Tai is amazing for strong deep tissue massage. I love pain, and she brings it. Don't expect anything other than a good massage, these kind of places scare good people. This is a legit massage. Great massage by Andrea at Sabrina's! She concentrated on areas I wanted, so make sure you specify what you need because time will be spent on those areas only. I was able to book a massage within minutes of calling. Place is a bit hidden, so look for it under Teakwondo studio off San Pedro. Sabrina was nice enough to come out to make sure I found the place while on the phone with me. Funny how most reviews come from men. You ever heard of the massage with the "happy ending" this lady was so close on doing so. As I walked in I just had this weird feeling about the place. It smelled like food, the beds were just cheap & the rooms looked sketchy. The bedding looked like they don't change them after each client. This lady burped sooo many times, she almost touched my butthole & my butt is pretty bruised right now. She sat on my hand when she could easily just move it if it was on the way... When I went to pay I had $10 tip on my hand & was going to leave a $5 on card. As soon as she saw $5 on the receipt she immediately went "only $5 dollar?" YOU DONT DO THAT! I still gave her the cash but I should've just put it back in bag & leave. I felt disgusted with this place. Too bad it was Sunday at a time were no other massage place was opened... read more

I went last night and had to process my experience before posting a review. I left in shock.. let me explain. I am passing through town for work for the weekend. I get chinese massages about every week in my home town and wanted to get one here. This one had good reviews and was 4 minutes from me. I called to get a one hour massage to fit my budget $70 (plus tip). I arrive and they do not seem busy. I look at their menu and have questions. I see an option for 2 hours with a free table shower $140. Ok. never done that before.. let's try it. First thing that was odd was she demanded I pay first and in cash. OK.. so I'll tip later based on quality of massage. The massage was mediocre. She kept elbowing my spine and didn't take or understand my requests well. I'm thinking it's ok. We will get through this, so long as she lays off bone on bone. Then the table shower.. interesting experience. I was shivering so hard... I tried to remain relaxed and calm but I do not remember ever shivering so hard in my life. Not relaxing. Then I get dressed and leave. I offer a cash tip and she complains .. I empty my wallet and give her the remaining $30 cash. She still complains and wants $50. I said only by credit card but that's not what the original lady wanted. Because I didn't want to judge, I figured there's a reason she was pushy and needed the money more than me, so I gave her an extra $20 via credit card for a total of $50 on $140 mediocre massage. She turned rude at the end, showing me a ledger saying others tip $40 for one hour massage. Then she runs my card and tosses my card back at me to add insult to injury. I want everyone to know about my experience and expect to tip well for an OK massage or else you may get insulted on top of injury! I'm never coming back. One and done! Best wishes! read more

I've been going to Sabrina's for quite some time. Their "base price" is lower than most $60/hr. However, I don't think that the therapists get much of that money. I believe that is why the "push" for a larger tip. If I assume (unproven) that the therapists get minimum wage, I can undestand why they fuss if you give them a $5-$10 tip. I always get an excellent ligitimate massage there. I've paid a lot more for a lot less elsewhere! read more

First, Sabrina is an excellent massage therapist. I came after starting a motorcycle ride and realized that I was still hurting from an MC accident where I totaled my previous bike 10 months ago. It took me 6 months for my right leg to finally walk straight. However, I noticed I was still in pain from my hips and lower back. I went there because I passed the business on the way home. Long story short, the massage took out the pain from my lower back and hips. The pain level has been reduced from 8/9 to 1/2. I will go there again in the very near future to get rid of the muscle knots that I felt during the massage. I had researched her before covid in 2020 but did not go because of covid. She was the best massage therapist I've ever had!! I am a client for life ! I suffer from fibromyalgia and arthritis and for once in my life When I left I didn't feel pain, that's the most happiest Memory I will always carry with me. For those with the negative comments should go to a spa or don't go to a massage therapist at all because massage therapist are meant to get trigger points and other points that connect throughout the body, you can't massage one point and not another or massage the lower back and not the feet everything is connected and it takes a real massage therapist to know where they are so you can get relief from pain or have less tension so your body can relax after stress/ inflammation/ or body trauma. I am beyond grateful that I will no longer have to search for someone because I finally found a place to go regularly and will help with my pain! read more

Read this whole review to understand what type of massage is offered here... First of all: Wow! This was by far the best massage I have ever received. I can't imagine going anywhere else again. I have scoliosis and some recurring muscle issues, and I have been to quite a few massage therapists over the past dozen years or so. Some of them have been quite good, but this was in a league of its own. Sabrina is well-trained, and she provides true full-body massage. Sabrina is incredibly thorough and methodical. I couldn't believe how much she was able to work through in an hour. She is good at deep tissue massage, but she was always careful to ask if it was too hard. (I personally prefer someone who will actually work out the knots. I thought it was perfect.) She didn't give a "fluffy" massage like some therapists. I felt like I got way more than my money's worth. I felt like I had a newer and better body when I left. Some other posters have said they thought there wasn't adequate drapery (they provide a small towel). First of all, this is standard practice in Asian cultures. Be willing to try something new, people! Second, I would far prefer little-to-no drapery over too much drapery. I have had massage therapists who were so skittish about the body that they would ignore large muscle groups--or they would only massage through a sheet and do a very ineffective job. Sheets can be helpful for trapping body heat and using the heat to relax the muscles, but they only get in the way when working out knots. Sabrina seemed to be well acquainted with a "structural integration" approach. I've gotten to know several massage therapists over the years, and they have all said it's easier to get your body in proper alignment when they can see it. Think of it as medical care (which it is), and you'll see that your therapist can give you the best service when she can access the most information and have access to the areas she's working on. Sabrina was very professional. She did indeed work the full body--including the groin muscles (which is not the same as the genitals as another poster suggested). I have personally had some issues with my groin muscle in the past, and it can be horribly painful when surrounding muscles are worked on, but one area is ignored. I was so happy to find someone that wasn't afraid to work on all the body's muscles. Some massage therapists are so timid in this regard. I have been in pain at some other places, and the therapist wouldn't work on the areas that needed work. While some massage therapists deprive clients of much needed help due to prudish modesty standards, Sabrina is a consummate professional who provides true therapy and healing for the whole body. If you're still unconvinced, ask yourself, which is more professional: someone who is comfortable with the body, understands it, and works on it--or someone who is uncomfortable with the body and fails to provide the necessary care? I'll take the first one any day. So if you want a semi-adequate massage that sort of works out most of your knots and conforms to American body taboos, there are plenty of places you can go. But if you want a highly skilled therapist who will help your body experience optimal health, you owe it to yourself to try Sabrina! read more

I wasn't going to post a review until I was sure that my spine was bruised, and sure enough my masseuse had no idea how to give a massage. She rubbed her elbows and forearms on my bones, and now, over a day later, it hurts to lay flat on my back because of bruising on my upper thoracic spine. She would slap her hands down on my back and quickly and deeply rub a certain way over 40 times (I counted) for every technique, which is definitely NOT how you give any type of massage. She also heavily rested her forearm bone DIRECTLY on my spine while slapping and rubbing my lower back, which erased any sense of pleasure or relaxation I was trying to get out of it. It was painful and the opposite of relaxing, I highly do not recommend this place. I just gritted my teeth the whole time and prayed for the clock to go faster. It has a nice rating on yelp which is why I went to it in the first place, so I don't know if they hired new people or are under new management or something, but there was zero communication as well, I was just left in the room and had to open the door to ask what to take off since I didn't know what she was planning to do. Although my masseuse was a polite lady and I left a decent tip, she just doesn't know anything about the musculoskeletal system and I'm left in worse shape than I was. Even though it's more convenient with the walk-ins, there's a reason it's cheaper than normal. Please do not go here unless you're okay with fast and painful movements that do nothing to relax or relieve you or your muscles, and will possibly leave you with bone bruises. read more

I can't say that the massage therapist was bad because she wasn't but this place is very unprofessional. They only cover you up with a towel which is common for Asian massage place but the other places at least keep your private parts covered up. This place basically just had my $*% all out uncovered and were rubbing really high up to my private parts ...I tried not to flip out cuz it wasn't a guy but then the therapist left the room. And when she left the room she left with the door wide open and me full blown naked on the table. I finally had enough and got up and started getting dressed. She came back with a warm towel which I'm guessing is why she left... She couldn't Speak English so I just requested to leave and speak with the manager. The manager was like she just went to get a towel and made me pay. This place seems like they got some other stuff going on (if you know what I mean) I highly DO NOT recommend! read more

Wow, what a different experience Gina is writing about. I'm certain there was some misunderstanding of how professional massage works. I am a licensed massage therapist but yet need the services of another therapist on occasion. I've been going to Sabrina at this location and her old location for many years. I receive on a regular basis massages from Sabrina and from Lucy and I assure you they display the utmost professionalism throughout the massage. My friends go here too--many of them--men and women. Yes, proper draping is used--always. Sure you're covered with a towel and to apply oil, there must be access to the body. But the essential areas of your body are covered. I can assure you will NEVER be approached with any unsavory suggestions or desires for tips for "additional services." It just won't happen at Sabrina's Massage. When I read this review, I was shocked because I know both of these ladies and respect and benefit from their professionalism. Sabrina's massage is one of the few places in town where you can receive a true Ancient Chinese Therapeutic Massage that is delivered with true professionalism. Couples receive massage here on a regular basis. Women are regular customers. Senior adult men and women frequent Sabrina's massage because it is truly professional. So if you're looking for what many consider the best in town delivered in truly a professional manner, you should give it a try. You won't be disappointed. And Gina, if you want to talk about this, we should find a way to communicate, because I know for a certainty that this establishment is as reputable as they come and anything you perceived surely was a misunderstanding of how it all works. read more

I have gone to Sabrina's Massage several times over the past two-three months and have gotten a great massage every time. I usually get my massage from Sabrina and have found her to be very professionally skilled and personally pleasant at all times. Her English is good enough to hold a good conversation with her, and to communicate your directions regarding the type of massage (Swedish or Chinese), amount of pressure to be used comfortably, and areas that need more attention. Most of the massage was okay. She went over my spine a couple of times, and that is a easy no go for me. However there were certain parts where I think she did a really good job too. Like my triceps and legs. However I told her about my back issues and she still put me in a lot of pain in those specific areas. IDK if they were for better or worse but it was very uncomfortable. If I just wanted my arms and legs done I think it would have been a really great massage. read more
