Everything started from the moment I got the confirmation call. The lady that called me was so sweet, kind and professional. Then the day of the massage, one of the masseuse that was at the front desk, greeted me right away. Was very polite and was very friendly! Then my masseuse was Joy. She was AMAZING! This was by far thee BEST massage I have ever gotten. Joy went over my info before she begun, confirmed the areas I had put on the form that I wanted targeted the most. Joy checked on the pressure and made sure I was comfortable. I had a deep tissue massage with the therapeutic relief head, neck and face. It was SO RELAXING! Love Melissa! She's been doing massages for over 15 yrs. You can tell. She pays attention to your needs. She loosened up an area where the muscles began tightening up months after my masectomy. 10/10!!!! I dont know how I just found this place in SA, but after my first visit I can HAPPILY say I'm going to pick up extra work shifts for the spending money to be a regular here lol. To begin with, the atmosphere is EXACTLY what I was looking for. Cute and cozy but very spa-vibe :) There were little local essential oils and candles and lotions for sale in the waiting room (and if that's what the smell of the place was coming from - I want all of them.!!) AND a lil Keurig for tea and such to drink while you wait :) Which - wait ?? there was none - so that was great too! And then The price for my 60 min sports massage was super reasonable, and my therapist was AHHHHH-mazing!! I snatched that business card RIGHT off the wall when I left haha. Her pressure was perfect - deep enough to let me know that she was being hecka effective, but not so deep to where I was in pain the whole time... AKA I actually got to relax, AND I left feeling amazing. She also was so great about breaking up the session perfectly to give all my body the attention it needed in different problem areas. The front office staff are genuinely kind and knowledgeable. The quality of the sheets and bedding in the spa are top notch . The surround sound is at perfect level and soothing. The color of the paint throughout is light and the decor modern but not overwhelming. The ambiance of the lighting is not too dark but light enough to see with warmth. The LMT staff are excellent and knowledgeable in their field. They listened to what you need in the massage and spa and if you are not careful you might fall asleep! I usually go to Melanie M. She is fantastic! She puts a lot of much needed pressure. She also seems to take her time. I had a bit of wrist issue but I haven't had any issues with it since I became a little more consistent with booking. Today, I saw Sarah. She is equally as good! She is a little more technical and I loved that she paid attention to my posture before starting. She worked based on what she saw and I feel equally as great. The both of them frequently ask if you are doing okay as well. I have been to other massage therapists that seem to blast straight through process, regardless of how much pain it causes you. It's very quiet in there, very clean. I also like that they themselves don't talk much unless you show interest in doing so. It helps me relax with them much more. The staff made sure we understood the standard procedure for what we could expect with Swedish massage or Deep tissue massage. I think I ended up asking for something more along the lines of Swedish massage even though I booked us for a deep tissue couples massage. My husband and I really enjoyed it and will be sure to follow the instructions to hydrate to help clear any lactic acid from our wonderful massages. My therapist (Joy) was really responsive during the massage to my requests to increase or decrease pressure depending on what each area of my body could tolerate. I really needed a massage and was so glad I found this place with an opening on a Saturday. The online booking process was easy and straightforward which was nice. When I arrived the door was locked but I was let in by the front desk manager. She welcome me and went to tell my massage therapist I was there. After using their restroom which was super cute by the way, I went into the room where I would get my massage. It was really nice and relaxing. I immediately felt really peaceful. My massage therapist made sure I was comfy before starting and we talked about where I had tightness. Once she started I knew I was in good hands with the amount of care and attention she was giving to my trouble spots. Since I was getting a deep tissue massage she did an excellent job on applying different techniques and pressure to work out the muscles. The day before my appointment, I was emailed an intake form that asked about my treatment goals, any pain or issues I was having, what I had tried to deal with those issues before, etc. It was a huge vote of confidence for me, and made me feel like this place cared about my well-being and getting better. I went in with sore and tight muscles in my neck, back, and shoulders. Left feeling relaxed and the soreness was gone. I also had a reflexology session done by Joy as well. That was amazing.
