massages over the years and George provided one of the best I have ever had. Next time I am in town I will stop by for another wonderful experience. I recently underwent emergency gallbladder removal surgery and decided to treat myself to a $150 postoperative lymphatic drainage massage to help support my recovery. As a veteran, I work hard for my money, and spending this amount on a massage was something I genuinely considered an investment in my healing and well-being. Unfortunately, I left feeling rushed, overlooked, and honestly, taken advantage of. My appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM, and I was taken back around 11:05 AM. Once inside, the massage therapist spent approximately 10 minutes talking with me while I was getting undressed and preparing for the session. I had also purchased an additional 15-minute TMJ massage. Before we began, I specifically explained that I wanted attention focused on my legs and shoulders, particularly because I had been experiencing discomfort from residual gas following my surgery. I made it clear what areas I needed help with and why I was there. Unfortunately, the session felt completely disorganized and poorly managed. The therapist spent a considerable amount of time on the TMJ portion, and I eventually had to remind her about my legs and ask how much time we had remaining so she could even begin addressing them. Had I not spoken up, I genuinely feel those areas may have been overlooked entirely. At one point, I needed to use the restroom, which took approximately five minutes. Aside from that, I noticed the therapist repeatedly taking time to retrieve items and prepare things throughout the session, which made the massage feel interrupted and further reduced the amount of hands-on treatment I received. The entire appointment concluded around 12:00 PM. Considering I paid $150 for a postoperative lymphatic massage AND purchased an additional 15-minute service, I expected my appointment to last considerably longer, approximately until 12:30 PM, based on my understanding of the services I booked. Instead, the actual hands-on treatment felt significantly shorter once the initial consultation, preparation, restroom break, and interruptions were factored in. I have received lymphatic drainage massages in the past, so I had some familiarity with what to expect. This experience did not feel comparable. I did not feel that my concerns were adequately addressed or that the treatment was focused on the areas I had specifically requested. What bothers me most is that I was only days out of emergency surgery and was still taking prescribed pain medication. I was not feeling completely like myself, and I trusted that I was walking into an environment where my condition would be treated with care, patience, and professionalism. Instead, I left wondering whether my vulnerable state and reduced awareness contributed to my receiving less time and attention than I had paid for. I cannot speak to anyone's intentions, but that is genuinely how this experience made me feel. I am not someone who casually spends this kind of money on self-care. I wanted to do something nice for myself after an incredibly stressful medical emergency, and I was hoping to leave feeling cared for and reassured during my recovery. Instead, I left upset, disappointed, and feeling like my money had been wasted. For a business offering postoperative services, I would expect greater attention to a patient's condition, better communication, and more responsible time management. People recovering from surgery are trusting you with their comfort and well-being during an especially vulnerable time. I truly wish my experience had been different, but I cannot justify the amount I paid for the level of service I received.

I've gone in with neck pain and leave feeling brand new, I've gone in at the cusp of an anxiety attack and left more relaxed than I've ever been. The atmosphere, the employees, the music, everything is the perfect recipe for a relaxing massage. When you walk in it is very dark, especially the more sunny it is outside so be prepared! Once your eyes take a moment to adjust, you are met with a few couches and some water as well as a menu of services on the wall. They also have some pricing pamphlets on the coffee table between the couches and magazines - I've never needed them as I've never had a long wait, even without making an appointment. I usually opt for the package which includes 40 minute deep tissue massage with the 30 minute reflexology for 35 dollars. This includes a foot soak, reflexology foot massage plus legs, back, arms, and neck massage. The only downfall is that their lack of staff causes the employee to step away when someone walks in or if the phone rings. This means mid-massage they may step out to greet someone for a moment or two. These are usually VERY brief interactions, one or two minutes tops, before they are back and apologizing for stepping out. I completely get it - when you're a small locally owned business you have to make things work the best you can. The fact they pause a massage to greet someone and see what they need then give them a wait time is okay with me. If you're inpatient or not understanding that they are running a small family business then find a big box corporation that has a dedicated receptionist. As for me, I will never go anywhere else for a massage!

My masseuse made sure to ask me what level of pressure I desired and if I wanted hot stones ( free option). She left to let me change and once back she started right away. She did talk to me a little to make sure all was fine but nothing after (my preference as I sleep). She loosened my muscles with a light blanket on top of me and then tapered back the cover to apply oil and massage in areas of focus. She used excellent technique and pressure during my entire massage. I really appreciate the attention to detail and the professionalism. Better than many brands I have patronized. They are very reasonably priced which makes giving an excellent tip easier. I will definitely be back soon.

I asked if I could see the other pages in the book thinking the hot stone option would be in the other pages past the first page... and she said no.
