Going to Float is an amazing experience from beginning to end. The staff was very professional, and set me up for a massage and an hour float. The spaces in Float are so beautiful and zen, I was instantly transformed and impressed by the beautiful details everywhere. My blood pressure lowered just going into the massage room- I was surrounded by tons of candles and soft ambient music. Amazing massage! All the details are considered and everything I needed was there- from a soft bathrobe to a nice cup of tea in the lounge area afterwards. The owners have truly thought of every detail. There is a nice variety of awesome local art for sale which I really liked seeing. The floating experience itself was something that was both exciting and calming. After the massage, the staff took me to my pod room and explained the process. I showering off I got into a "pod". The pod looked like a little space ship!!! I focused on my breathing and achieved a sense of floating in space that was unbelievable!! I have already made an appointment to come back. I learned about floating and sensory deprivation from listening to Joe Rogan. But I never had the opportunity to do it until now. I heard about Float from some friends on Facebook, and I scheduled my appointments with Float through their website, which was pretty easy. Lots of good info as well. I got the tour from the owner, Jeremy, who is really friendly, laid-back, and easy to talk to. He answered all my questions without any hesitation. He even told me a lot of the theory behind floating, and then how to experience your first float and what to expect. The place is gorgeous inside! Jeremy and his team did a great job. There's a locker room to change in, a lounge area when you finish your float, and some beverages to sip on. I was completely satisfied, so I booked two more appointments. I wanted to write this raving spectacular review for Float. I'm not the best writer but bare with me for an honest and open review. At the age of 21 I had two consecutive back surgeries. Seems somewhere in my childhood I fell on my butt and caused some damage. It's been 14 years since surgery. Nerve damage in both legs and lots of scar tissue. Fast forward to current times. I've learned to deal with the back and nerve pain. They have become just a part of who I am. In recent year i developed pain on the left side of my head. Occipital nueralgia. Feels like a screwdriver is being jammed into my eye socket. And then have episodes of pain along the eye and cheek bones. Over the last year I've looked for pain relief in all corners of the world. Got a daith piercing, tried herbal remedies, lost 70 pounds and many other things. I reached out to Jeremy for an appointment on messenger and was responded to almost instantly. Appointment booked! Time for my first float. I was super nervous! I'm a large plus size lady and it's always so hard to go into any establishment and not feel a little embarrassed. Worried about fitting into robes, or if I'll even fit in the equipment. I arrived at Float and was welcomed into an atmosphere of love and no judgment. Without even having to ask I was handed a super plush robe that fit!!!! The ladies locker room is outfitted with anything you need to get back out into the world. Combs, hairdryers, hair products and so much more. Once changed into the comfy robe, you are then asked to enter heavens chair placed on earth. This zero gravity massage chair covered everything. Arms, legs, back, neck and even feet. Ah-mazing! As you relax in this state of the art machine and take in the beauty of the room itself. Above are twinkling stars and what resembles a moon. If you look close enough you can find the big and little dipper. This starts the float experience for me as I felt I was already floating under the stars. Once the massage is completed comes the exciting part. The FLOAT! Sound proof rooms house these alien looking spaceships. Kind of daunting at first. But with everything explained I'm off to float. In the room, the pod exudes humid warmth. Before you get to float though a quick rinse is needed. I'm a simple country girl we have crappy shower heads at home and showering is just a requirement that has to be done. Not at Float. Waterfall type shower head. The flooring was really cool as well. A textured charcoal that would make even the most fearful of slipping pleasantly at ease. Pod time! Enter the warm pool of water and lay back. Your body becomes suspended and for me weightless. At 345 pounds weightless is not a feeling I ever feel. This took so much pressure off my back and legs. As the music softly plays you explore your environment and slowly realize no ones going to bother you. Your safe. Lights out. You cant tell if your eyes are open or shut. You feel nothing unless you wiggle a bit. You lose the feeling of where the water ends and the air begins. The music slowly fades away and your left with silence. Peaceful relaxing silence. No whir of a fan, no chatter, nothing. Babump. Babump. Babump. Your heartbeat becomes deafening. Slowly breathing in and out, you hear your breathe as it enters and leaves your body filling every cavern of your cavity. The humid thick air makes a cloud blanket that warms the skin and feels almost like a hug. I was able to freely stretch while suspended. I've been working on writing this review for a few days. I went looking for a miracle for my head pain, instead I found clarity about myself and relief from my everyday aches and pains. My lower body which is riddled with nerve pain felt soothed for the evening and into the next day. It felt like the release was just enough for some pressure release on a nerve somewhere. Ok so once you get out of the pod you can hang out, read, chill, look at local art and just be. Trust. You'll need a minute to acclimate back to the noisy world. Overall amazing experience! Where to begin how mind blowing this place is. I've never even seen a FLOAT pod or heard of one. The experience put me in a trans deeper than any massage has. The ladies and gents were beyond sweet and caring. It's super clean and relaxing. What is a float pod and what do you do? Well you have the option of floating with or without clothes. Don't worry it's super salty which equals pretty clean. When you are in the pod, let the salts and water relax you. The water is the temp of your skin so it's not cold which I loved! The massage chairs are amazing! They do regular massages as well and are very fair priced for what you get. I loved everything about this place. Came out with three gift certificates. This was my birthday gift to myself and it truly was the greatest gift I could have given myself emotionally, spiritually, mentally and physically. In every aspect of every way. It was a healing session and just what I needed. I started off in a relaxing room where I received my chair massage. Then introduced to the pod I would be in. Once in the pod you are floating on 1000 pounds of Epsom salt...in the pod all your senses are deprived which allows you to relax, your body feels at ease and restful, light but heavy at the same time. It was the most therapeutic thing I've experienced. It's so quiet in the pod- you can hear your thoughts but not just hear them you can feel them, you can live them like you're hallucinating into them. Which can be scary but so worth it. The mind is a strong and incredible thing. At first you only hear your breath, but after a while you hear nothing, you become one with the water and you can't even feel your body. It was extremely freeing, scary at first because once you're in the zone, you're not in control of your mind for an entire hour but it was so cathartic, you get an emotional release. Your mind dives into thoughts old and new. You feel like what you're dreaming/ thinking of is so vivid and real like you're hallucinating. I was able escape from the noise of my life and free my soul. It definitely is a life changing experience and I can't recommend this place enough! *** Plus the service was phenomenal. They provide you with robes, flip flops, towels, complimentary snacks and beverages, a relaxation area where you can unwind and journal after your float session. If you're iffy about floating in the nude you can rest easy, they give you your own sound proof room with the pod and shower in it that has a lock. All pods have a hydraulic door so you can open and close it, no latches no handles. They provide you with your own locker and a changing area that has all you need in it. read more

The float experience is one that everyone should try at least once; especially if you need to relax and unwind. It works like this: first you get a clean robe, some flip flops, then 15 minutes in a massage chair to start the relaxation process, then a shower before and you finally enter a very private pod or cabin with about 12 inches of body temperature water that contains about 1200 of salt added to it. The added salt (I think it's Epsom) makes you completely buoyant. It's also very healing. Just don't get it I your eyes, but if you do, there's a fix for it handy. You float in the water...the music fades away...the lights go out.... and you're alone with the sound of your own breathing and thoughts...and you just float. You will get the sensation of total weightlessness, you will drift away, you will relax like you never have before. For an hour, your body will release tension. It has no choice. You may even fall asleep (that's ok). You can't sink in the water...I even tested it by reaching down to touch the bottom, and it was tough to do. As your hour expires, the music fades in, the lights come on, and if you're lucky, you've also booked a massage afterward. Following the float, there is a shower for you with shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, and when you're all done, you can sit in the lounge and enjoy some warm tea. If you've booked a massage, that's next, and following that, you head back to the locker room where everything is available for you from clean combs, hair care products, and even deodorant. Trust me when I tell you that you will sleep well that night. I think they should keep the healing sounds on throughout. Silence can get VERY loud and even be distracting to the point of "are we there yet? ". Besides that, it was a wonderful experience. There was a hiccup on my first visit, but they made it right and the owner is a really nice guy. Do yourself a favor, and at least try it. You won't regret it. read more

This was my first time trying this experience and I enjoyed it a lot more than expected. I first caught eye of Float on Groupon, but while exploring the website, went with the TriFloat package. Scheduling online was super easy, and the location was also easy to find. They literally had everything you could ever need, make up remover, female hygiene products, shampoo/conditioner, bodywash, hair dryer, etc. The 15min massage chair was a great way to kick off the relaxing experience. The place is OK, but the customer service is not that great. Went in there for my first float and the representative was rushing to tell me the procedures, but thats fine. The problem I got was the SpaFinder gift card that I used. It was a $100 gift card that I used $49 with my float. I wanted to make sure that the card will be OK to be used at this spa and it did, but the problem is that the card is a one time use no matter how much the service is as long as it is under $100. It was my fault that I didn't know that the card is "one time use". So my remaining balance of $51 was gone without being used. The representative did not tell me about this and did not provide any accommodation for the remaining balance. I feel like they just take the whole $100 without letting me know since it's one time use anyway. I messaged them back few hours later after I found out about the zero balance and the representative did not help at all and just said the manager will reply me in a few days. Not sure why it would take few days. It is now been 9 days and still no reply. Either the representative did not transfer my issue to the manager or the manager does not care at all after they took the money. read more

Wow. This place is amazing. Worth the trek from stone oak to 410/10. Be sure to leave plenty of time for all this place has to offer. Private, quiet and well-stocked dressing room, the chill lounge, the pod itself (which is just an incredible experience, but so individual, I don't want to go into too much detail).
