I haven't had a massage in a very long time. Possibly over a year. I was researching and came across Azalea and their glowing ratings. I was skeptical even after I walked in. From the outside, it just looks like a storefront but the spa is decorated nicely but not cluttered. It is clean and spacious. I explained that I wasn't sure what to pick since it was first time. The front desk lady explained the different massages and offerings. I opted for a regular deep tissue for 60 minutes with extra emphasis on my back. Lisa was assigned to me and was quiet but very nice. She led me to the massage room and worked my back like a heavyweight. I really needed that. I don't know if I can handle a 90 minute massage because I just wanted to go to sleep after the 60 minutes. I was very pleased with my experience and I have no hesitation going back for another service. read more

Stumbled upon this spa while on a business trip and extremely glad about the find. I love massages and have been through many places and it is fair to say that this is probably the best massage I have ever had in a long time! The massage therapist I had was extremely friendly and from Beijing, she has been doing it for many years and you can tell that she is very experienced and know what she's doing. On further review I learned that almost all of the message therapists have gone through formal classes and training in Eastern Medicine massage as well as Reflexology. If you have been receiving massages you can definitely sense the difference. I am very fortunate that my therapist is very passionate about what she does and you can definitely tell the difference during the massage and the way she talks about massaging. I've been here a few times already and each time a pleasant experience. You're warmly greeted by the manager. Their prices are cheaper than most. $60 for an hour massage. They also have spa packages that are priced well with things like scrubs and a vicchy shower. I've tried the vicchy shower where you lay in the table and they place a type of scrub that you choose and they shower you down. The massage therapists are nice and listen to your massage needs. They also spend one whole hour with you. Not the get undressed for 5 min, and get dressed for 5 min ordeal. Great spa service overall. read more

Shoutout to Si. She gave the best massage I've ever had in my entire life, and I get massages on the weekly. I only enjoy deep tissue and I love when there's a lot of pressure in my muscles. She was well experienced and gave enough pressure exactly as I asked. The only downfall was the location. Theyre directly beside a gym, so even though the room was on the other side, you could still hear the gym through the rooms. It doesn't help that they have wooden floors and could also hear people walking/talking in the hallways. Either way, I give them 5 stars. Not only was the Si spectacular. But I was there visiting family for the first time, and the time I had asked for was taken. They said they may be able to do something, not sure if they called to switch time slots around. But they fit me in.. that is TRUE customer service. When I visit San Antonio again, which will be in the near future. You can guarantee I'll be calling this place. read more

Whenever I am in town, I try to get a massage. I have been to Azalea Spa several times, and each time it is a great experience. Most recently, I got a 60 minute deep tissue massage and it was great. The massage therapist was very thorough and asked what areas I wanted to focus on and how much pressure I would like. My favorite part was the head, neck, and shoulder massage at the very end. It made me very relaxed. I will definitely be coming back when I am in town! read more

This place is SOOO amazing, I had an angel and devil on my shoulders for my review. The devil thought was "don't leave that amazing review as it will ensure its really busy, after all its a bargain, masseuses are skilled, and its clean". My angel thought is "this is the best massage I have received in my LIFE so I have to Yelp about it". Bottom line is that you will enjoy it immensely as my wife and I did. We had the masseuses Cindy and Yuki who used stern, but not overpowering pressure that seemed to keep us relaxed for days, yes days.....It's a real bargain as its about a dollar a minute, and we both opted for the 90 minute massages. Now I will say that if you are shy, skip the shower body sea salt scrub, as it will be something you have to disrobe for. My wife and I both felt comfortable in the professionality of their team, but if it is a person's 1st massage this could be intimidating. I have been to some fabulously expensive spas and the massage here is unparalleled. Its a small business so if you enjoyed it like me, Yelp it as well. read more

When I was in the middle of my massage today, I looked up and the door to the room was half open. When I asked for it to be closed, because the sheet was tucked into the top of my panties which were half way down my bum so they could massage my lower back, the person massaging me was asked, "why, are you cold?" When i said something as I was leaving, I was told they always leave the door open and if I feel like it needs to be closed I can ask in the future. The manager was dismissive of my concern and completely unapologetic until I told him I would not be returning (I have been a fairly regular customer with my husband up until this happened). Absolutely disgusted that my body being on display without any communication about it was treated as something irrational for me to care about. read more

I'm so glad that I found this place about a year and a half ago. Cindy is the best therapist that I have ever been to, and I have been getting massages for about 20 years now. The facility is very clean and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable in massage. I have seen others complain about the language barrier, but if you take your time and let it be known what you want prior to getting your massage, you will not be disappointed. I tried this place out today and it was ok. A bit expensive since there was a $15 charge for hot stone to be added to my swedish massage. This place obviously specializes in deep tissue... I am NOT a fan of deep tissue unless I have a real tight muscle which most of the time I dont. I told the receptionist no deep tissue and in the room the lady was giving me tht deep tissue experience and it was a heck to the no no... but once I told her a couple of times to ease up it was perfect! I was even drooling and snoring it felt so good. I would return to this place again because I would like to try the shower massage. But I will be prepared for the price. And they didnt appear to have a debit machine u have to pay cash, venmo or zelle. I never used zelle before but it wasnt difficult to figure out. Glad I found out about this place. read more

Didn't get to take any pictures..I was too busy relaxing!! I must say I was thoroughly pleased with the customer service. Two different places messed up our Valentines couples massage reservations so the evening before I called here and told them what happened and what time I needed to schedule and BOOM!..they willingly accommodated. The arrival process was quick and only took about 10 mins before they had us in our room. The massage itself was amazing!!! They covered our whole bodies in the 90 minutes but did focus a good deal on the high tension areas (forehead included) which I loved. The only thing I didn't like is they didn't ask if there were any areas that we ourselves wanted them to focus on and there wasn't any intimate one on one relaxation time which is the best part of the couples massage experience. Deceitful, Dishonest and Dissatisfied overall. My husband Booked a Custom massage for me yesterday ​with specific requests: a female masseuse and acupuncture. Upon arrival, I was told a male masseuse would be taking care of me. I told the lady at the desk I prefer a female, so was told Jenny would be my masseuse. Massage only relieved 1 out of 5 Target areas requested. No effective communication with Jenny. I would say something and would get little to no response. No acupuncture and when I asked why, I was told by the lady at the desk that using the elbow and finger is similar to acupuncture needles. Smh. A waste of $ and time and an attempt to insult intelligence. Upon checkout, I asked if there was a price change due to not receiving requested service, lady pointed to the price list. Said that Jenny does not understand English well and when you talk she can't concentrate. Doing Yoga earlier today provided more relief than the massage I received. And when my husband called to communicate his concerns thereafter, a guy said they I told him I was very satisfied. I never seen/spoke to any male there. The location is easy to find, on the strip at West Ave and Interpark Blvd. The staff are extremely professional and knowledgeable on how to properly relieve tensions throughout the body. They are all very welcoming and the spa itself is impeccably clean with a nice ambiance and design.The therapists that I have been to are very hard working and really get those knotty muscles to relax.
