This place is truly relaxing. Found this place through Yelp - the staffs were welcoming and so enthusiastic to tell you about what is Perspire all about. They introduce you from scratch and guide you to your room and provide informations on how to use it. For walk-in, you will get a sauna without its private shower, however for members you will get to have your own. In your room you will have access to different kind of color and a paper entails all the benefits of it. It also gives you access on the TV with YouTube, Netflix, etc. For 40-45minutes, you will have the sauna for yourself. At the end of your session they provide towels for your body and a minty towel outside that really helps you relax. They also have a public bathroom where you can change or just change inside your room. They focus more on Sauna, so this place indeed helps you to sweat and get your skin glowing. read more

Great experience here! I was definitely pain and stress free for a couple of days after. Privacy in a clean hot spot with TV or music or you can just relax and close your eyes if you prefer. Rooms are spacious and clean. if you do the membership, you get a room with a shower so you can do your session during lunch or on the way home. Staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. Perspire, where you come to relax and well.. perspire lol. I started coming here in October because of a Yelp Elite event. That blossomed into me signing up for a "iRelax" monthly membership, which gets you four 40-minute infrared therapy sessions per month for $79.99. Credits can roll over for up to 90 days. If you're like me and making a concerted effort to refocus, reemphasize and reprioritize self care in 2024, you should try out Perspire! It's a great way to release toxins and what I call, a lazy workout cuz you don't do any actual movement but your core is internally heating, causing you to sweat it out. I love that it keeps your metabolism/burn going for several hours after your session ends. As an added bonus for those who do purchase the membership, you get access to one of the suites with an in-room shower. We get 50min total in the room, that includes undressing, sauna, showering and/or redressing. I do a solid 40min sauna session and split my remaining 10 with undressing, showering and re-dressing. Came in to test out the new light therapy sauna session! I liked the atmosphere and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There's plenty of rooms so I didn't have to wait at all. I booked time online for a 40 minute sesh which is also the standard time you get if you go with a membership. I really like that you can customize the colors to your vibe and they offer option red light therapy. UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES. My husband and I booked a couples sauna here last weekend. We had both been to Perspire before and were strongly considering joining as Unlimited Members. When we arrived, we were greeted by a friendly associate. We asked how much our dual session would be. The friendly associate was very sweet and, without request, applied a "Free Visit" coupon to our session so we only paid for a single session rather than two. We really appreciated the good-faith gesture by the buiness (or so we thought), and had a wonderful couples session in the sauna. Upon exiting the sauna, however, we were met by a different associate - Arianna. At first she was friendly and inquired how out session went. However, she quickly became suspicious of us. She asked what our names are, and we told her. She proceeded to tell us that only one of our names was on the reservation. It was clear she had concluded I snuck in behind my husband for a freebie sauna session. We explained to her that a "Free Visit" coupon had been applied to the visit by the previous associate, and she said we could go. The terrific experience my husband and I initially had, prompting us to want to purchase memberships, vanished upon being treated as a couple of teenagers who snuck into the spa. To make matters worse, about 30 minutes after leaving, I received a text message from Arianna. The text message stated that I had already used my first-time "Free Visit" coupon. Therefore, she would be charging me for an additional $50 session. I explained to her AGAIN the situation, and that I would not accept the charge as this was not what the business quoted us upon arrival. Several hours later, she wrote back saying she would honor the discount but reprimanded me to not use a "Free Visit" coupon again. (Apparently, it will now be my job to patrol their employees who offer discounts.) Arianna offered no apology for the accusatory nature of our interaction, her failure to consult with other employees before confronting well-meaning guests, or any assurance that their employees would be trained better moving forward so this does not happen again. It is disappointing that Perspire is willing to throw away thousands of dollars in opportunity cost in order to chase $50 out the door -- especially when their own team granted the discount without request. We genuinely enjoyed our interaction with the first associate, and would have otherwise left with a very high regard for Perspire. It is even more disappointing that the business attempted to ILLEGALLY charge customers after the service was rendered at an agreed-upon rate. (Arianna: The customer you attempted to charge is, in fact, an attorney by trade.) This company needs to educate its employees on how the short term quest to collect a dollar destroys their reputation in the eyes of potential clients. Be wary of this place. read more

Came here not really knowing what to expect but Bethany explained everything to me and gave me a tour of the place and showed me how everything worked. The place is very neat and cleaned. I enjoyed the big water bottle that I was given'after my session. The room had a chair, towers, Tavern remote control, TV, towels and the room and light control center. The door can be locked from the inside for privacy and avoiding a stranger from opening your door. Overall, I felt really good afterwords! The only thing I was disappointed is the fact that you have to be a paying member to use their showers. This location was about an hour from where I live so being a member would not work at this time. However, Bethany told me there will be more locations near me next year! So I heard about Perspire Sauna Studio on Facebook. After hearing about the benefits I decided to give it a shot as a reward to myself for completing a workout program. I also suffer from psoriasis and joint pain so I thought this could help. I payed for the $20 session. I figured I would see if I liked it and then consider a membership. I was greeted by Rylee who was sweet and gave me a tour of the spa. I had followed the instructions upon arriving which was to have a snack,be hydrated/electrolytes and I hydrated during and after the session. It was an all around great experience for me and so needed. Fast forward to the next day. I took my son swimming,applied sunscreen as usual but ended up experiencing sun burn which never happens to me. I'm pretty sure I have only experienced sun burn once in my 40 years of life. So I googled sun exposure after red light therapy and there it was! Crucial to avoid direct sun exposure for 48 hours. I wasn't upset because I did have a good experience but I was disappointed. Today I received a text asking how my experience was. I brought up the sun burn only to get told Sun burns are the worst and essentially just trying to get me back in for more sessions. This is where I am upset! No apology whatsoever for not warning/advising me to stay out of the sun. No accountability whatsoever! So I decided I would definitely share both good and bad! I think this was vital information to know! Hydrate and stay out of the sun for a minimum of 48 hours! I'm so disappointed! I even read over all the pamphlets they leave for you to read over,looked over the welcome video you watch during your session,etc. There is absolutely NOTHING that warns/cautions you against sun exposure! The employee doesn't even tell you. Again, I wasn't upset initially but now I am. Upset and disappointed in the care that was received. I feel like they are more concerned about you locking in a membership than anything and that is not okay. I pray this is read by future customers so that they can protect their skin. Employees need to advise customers of before,during and after care! I have screenshots of the texts I am not sharing because obviously I know the employee wasn't intentionally trying to not be accountable but I am sharing my burn photos. When I arrived at the studio, K'waun was already expecting me! He went over what an infrared sauna is and the many benefits we can get from it. He showed me around and the location was very clean and minimalistic, I like the vibe. About the sauna-You burn calories, it detoxes your body of excess salts & toxics. I love that it helps boost immunity and my favorite is it also helps your skin since there is also red light therapy! If you are a member you will get a bigger sauna room that has a shower which is pretty sweet since it is all private. I believe as long as you are using a temp higher than 115, you'll get the benefits. You get a large towel, a smaller one, and a eucalyptus towel for the end of your session that felt amazing afterwards. You can change the light colors and each both has a different benefit, it's called color light therapy. I chose the yellow lights and that strengthens nerves and reduces inflammation. The room was clean and had a TV that has different streaming platforms and the speakers are inside the sauna. After the 40 minutes were over, I got dressed and dropped off my towels in the towel drop. I was asked for my preferences for my next visit. Both employees I interacted with were so nice and informative! Give this place a try, you won't regret it! read more

I received a complimentary single session for a Yelp Elite Event, and I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable Elite events I've been to yet! Girl mom with a three year old and four month old, so some quality Me Time was much needed and thoroughly enjoyed! K'wan greeted me and gave me the full run down of the studio and sauna - tons of info, but in a user friendly way so I wasn't overloaded. The complimentary bottle of water for a first timer was an added perk, and I chugged the whole thing in my 40 mins so it's a good thing I got it! I cranked my heat all the way up to make sure I got my sweat on at maximum capacity (by the end I was drenched), turned on my red light therapy, added the chromotherapy light on multi color, and then enjoyed a Netflix show uninterrupted by needy (yet delightful) kids. 40 minutes of nice, hot, bliss! My aches and pains from just getting old and hitting the gym have subsided, and even my skin feels clearer. And they save all your preferences, so each time you come in your room is prepped exactly the way you want it with a show lined up on the Telly and everything! I was NOT expecting to want a membership, but now I'm considering committing to the 4x a month membership. read more

It was so easy to schedule my appointment online. Received confirmation email and text message. Great friendly and helpful customer service. Received a warm welcome when I entered because they were already expecting me. The rooms were large and clean. The smell of eucalyptus as you walk in, sets you in a wonderful mood for relaxation. It was my first time there so I got a quick tour and debrief of how everything worked. It was a very nice experience to be able to enjoy the IR light and color therapy. You have the option to watch Netflix TV or listen to YouTube music. Total room time 50 mins. 5mins to get undressed, 40 mins sauna time, and 5mins to get dressed. The iced eucalyptus towel was definitely my favorite part, so refreshing. After the session you can drop off towels in the laundry bin. So easy and relaxing. They mentioned they were opening another Perspire in the Stone Oak area. However, unlike the I-10 location, they do not have any showers. Members at this Dominion location have the benefit of showers in there assigned therapy room. I can definitely see the benefits of cumulative therapy sessions. read more

This was so cool. First, I have never been to a regular sauna but know they use steam. This was completely different. My temp was set at 130 degrees and it goes up to 170 degrees. You can pick your lighting based on your needs once you get into your personal sauna. There is a place for your phone to completely disconnect, you have a TV with endless possibilities or music, you get a giant bottle of alkaline water, an ice cold eucalyptus washcloth that is so refreshing and 3 extra towels. It's super clean, the employees are so informative and nice and it was a great experience for Friday the 13th!! I did book another session, thinking about getting a membership. I am getting older, also since moving to TX have gained weight, my skin is angry, my joints and muscles hurt, so with all that said I'm super excited about the benefits of this!! First and foremost Angelique was so sweet and helpful, the exact kind of person you want greeting you as soon as you walk through the door. She made me feel very comfortable in this new experience. I was totally into the idea of getting my sweat on but a little skeptical about the color light therapy. I'm happy to say that I'm now a believer. I toggled back and forth through the red light and then orange through out my session. Instead of coming out feeling drained like I thought I might, I came out feeling great, like I was walking on air. I like that there's a short video explaining everything before choosing your media of choice in case you missed something that they told you when checking in. 130 was a great temp for me but appreciated that I could kick it up or lower it easily if needed. I do wish the timer had a beep or sound of some sort or the sauna turned off completely when your time was up though because I had to keep looking up to see how much time was left. Luckily I did because I would have overstayed my welcome other wise. I enjoyed the option to be able to watch my favorite show without being interrupted like I normally am at home. It made the time in the heat pass quickly and not as noticable that you were sweating. The eucalyptus towel at the end felt amazing after getting out of there! I got a concussion and came here the same day my lady cycle kicked up. I was nervous to come and try this place. After the experience when I tell you I was a brand new woman ready for bed!!! I felt so incredible, I was relaxed and my bloating went away. Not only that my acne and scaring faded on my face. Bethany at the front desk was very professional and gave a tour and explained what the sauna experience would be like. I really enjoyed that the temperature could go from 130-170° and I really started to sweat at 150°. I also enjoyed the different options for the radiant light therapy. I will definitely be back and you can also watch TV while your in the sauna (which is in private rooms) as the sauna is Bluetooth connected to audio. Angelique greeted me and was so helpful in explaining the different benefits of IF sauna and red light therapy. Your own private room is like a little sanctuary where I chose to play the soothing music on the TV while hydrating with a big bottle of water they provided. You get to completely personalize your experience with red light therapy, color therapy to suit your mood or benefit preference, music or Netflix anyone? and a temp that's to your liking. Forget a hair tie? No problem, they've got you covered. I chose 150 degrees today to get a major detox going and also got so relaxed I fell asleep for a bit :) Once finished, the cold eucalyptus infused towel was heaven to help me cool down and provide an aromatherapy boost. From being greeted by Lia at the Dominion location, where I recently moved, to the very end of my 50 minutes inside my private sauna room, I was delighted with the graciousness and knowledge she shared. Perspire Sauna Studio with is a welcomed addition to the therapeutic and relaxation market here in San Antonio. Most wet or dry sauna's heat up the air to illicit the psychological response of sweat and the therapeutic benefits that follow. Perspire uses "Infrared" lighting through the use of panels which heats the body through electromagnetic radiation to heat the skin directly. The difference is you get the same if not greater results of traditional saunas without the discomfort of your body forcing itself to sweat through hot air. I was in this sauna for 40 minutes sweating like crazy but was relaxed in my own private studio listening to complimentary lofi music. Of course you can watch tv or listen to something else as you're given a remote to control the tv on the outside. Regular saunas illicit your brain to go not survival mode to regulate your body temperature so even if you get the benefits of sweating I down feel they are relaxing like Perspire's infrared saunas. You're given plenty of options for colors, plenty of towels as they are all explained on how they are used. I loved the final towel which was a eucalyptus towel for your face. Victoria was friendly, warm and informative and toured the facility with me. It's clean, high quality and probably the best value for a form of therapy on the market. A final note is you have plenty of time to get situated in the sauna and get cleaned up and leave. I never felt rushed. I will be getting a membership in December when the Stone Oak location opens.
