Would have given more stars but I had terrible costumer service from the guy working the register, he was super rude. I got the California burger with garlic fries and a cookies and creme milkshake. The burger was delicious, really good bun and yummy toppings, but the fries totally tasted like frozen fries. The milkshake was really good but a lil pricey. The manager/owner? Saved my whole experience, he made the situation right and I left happy even though the guy working the register had previously made me never want to come back. I will give this place another chance, just because the manager/owner was so nice and the food is good and I'd like to try some other options. read more

I get the hangover burger with with a salad. Had the fries and the Curly fries they have the cane sodas as well as regular fountain not too mention hey make a good shake even with the increasingly rare malt option;) Great value not cheap but not expensive either. Love this place! I go every time I'm in town and leave full, happy, and satisfied! The atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Good service, nice staff, and tasty burgers! Their milkshakes are good (I've only had the strawberry). I always have the California Sensation burger (nothing else...yet) because it's loaded with sprouts and fresh avocado and the "frings" (half order of french fries and onion rings each). The food is fresh and more upscale than a fast food joint, and a little more pricey too (bout $15-$20 per person), BUT well worth it! Just go! You won't be disappointed! read more

Great Food, Great Family Service, Brotherly Love, I live on Lakeshore and passed this place up for years. I decided to visit and immediately knew I would like it. The menu has a healthy variety to choose from. No meat burgers, sweet potatoes instead of normal fries and healthy drinks. But they also have all meats, garlic fries, cream sodas and much more typical foods that we all love. The two brothers that run it treat everyone and I mean everyone like family. They don't nickel and dime you on anything. Its just great service and food. They have beer and wine to choose from and they also have a large flat screen tv to watch games. This is a new local gem. Yes the burgers are large - just share it. We went there with two adults and two kids and ate for $24.00. Three of us shared a burger, four of us shared a shake and fries, and one kid ate a whole hot dog. I have since returned and shared a burger and frings which were awesome. I don't like onions but these rings totally rock. The burgers are juicy, the bun holds up, and the fries are crispy. They're open every day so it's easy to drop by and eat. I had to swing by AT&T today, and noticed that there was a new burger joint nearby, so I figured why not, eh? Super glad I went! I got the Lakeside Heat, which was juicy and delicious and cooked exactly like I'd asked for. It came with very well grilled onions and peppers, the chipotle mayo was really good, and the bun was perfect for the task at hand! To give you an idea of how ravenously I devoured this beastly burger, I realized after eating it that I hadn't even noticed the lettuce or pickles or onions that were on the side. I like this place. I'm a meat eater and my boyfriend is a vegi. Flipside makes getting a burger much easier. The choices are nice. I think the concept of making your burger like a burrito is great, though confusing to start: pick your filling: burger, chicken, turkey, garden burger, or portabella and then dress it up: California style or Cowboy. Came in late Sunday afternoon and ordered two burgers for my cousin and I. First off, the service was higher than expected after reading through the other Yelpers. It's hard to please everyone, but I was impressed with the quality, presentation and service given to me. The burger was not burned, the bread was still soft and everything is neatly presented on the tray. I have yet to finds other burger spot in the general area that can compare with quality/price. This is a great little burger place! The owner is extremely nice and hardworking. We tend to go in after a late night at work and he's always attentive to his customers even at the end of the day. Their burgers are pretty amazing. I love all their options. My boyfriend asks for medium rare, and he gets it! I get the turkey burger and it is never dry as some tend to be. The burger buns, white and wheat are awesome. Better than Barney's. I definitely recommend stopping by, and it is fun to support local, neighborhood restaurants:-) read more

I'm a big fan of Flipside simply because I think the food is delicious, the menu is extensive and all of the choices are excellent, and the service is really good. The prices are pretty high for a burger joint, but decent if you're willing to pay for ambiance and friendly service. The fries and shakes there are the big sellers for me. Last time I was there I had gotten off work pretty late and was grouchy and starving - I knew they were closing up soon but figured I could slip in, devour a burger and fries, and slip out. I didnt want to inconvenience them or give them a lot more to clean up. The two boys working were so kind and gracious though. They were both extremely friendly and happy to serve me, they told me over and over to take my time and stay as long as I wanted, and the food was as good as ever. Went here with my husband and 4 children we spent $72 for what we could have spent $35 at the grocery store. I had the Lakeshore Bleu which was a beef patty grilled onions and bleu cheese crumbles on Texas toast. Three of the kids had the grilled cheese and fries from the kids menu which they enjoyed. My husband had the Islander but said it had too much teriyaki sauce on it. The pickles on the side were clearly not fresh and the tomatoes were also limp and discolored. Not the best deal for the dollar, but not overly expensive. Been here twice and really liked my burger and my chicken sandwich. Fries were good, portions good sized and I enjoyed my food. Wait for the food was reasonable and I like that I can get a salad with my meal. I love good fries and they have good fries, but if I eat them all the time, well, I'd be dead. This is one of my favorite burger joints in the Bay. The burgers are great, made with high quality ingredients, and cooked just right. I've been there many times since the restaurant opened, and the food has always been consistently good. I also like the decor. The place is bright and always spotless. I also enjoy the flat screen television on the wall, where I can catch a quick sports highlight or game while enjoying my food. Last but not least is the customer service. The owner is very personable and always checks to see that everything is good with my food. The rest of the staff is equally courteous and friendly. I will definitely be coming back again! read more

Went to flipside for a burger, asked for medium well and my burger was so tough it tasted like cardboard fries were excellent I realize that the workers are there to work and get the orders out there is no integrity at cooking the burgers as they are not trained cooks lots of talking while they are at the grill back there manager very nice and friendly this is the 2nd time in 6 months that the meat was tough I will have to find a new burger place :( read more

Why 5? After they were closed (at 8:30 p.m.) they unlocked doors and said it was ok to go in (and keep waiting for the burgers that I had purchased an hour prior). Suggestion: Close two hours earlier so that those that buy 5 burgers at essentially 10$ a pop don't leave with cold fries and an incomplete order. Hope: That the good intentions of the business owners translate into quality burgers served within a reasonable time. read more

i definitely would rate flipside 5 stars. They have great staff, and awesome burgers. They give you a good portion of food and its very delicious. I think veggie burgers are the best. The vegetarian burgers are so good i can't decide which one is the best everyone needs to try it out. The burger also comes with a nice side of fries or salad you decide. I think i like the curly fries the most they are really good. Flip side is also an awesome place to hang out with friends at. I recommend everyone to go try it out. read more
